  1. going to have to change my icon
  2. Sad day. Hope he goes to Italy. Would hate to see him in a Fulham or a West Ham shirt.
  3. You probably don’t need a release clause. Scottish players don’t lose their international selection rights by being in the championship. And RM played alongside him a while ago.
  4. saw Mane at the emirates in his first saints sub appearance (work had Arsenal tickets and nobody else wanted them that evening).. gave him 9 in the player ratings and everyone else gave him a 0 so even Sadio Mane takes a while to become Sadio Mane in the eyes of our folks.
  5. Summer 26. Celtic rumours but RM has ScotMafia powers. When not injured is spectacular.
  6. Six years to become a basic solicitor after the law degree while you work on mundane tasks like property searches or probate inheritance allowances . Contrast that with the cut and thrust of the premiership touchline (and the salary). Is there a choice ? it’s stu’s choice and I’ll respect whatever he chooses. He’s clearly smarter than the average midfielder (apart from Socrates).
  7. Keep Stu and make him do his coaching badges. He can 45/45 groundshare with Lallana then when RM gets poached they can fight to be the next manager. And on strikers.. are they still interested in Shankland ? He may get a run out at the euros at Che's expense so worth watching
  8. Apologies is this was posted as it's a long thread. BBC Leeds have similar partisan coverage to our own Blackmore/Tessem channel. I think their control room techs were less law abiding and switched back on their feed at 5pm so it includes the last couple of minutes of play. This is what they made of losing. It's what we'd have done if we hadn't pulled it off. All the what-ifs and what-nexts you'd expect from a club staying down. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0hzb5gx
  9. It's heading that way. All we need is Dykes up front now.
  10. I did wonder but no time to dig as the goals were rattling in.. reviews of KS... may explain some of the mess What are the disadvantages of Kaltura? Kaltura drawbacks Reviewers note that the user interface is “clumsy,” that “there are a number of illogical omissions in their product capabilities,” and that some settings are “extremely difficult to customize.”
  11. Not working here (UK-Scotland).. Money back process ?
  12. Since moving out of the Solent FM area to north of the border the Saints app is all I have. I didn't pay because it was unclear if it was going to be the solent sports stream on the saintsfc website (which would have been a pretty good selling point). Now I know I'll pay up as wiring a FM radio in front of the security camera at my dads house in Hampshire might be a little excessive. If you think this is boring, spare a thought for the folks up here who want to watch Stu and Che play their internationals which isn't on BBC Scotland or STV and only available on viaplay while England games are shown to the locals on BBC so they can cheer "anyone but england"
  13. Also Che is unlikely to lose out on his international selection by being in the championship which would be a factor for the england boys.
  14. That's good enough for me.. There's a lot of good left backs north of the border.
  15. getting the shopping bus down from Andover with the old ladies with their bags on wheels. Having to leave the Dell 10 minutes before the end of the game or you were trapped in Southampton. And all this for 2nd Division football.
  16. Stu and Che playing well and regularly bodes well for scotland ukraine.. assuming there is a ukraine in a month.
  17. Tadic is meant to be doing his badges soon.. Maybe there's a chance to get him back now.
  18. he wouldn't have played gilmour and we'd have won
  19. well I really enjoyed Scotland Denmark !! shame Stu got blocked right at the end for a third but the second goal was an all saints affair. Che is now a national treasure up here and even Pie and Bovril and BBC Scotland Off The Ball (which IMHO is about the funniest "fitba" radio show on the planet) are raving about him.
  20. I dunno.. I moved from hampshire to scotland so it's nice to see the saints lads get a run out in blue and a nail biter against the Faroes is like watching the FA cup second round games with a can of Tennants instead of a pint of 6X. What's annoying is that my licence fee gets me england games for free but I have to pay to watch scotland.. The perils of dual nationality (one more granny than Che) and yet another grievance for the nats.
  21. Where is the international break thread ? or do the english not really care..
  22. Didn't have the edge of the wembley game. I think Scotland only play well against england who clearly are less good at keeping the ball than croatia (when they turn up) and looked totally outclassed. Never mind, been a saints fan for more than half a century so I can deal with this.
  23. Great for both but you have to feel sorry for SA as despite his record he's now "the guy called up to replace billy gilmour"
  24. in the previous WC in 1990 I was in USA and they were just getting used to football.. You had two choices on watching the games. Either Univision in spanish with two drunk blokes in headphones affectionally known to the expats as "norberto and greavsie" or TNT with the "soccer expert" Mick Luckhurst (the atlanta falcons kicker who was at least english).. We chose to watch the italy-ireland game on TNT..TNT ran commercials *during* the game and after one we came back to an embarrassed Mick saying "you might wonder why the italians are waving their flags, that's cos they just scored".. never saw the goal that day. They have got a bit better
