One point he makes is that for some, the wearing of a poppy becomes indistinguishable from 'support of military action' in modern times. Like it or not, some people see the poppy as supporting current military action. I guess that's the trouble with generic symbols or badges is that they can mean different things to different people. At the end of the day, because of our freedoms, one has the choice whether or not to wear, or to remember or commemorate as we see fit.
