I get it completly , but do you not think he should have been invited to the game by the club , walk on the pitch before the game with ex fa cup winners , its a special game v Man Utd hence all the media around the game . Lawrie Mcmenemy a true legend for this club , a manager who will never have his feats repeated for this club again like he did for us . Winning the FA Cup , dont think we will see this happen in the next 10 years , signing european player of the year at his peak , never going to happen , finish second in the top flight to Liverpool, never going to happen. He deserves recognition for what he did for us they were great times that we will be hard pushed to ever get back and im only 42 and can remember the day we signed Keegan like it was yesterday, a day i couldnt forget , my dad collected me from to school and told me we had signed him i thought it was a big joke amazing times and memories that never fade . Give him the respect he deserves .

Who can ever get fed up with the Danny Wallace jokes on a snowy day , and Osgood taking the FA Cup around with him in the back of his car in the town . Im sure some newer material will be around with Keegan and Shearer in town .

Just buisness people who sit in the old Matt Le Tiss suite . I was a member for 12 years before they moved to St Mary's and trebled the price of the Dell . Nobody important just buisness's from around the area who all pay £2600 for the privelage of sitting in directors box , and having a meal before the game . I did get a full report of the meeting . Some of the things are personal to exec club , but i was told McMenemy who was an ambassador for the club with Benali were both charging the club £75000 a year + they got to bring their own guests for food and drink per game . Lots of other gossip that i cannot repeat as well .

Put him in the reserves for 45 mins , one for fitness and for confidence to knock a few into the net , never hurt big names recovering from injury for match sharpness . Totally agree with this thread , in open play he is no mans land , last season when a high ball came to him he won 99% of those high balls , he would be planted like a tree , this season he is getting knocked around all over the place , i noticed on 25 mins he was blowing very hard , the ball went out for a throw and he signalled he didnt want it to the thrower . Needs fitness and confidence booster , he is also very much now in a comfort zone , being payed around £10k a week , he was reported to be on £3k at Bristol Rovers . Come on Rickie prove all us doubters wrong and put the work in at training it will pay off

A good win agreed , but without 2 pens would we have won , Lambert looks terrible . Our overall passing and possession was 1st class. But infront of goal the keeper made 1 save in the first half nothing else to do . Barnard was great full of energy but with a lack lustre partner he was a one man show up front . Hopefully we can push on from here v Tranmere , how many games do you give Lambert with performances like that week in week out .

we offered 200k they want 500k , deal dead in the water , as Adkins wouldnt resign as he thought it was fair for Sunthorpe to have compensation , this would have riled Cortese for sure , if Adkins had desire he would just jump ship , but he hasnt so it plan b c d or even e , or unless someone like MON has said hes intrested . No disrespect , better than Papa , no , Papa was a class act for this league , and he could finish for fun and could find a killer pass . Chamberlayne is a long way off that , he is very pacy , but his distribution is still a bit wayward , and thats his first really good game v a very average league 1 side . Raw talent indeed , better than Antonio hmmmm again he has better ball control for sure , Antonio was an out and out speed merchant again that could finish , i have them two down as 50/50 but Papa is alot better at this present time . He has taken back to Italy what he learnt here and is now playing in Serie A would Chamberlayne be playing in that league , not yet maybe in a years time if he progress's. Not slagging the lad , but he is certainly not better than Papa as an all round player

Around 60 mins a shot came in that nearly knocked the Rochdales defenders head off and game was stopped , Lambert was doing the exercises to stretch the hamstrings associated with cramp and fitness . He really is out of sorts , and not fully fit , he looks quite uninterested as well . Last season he hardly got a free kick off off target , this season he has looked terrible when taking free kicks , several have ended in row Z . At the end of the day we have a lot of good players not exceptional players excluding Lalanna, when they play as a team with focus we look very good , with no guidance they look very average at best .

The big problem is with this team they now dont have anybody with any substance to look up to in the changing room . They are league 1 premadonas on poor premiership wages , once on the pitch they take it for granted they are going to win . Teams have got their number now , were a rudderless ship heading for the rocks , with a crew who think the tide will turn , but with nobody at the helm we are going to hit the rocks . If the rumours are true shame the club couldnt keep what happened in Pardews personal life seperate from the running of the club which in my eyes there is a difference . This is not going to be an easy job for any new manager to turn this around within a few weeks , were still missing two quick experienced wingers , a midfielder who doesnt dally on the ball and can make that defence splitting pass to the wingers or fowards . We also need a defensive coach , we have been terrible in defence , statues v Swindon , and today on the break we were very poor being pulled all over the place for their first goal .
