  1. I saw that the OS said it was a 2-2 draw. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/team/?page_id=155. I was out and about so thought I'd pop in and I caught the last 20 minutes. I thought I saw 3 goals in that time. I'm either going mad or one must have been disallowed. Anyway I was very impressed with what I saw. The 11 who played wide right wing looked excellent. Stocky and powerfully build, very quick and beat his man every time. Anyone know who he is?
  2. Or is it The Pekhart-phile i.e. someone who is positively displaced towards Pekhart. As in anglo- franco- paedo, well you get my drift. Anyway, to answer the original post I think people feel we need to be able mix up the attack with clever interplay with the front 4 (DMG good at that) but also be a bit physical in the air when needed (DMG not so good). I'm not disappointed with DMG at all, I think he's well suited to the style of play we have and I agree that he had a good game, but I would like to see Pekhart tried out if we have to find another way to break teams down - like we needed with Blackpool.
  3. Do you have a link? A bit of context would help me understand what these ratings mean.
  4. I don't totally disagree. That was certainly the result of his efforts but I thought that when he came on he looked like he had something to prove and put in a good shift early on. His same old failings came back though as you listed above.
  5. Agree with all this. Our plan B today seemed to be taking on a Championship defence with long balls and taking off our two ball playing midfielders. That's what Jan got wrong today IMO.
  6. Yep, just tuned in to hear the At The Races channel say he's stable and that it's not life threatening. It happened last night and he will be kept in for a few days. Did say his son was involved in the crash too but didn't comment on his situation.
  7. No other details. Just came up on SkySports News. EDIT: Further reports have suggested that it's not as "serious" as SkySports News was reporting. Apparently Mick and his 14 year old son were involved in a car crash on Wednesday night on the M1. It was a "bad" crash and Mick has suffered a broken arm and a punctured lung but it's not a life-threatening condition. His 14 year old son was not seriously hurt. The BBC report is here http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/front_page/7585930.stm.
  8. I know what you mean but having Davies and Svensson as our centre back pairing is a problem I think I could live with.
  9. I agree. I think we've got a tough start fixture-wise this year so I'd like to see some good performances to start with. That said, I'm pretty optimistic given some of the pace and movement shown in pre-season.
  10. Death, taxes and forum subscriptions. I'm in. Happy to pay and well done to those who spent their weekend sorting it out.
