I was in a similar situation to you where I was initially intending to ignore and wait to see if they issued court proceedings, but was due to move house. Advice I was given was that if the parking company do take it to court, you not having received the court proceedings letters because you've moved, and therefore doing nothing, means the court will automatically judge in favour of the parking company. They can then legitimately pass it to receivers/bailiffs who are likely to make some effort to find you and all the added costs etc. So the moving kinda complicated it enough for me and I ended up caving in and paying up. Hardest cheque I ever had to write but I didn't want all the hassle following me to the new address.

Religion should stay out of politics. Religious affiliation should need to be declared by political candidates in my opinion. As for whether we are a "Christian Country"? I would ask what on earth that means. We are a country of individuals with many differing views and affiliations so as an entire country I would be cautious about saying we are this or that. Also I think one needs to look at statistics regarding faith, but even then be cautious as the polls are often biased or misleading. Are you really a Christian, even though you might tick the box on the census to say so, but don't go to church, and haven't really, properly, given the concept of an overseeing, omnipotent deity any real thought philosophically or scientifically? Plenty of those about. Christian because they're parents were etc...

I did also wonder what the hell was going on with Boruc. No shot on target for him to save for 2/3 of the game then he started putting us into problems, bizarrely, for no good reason, and when he wasn't doing that he was kicking the ball all over the place like a novice. Odd.

Odd when he came on, didn't seem able to turn with the ball, no urgency, seemed only able to pass it back from whence it came despite being in a couple of good positions. I wondered if it was lack of confidence but then he did contribute to J-Rod's goal. I was ready to give him a hard time but in mitigation it was his his head which cleared it from our box at least twice when we were under the cosh for a few minutes.
