Presumably if they don't make profits then the shareholders aren't very happy?

....so far Lee's knees have been Premiership quality, it's just the rest of him. We'll laugh about all this one day.

Anyone have any latest news on either of these guys? I haven't heard anything about Tadanari for, well it seems like an age.

Buying goats milk as a protest is an option for consumers.

As a condition, would it be worth suggesting that we make them wear slippers so they don't mess up the pitch?

I expect the Taliban would say it was in the name of Islam. I would suggest one's on a sticky wicket attempting to decide whose version is and isn't correct in respect of Islam, when punishments are being meted out.

Mods, can you merge all this lot? We have a dozen threads on the same subject.

I said 16th at the start and, if we're lucky enough to stay relatively injury free, I'm confident we can still achieve that with the squad and manager we have.

I don't have any particular bad feelings about him as a bloke or a manager, but I think Adkins hasn't anywhere near used up all his lives on this club yet. He'll end up at QPR I imagine.

D'oh, yeah, could well have been that one. -

This has been bugging me for a while. There was a goal scored by us whilst being managed by the Dutch. I can't tell you who scored it or even who we were playing against, but the game was on Sky and we were heavily defeated, possibly 4-1. We did score this one goal though and predictably it was a roll out by Kelvin and about a dozen or so passes which ended up in the goal. I particularly remember the commentator saying that if that goal had been scored by Arsenal they would be discussing it for goal of the season. Stretching the memories a bit I know. -
We are going to **** on this league!

Just seen who started the petition, "Dr Brian May CBE".

Mmmm, this is not as black and white as I thought.

Actually I expect you could. If the canteen routinely served pork meat products then I doubt employment there would realistically be viable for the Muslim. I'm sure in restaurants with a wider range of foods it is accepted that Muslim employees are permitted not to have to deal with specific foods, but for protection I would expect that to be written into their contract. I don't know the detail of the case of this councellor, but I don't really see this as a religious issue. First and foremost it seems to me an employment law issue. I'm no expert but most sensible employers that I've worked for have been lenient towards religious requests, even for time off at certain times to pray. But as far as I'm aware the religious can't demand that right, it's at the employer's discretion. Personally I can't see them getting anywhere with it.

However, the National Secular Society - which campaigns against "religious privilege" - said a European court ruling in favour of the quartet would undermine UK equality law. Two different situations here, as I see it. As above, I don't really see there's an argument that someone is benefiting from "religious privilege" by wearing a cross or a badge. Of course people should be able to wear these things should they want. I'd be unhappy with a society that banned them. This however: Mr McFarlane, a Bristol counsellor, was sacked by Relate after saying he had a conscientious objection to giving relationship advice to gay people .... is different. Personally I am glad he was sacked. Fine, if you don't want to talk to gay people, then don't talk to them. If it's part of your job then you can expect to be sacked. To suggest that because it's your religion you are entitled to bring these prejudices into society and we all have to accept them.....no. By all means keep the thoughts to yourselves or talk amongst your religious friends, but don't try to force society to legitimise them.

Nice theory, but I see a big hole in it.

If they liquidated, wouldn't it be better for them to do that with a clean slate and not have any debts?

I know you specified West, but just to give some perspective about travel times. I used to live in Lewisham (S.East Zone 2) and got to Chancery Lane every morning in 40 minutes door to door. Packed smelly train to London Bridge of course, then Northern Line, then Central. A bit longer if you want to sit and read the paper on the Docklands Railway. Get a bit more house for your buck and I found it fine.

Loads fine for me and is quick, and my pc was the second cheapest in PC World about 5 years ago.
