All that chat about Yoshida's 'handball' which only Mourinho and Scholes though was a penalty and very little mention of that elbow on Tadic on the goal line which was a definite pen and sending off offence. Likely that Young will be suspended for that which is no consolation to us.

Dreadfully dull football. Too slow. Barely created a chance. Style of football hopelessly out of date. Didn't press forward at all whereas Sweden did and should have won. Wondered how we managed to perform so badly with a decent team; then realised the coach was Adrian Boothroyd. How do failures like him get national jobs like that.

I've sent several emails confirming that my subscription was renewed by SO on 14th November but I can't PM and I'm recorded as a Registered Member and not a full one. I've used the 'Contact' button to communicate a couple of times at least. I have not had any reply at all and the subscription renewal notice keeps coming up when I open the site. Is anyone responsible for replying and dealing with this? I thought Steve Grant usually dealt with this but I emailed him once or twice in November but didn't get a reply.

The boy done well replied to Baldbarbarian's topic in Saints Away Supporters
As mentioned on the main Palace thread I've 3 concessions for the game. £26 plus £20x2 plus admin fees of £2.50 each. PM me or supply email address if interested -
Wife's fractured her upper arm so I won't be able to go. Got 3 concessions available at cost ie £26+£20+£20 and admin fees of £7.50 (Total £73.50). Must be Saints fans. PM or supply email address if interested. First to take all 3 can have them

Nearer 100k p/w I heard. No wonder no-one's signed him with QPR wanting £15m or so as well. But something has to give and I'd guess it'll have to be QPR if he goes in January as his contract's up next summer.

Got 4 concessions available (2 over 65's and 2 under 16's) at cost or near offer. £25x2 and £1x2 plus club's admin fee of £2 per ticket. PM me if interested or supply email address or mobile no. Prefer to offload all together. Must be Saints fans. Decided to go on holiday instead!

Yes, I heard it and I agree. His answers were pretty clear and direct when you listened to him and not full of the usual management "have a nice day" speak.

Is Katarina Tarnishing Markus' Legacy?
The boy done well replied to Pastor Patrón's topic in The Saints
It would be reasonable to assume that Hans Hofstetter is advising Katharina. He's a lawyer and is bound to advise against risk (otherwise his indemniity policy would be assuming it). There aren't many riskier investments than a football club particularly one in a "difficult" financial position as he said earlier in the year with an outstanding liability of £27m. So, as a lawyer, he's going to advise her to create a sufficient financial reserve to cushion the risk or to get out of it. Getting rid of a team in the Premier League at, say, £50m with no debts, a stadium and category 1 Academy, is going to be considerably easier than finding a buyer for £150m. Ask Randy Lerner. You just pocket £100m from the sales to make up the difference. Could this be the scenario. A cushion or to aid a sale. -
The 2014/2015 'New Forest Derby' Thread
The boy done well replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
A friend lent me his season ticket last night so I went with another season ticket holder. Sat in their noisy stand so had to keep my head down with the barrage of anti-scummer songs and chants! They were very good. Swarmed over Reading giving them little time to think, passed it around quickly, used the width of the pitch well and were quick on the break. Their style reminded me of the way we played when promoted from the Championship. When we played them in League 1 it was very much men against boys. They are a physically much stronger team now. They're on a good run at the moment and I may have seen them at their best. But on that showing if they don't make the play-offs this season they're going to be up there next year. God knows how they would cope with actually going up though. -
Due to a family commitment we cannot now do the Chelsea game. I therefore have 4 tickets available in the Lower Tier-1 adult and 3 concessions which are Under 18's and/or over 65's. Only want face value of course which is a total of £121.50 being £47 for the adult ticket and £23.50 for each concession plus the club's £1 per ticket admin fee. I can't PM at the moment so if interested please email me at rmatt48@gmail.com Tickets now taken

Watched it too and agree. That must be Pearce's system. Full backs lie deep and aren't encouraged to get forward presumably for the purpose of keeping the defence intact. Rose got forward once or twice but down the middle-not wide. Whenever Clyne got the ball (and most of the others for that matter) the options around were so few. There was never anyone nearby for the simple pass. Dinosaur football. Very poor to watch. Bernstein rates Pearce. Thinking about it he's a dinosaur too.

Not too well it seems. Bottom of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division having recently lost at home to that top club Curzon-Ashton 6-1 in front of a mind boggling crowd of around 60. Goal difference of -63 with 5 points and no wins. What is Rupert doing!?

As posted above, I had the same problem yesterday. In the end I went to the ticket office this morning and bought mine. I pointed out that I had tried online yesterday but it said my seats were locked. There was a look of despair accompanied by a shrug of the shoulders so it's obviously not an uncommon occurrence. It's a load of hassle having to do a 40 odd mile trip there and back through Southampton just to buy tickets because their system is c**p. Excluding the ability to buy over the telephone as an alternative is a nonsense and if you ring the ticket office for help you often can't get through at all. You just get the message saying they're all busy so please ring back later. I emailed the ticket office to explain the problem encountered as I did whenI encountered the same problem trying to get Arsenal away tickets but I got no reply then and don't expect to get one now. All I'm trying to do is buy tickets. Surely they want to sell them. Oh, and by the way, the ticket office wasn't busy this morning and I suspect that there were still quite a few tickets left.
-
Why do I get a message when trying to buy tickets online telling me there's an error and my seats are locked. Tried on several occasions this evening. Got the qualifying number of away games and also a season tickets holder. Those for whom I want to buy similarly qualify and I know 4 is the maximum. Sold out or a problem with the site again?

Went to watch Bournemouth with a Brighton fan tonight. Ignoring the fact that I'm very glad we're out of League 1 (and that Barnard was pretty poor), he said that Deano had been a disappointment at Brighton. He was a big fan of his during his original time there but now thinks that he's little more than very average Championship, if that. I guess this is how he was for us last season. Nice Guy but struggling to make much of an an impression in the Championship and nowhere near Prem quality.

What an appalling system. Got in at 9.15. Got the error message saying seats locked. Rang ticket office who said I just had to keep trying which I did for the next 20mins still getting the same message. Rang ticket office again and after hanging on to get through was told they'd just sold out online. Trouble is the club couldn't care a toss but for me and my group it means that, having been unable to go to Man City, we now have no away points at all so probably stand little chance of getting tickets for any away games. Tough when you've spent the last two or three years regularly travelling to places like Stockport, Walsall, Coventry Dagenham & Redbridge and the like.

If you go to William Hill's site we're 1/100 for promotion and Wham are 6/4. Reading are 1/7 to be champions and we're 4/1.

Booked on phone with SW Trains late on on Monday afternoon from Parkway. Tickets came this morning which is pretty good. Tried Groupsave 4 which came out at around £80 for the 4 of us with a travelcard. As 2 of the 4 are kids, it was much cheaper to use our railcards coming out at £66.30. The adult tickets are £25.75 each so it would have been cheaper to do Groupsave with 4 adults. With SW Trains incidentally, I'm not convinced that booking online makes any difference. It may do with Cross Country Rail where I seem to remember that you have to book specific trains if you do it online. I'm not sure what happens if you get on an earlier or later train.

Because you'll likely get flattened! For goodness sake whoever you are change your user name. There's no place for this in today's world.

I was at the Arse game yesterday with an old school-mate who's a mad keen Gooner. Walcott did, I think, make the first goal but as I'm no Arsenal fan I paid particular attention to Theo on and off the ball. As many have often said he does have a tendency to make the wrong decision or be in the wrong position. He is very fast but you'd expect to see him getting to the by-line more often with that pace rather than cutting inside into no man's land/brick walls as he so often seems to do. I told my Arse supporting mate that we tended to regard him more as striker than a winger. His comment after yesterday was that I must have been joking as his finishing was woeful-MLT was quite right. It's as though he's lost his composure on the ball when under pressure to score. Maybe it's a lack of confidence but whatever it is at the moment he's nothing more than just another premiership player.

Well, Neil Perrett Bournemouth Echo's Sports Journalist says in his published open letter to Eddie Mitchell that "after making a fool of yourself in public, you did similar in the privacy of the dressing room" so there appears to be some substance at least to what you've been told.

I'm a season ticket holder. I didn't go because: 1 The gap between the 2 Saints games was too great. I'm past enjoying funfairs and my children are too old now to be attracted by one too. 2 I have to drive to games so while I might normally enjoy a pint on the way back making one last for two and a quarter hours would have been stretching it a bit! 3 I wasn't greatly interested in the Bremen v Bilbao game. I would have preferred it had we played one of them only with a 3pm KO 4 NA said beforehand that he'd be playing the 2 teams so implying that it would be regarded as another training/fitness exercise. I thought it might be a rather long training exercise to sit through! I have no problem with any of the above or with the concept. Markus and Nicola have been great for the club. It was, I think, more of a suitable day out for the family-particularly those with young children. It just wasn't for me. I guess there were others in much the same boat who would have felt much the same. The matter of respect for Markus doesn't arise. We've all felt that very strongly since day 1 and I have no doubt that the club know it.

Who's the other Dubov then that's allegedly wanted by the Russian authorities and who everyone's apparently confusing him with?
