  1. Yeah and is fast enough to cause problems right from the faceoff.
  2. Well certainly seems more media savvy than Cortese.
  3. Same old issues for us in the last third, however I thought it was quite a comfortable win and we deserved it.
  4. Has his arms folded though - negative body language.

  6. Will be interesting to see if we have more attacking presence with Clyne's deliveries today.
  7. It's a tough challenge, on the one hand trying to keep certain schools from regressing back towards the dark ages, while on the other hand having those who are religious being comfortable about being educated there. Best off with religion out of the classroom altogether (except as a subject i.e. R.E.) and this would mean no Christian prayers either. Regarding sex education, teaching about homosexuals (whatever that means) and mixed swimming, I guess if you have an objection you should be permitted to exclude your child from these events. I imagine you already can.
  8. No, but he does have speed, supreme fitness, and can score a few. I too prefer Lambert but the space between them is diminishing, and they offer different things.
  9. The delivery to Lambert was poor most of the game. Shaw and Chambers' crosses were often pretty wayward. Playing through the middle doesn't seem to be paying off lately either, and I'm not sure that suits Lambert's game, despite his excellent touch. For those who say Gaston for Lambert, are you talking about a direct replacement?
  10. Give Sam Gallagher a start?
  11. Gaston on......well we asked for it!
  12. Looked like it rebounded off Fonte's knee?
  13. If we're losing after half time I reckon we'll see Gaston on pretty quickly.
  14. So he speaks Spanish to the English press and English to his Argentinian translator. Not one for convention, our Mauricio.
  15. He won't be able to sue for that, could too easily be seen as accidental. For me though, it's often pretty clear, especially with all the camera about these days when there's a genuine challenge against when there's an obvious assault. Usually you'd sort it out on the pitch, or the ref would, but if it puts someone out for months then why not sue?
  16. I guess a way a landlord could be perceived as being "good" for the community would be him to be an excellent and committed landlord and perhaps to offer rents at slightly lower than usual rates. If that were the case he could own as many properties as he wants for all I care.
  17. Not really a "business" though, just investment for him. I doubt he'll be employing many and certainly takes more out of the taxation system than puts into it. Not a contributor to society really, mere self interest.
  18. I always liked this one, even the black shoulders. But would be happy with most red/white stripes combo really.
  19. I wouldn't bin the letters though, keep hold just in case.
  20. Half time entertainment to rival the superbowl.
  21. Was a breath of fresh air today. Hope he's not an expensive super-sub though and can contribute at that level for a whole game.
  22. I think you should save this for the "Are you ambivalent about whether MP stays or goes" thread which is no doubt about to appear any time soon.
  23. Is our lack of cutting edge upfront the result of managerial inadequacies from a defensively minded manager who struggles to motivate strikers, or a personnel issue (i.e can be easily solved with spending in the right direction)? What has changed from when teams were unable to score against us, to now when we seem a little more vunerable at the back. Lack of managerial interest or as a direct result of injuries to Borac, Lovren, Vic and lack of defensive depth?
  24. Technology Chat.
