  1. Couldn't go today cos I've got bloody Swine Flu and was absolutely gutted that I wasn't able to witness such a historic day in our history. Watching that has made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck - and I'm not ashamed to say I even had a little tear! Good effort LeBoyer - quality piece
  2. If I remember correctly didn't 'Tin Man' Delgado go on record saying that he was upset because we didn't sing him happy birthday?
  3. If this is all true then tomorrow will be my best birthday ever wohoo!!!
  4. I think you've read that sentence completely out of context Phil TBF. I read it as 'if the deal is completed on Thursday as opposed to the deadline of Friday' i.e early. Either you have read it ou of context or you would appear to be trying to stir up paranoia in people? Now you've always struck me as being a very intelligent and insightful poster so I'm a bit concerned as to why you would appear to be falling into the 2nd catergory? All IMHO
  5. Massive thanks to Tony and everyone else who helped put this together - you have made alot of people very, very happy. For the first time in ages I am sat here in my Saints shirt, on a Saturday, with a smile on my face - thankyou for providing me with the oppurtunity to do that again!
  6. Well said Phil - a true gent considering your 'possible involvement' in the MJ bid :smt041:smt041 Let's all hope we can now look forward to a much brighter future!
  7. My birthday - hooray!!
  8. Many a true word spoken in jest
  9. Good job you don't live there anymore mate or some of the more 'obsessed' folk on here would probably take you up on your offer!! In fact I wouldn't be surprised if some hadn't already been round to have a look!!
  10. Which Saints forum was that TNT? Could you provide the link please? Thx
  11. Just random stuff that alluded to being involved in a takeover - just bigging himself up really. Can't remember exact wording but things like: 'Today is THE day' and when someone asked what he meant he said there's a clue in my profile pic (which is him at SMS). 'Maybe tomorrow - done everything we can' 'Frustrating day - how long does it take for a lawyer to prepare a document FFS' Might just be me putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5?
  12. I hope you're right Baj. He's had some interesting status updates on his Facebook profile recently though. Not that I'm stalking him or anything:D
  13. 2 little birds who you walked home from a BBQ last w/end if you are who I think you are;)
  14. Quondam was one he used around the time Tommac was at his comic best, although only briefly. If you have the inclination Google Nineteen Canteen and Quondam for their meanings - very similar
  15. Eyes or chick peas?
  16. You utter p#ick!!!
  17. It was Morph. Can't remember which thread though.
  18. Just thought it it worth noting that only Derby, Sheff Utd, Norwich and Wolves have an average attendance of over 23k this season. So I'd say our last 2 home attendances have been pretty good to be fair - considering where we are in the league, the carp football etc. http://itv.stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/attend.html
  19. It's actually quite serious guys. My step-dad and a good friend work on it and it's currently holding 40 tonnes of **** that it's leaking into the Itchen! Ironically though it does make a pick up from close to SMS!!! MW been spotted around there lately??
  20. I would just like to 2nd this. Duncan was of great help to me in tracing alot of info about one of my family members who was involved in the club in the early 1900's. He spent a considerable amount of his personal time in assissting me and even visited my house. Some of his comments inflammatory - yes Does he have an agenda -yes Is he an intelligent well-informed guy -yes Does he absolutely love Southampton Football Club - Definately (which is a damn slight more than you could say about Lowe!!) For that reason alone I for one hope he continues to give us his little snippets of inside info. Definately more interesting to read than some of the other infantile comments/debates posted on here lately. Does he absolutely love Southampton Football Club
  21. Most of my thoughts have already been covered in this thread, but in summary: Saga - great, for obvious reasons but also his work rate and closing down were superb. Euell - again work rate was fantastic, perfect foil for Saga today. Also took a real battering from their CBs. McGoldrick - Best I have seen him play -ever!! Nice touches, good link-up play and good work rate - chased everything and stuck his foot in. Gillet - Best I've seen him play too - was everywhere, chasing everything, and some crunching tackles. Wotte - Tactics spot on, risky and brave, but spot on. Only slight critisicsm is that I think he shoud have taken Lallana off 10 mins before he did. The lad was fookin knackered after chasing enerything all day. He was playing right in front of me and I thought he left us exposed a few times in the last 15 mins as PNE applied a bit more pressure. Not having a dig at him cos I thought he had a good game - just that he was clearly exhausted and couldn't get up and down as quick as was earlier in the game. The thing that impressed me most was that the whole team looked like actually gave a fook - playing for each other, closing and chasing down everything, not letting PNE settle on the ball for a second in any position on the pitch, crunching tackles, and some fantastic flowing football to boot!! Very, very happy tonight. COYS!!!

What Saga issue? I've obviously missed something here but I don't know what you're referring to? Could someone summarise please?
