Today was going to be a completely different game than getting out of the group stages. We got lucky against the USA, played very well against Senegal, but today's game played out as I expected. I'm not disappointed, I just think we're an 'ok' team...nothing particularly exciting and no way world champions.

Very much like watching Saints, turgid defensive football. England will never with anything with Southgate. I loved watching England 70s 80s and and maybe 90s.....don't particularly care either way now.

My initial reaction to his appointment was of huge disappointment, but watching that press conference has changed my opinion somewhat. I think I'm in the 'Unsure' camp now rather than 'No'......he comes across well, likeable, focused and driven. I think the key is how the players react to him.....I hope he succeeds.
