There was a scheme mooted by the Conservatives whereby on the day of your retirement, you could choose to pay a one off fee, £8,000 I think it was, and then if you ever needed residential care in the future the state would take care of it indefinitely. A bit of a gamble, but it keeps the house safe. I would certainly think about it when my time comes.

I certainly agree with him regards the egocentricity and arrogance of humans in relation to their surroundings and in comparison to the other life forms around us. It doesn't always seem to be the case though, some societies manage(d) to live completely at one with their surroundings and other animals, so I don't think it's innately part of human character to think this way. Certainly though, the more people are educated about our surroundings; space/earth/nature/science the better, I'm pretty certain about that.

Would you say that league 1 makes their chances of a takeover better, worse, or not relevant. Personally I would have thought worse. The debt remains the same wherever they are, but as a league 1 side there's surely less chance of turning a profit (as if lol) with lower attendances etc.

Skate colleague of mine said yesterday that he actually wants them to get relegated as they will be a less expensive club to purchase in league one which makes takeover more likely. Can't see the logic really, as the debt won't disappear over night and it is that which is preventing them from being sold, whichever league they're in. I can't see past liquidation for them truthfully.
