Post Match Reaction: Manchester United 1-1 SAINTS
Manuel replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
MOTD utterly biased in favour of Man U and not a fair reflection of the game. We're the top four now, give us the coverage FFS! -
Managers have had loads of time to prepare for this game. Maybe the best tactics will win today.
-
Wish England well but am not particularly fussed. Would take 3 England losses if it meant 1 Saints win. Beat that!

Weird, the offer is only available if you purchase at the ticket office. £60 offer not available on website and not available via the phone, confirmed via booking line this morning. You'd have thought they'd want to encourage folks to use the site. Never mind. Edit, just worked out that extra price is 4 x booking fee.
-
Website doesn't allow purchase at that price for me. The only thing I can gather is that my kids are not set up as customers although the wife is, but setting the kids up doesn't work on the site despite several attempts. You can only add a relative if you have the customer number which the kids don't have and the site won't give me. Trying to buy with wife and 2 under 11's costs £98.00. Will have to phone tomorrow then.

I'd like to see "Value of players" within that period.

I thought they were real, but she's a good ten feet away and that hoody is pretty baggy.

I'm glad O'Connor went public with her thoughts, then again I'm not Miley Cyrus (despite persistent rumours). Sensible thoughts from O'Connor and I'm not sure Cyrus has much to complain about. If you take your clothes off for an international pop single then you must expect people are going to talk about it. The thing I take from the exchange is that O'Connor makes some interesting and thought provocative points and Cyrus doesn't.

For future transfer activity, lets avoid Serie A...

Gaston does not seem to have been good value but way too early to speculate on Osvaldo. -
Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 2-0 Crystal Palace
Manuel replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Yet again not the most exciting football I've ever seen, but I won't argue with 4th in the Prem. -
Lovren pulling shirts in the box again.
-
Nice finish from Osvaldo. Will open things up now.
-
Palace very deep now.
-
Again we do seem very solid defensively but seem to have lost all creativity going forward. Perhaps this is the consequence of having a central defender as a manager.
-
Having difficulty finding the strikers again.
-
Cheers mate.
-
If they're not filling the ground I am always in favour of the "bring a kid for a pound" promotions.
-
1-0 Saints (Lambert penalty). Hope there's a bit more to it than that but that's how I'm feeling right now.
-
Do what you want, I'm still gonna score in a minute.
-
I guess if he scores one or two he might get himself back in the team....

Debate needed on veils in some public places, says minister
Manuel replied to holepuncture's topic in The Lounge
I agree I think hospital work with patient contact should be one of those situations where veils are not allowed. I expect we could draw up a list of situations where it would not be appropriate to be covered up and society could debate the finer details e.g. security/education/communication. But a ban would mean you couldn't walk down the street in your own time covered up, which is I think is what's on the table, and I would argue against. It would also mean I wouldn't be able to bring out my spandex all over body suit which I enjoy from time to time when I want to be private. -
Once the debate moves on from initial posturing nationalism and the financial nitty gritty begins to be thrashed out, I think the Scots will see sense and vote to stay as they are.

Debate needed on veils in some public places, says minister
Manuel replied to holepuncture's topic in The Lounge
The article doesn't really add to the debate in my opinion. Yeah she is probably using the veil to her advantage, attempting to protect her anonymity (and failing), but only in the same way as someone covering their head and face with blankets/coats as they enter and leave court. So I don't have an issue with it. The veil has not helped her here. -

No mention of a veil in that report. And she's been successfully prosecuted. Nice trolling.
