  1. This is such a load of s***. He is not lazy in the slightest and his build up play is excellent. I'm not sure how many games you go and see but I suggest you actually watch him during the next gae, rather than listen to the other morons on this site.
  2. I'd be quite happy with that. I think Patterson is going to be great player. I don't agree that we need to buy big lumps in order to win as testified by MK Dons and Peterborough this year and Swansea last.
  3. Can't argue with any of that. McGoldrick was outstanding last night as was Ryan Smith and although Euell missed a sitter his link up play was excellent. Thought the stewards were good too, just letting us get on with standing up and singing. Also had an excellent curry afterwards. Good night all round.
  4. Not for me. I saw alot of Watford and Saracens at Vicarage Rd last year and to be honest it was difficult to tell the difference between the 2. Awful.
  5. It's a good idea. My brother is the drummer in Delays and would certainly be up for it. They could only do a guildhall size venue, nothing bigger but everything helps.
  6. Many thanks David. It's so refreshing to have such open communication, it has such a positive impact on all concerned.
  7. What a nice bunch of fans they are. I don't know what it is about that part of the country but everytime I have met Ipswich/Naaarch fans, they have been great to talk to before/after the game.
  8. We have not had 18,000 singing their hearts out at any gane. There is maybe 3000 in the Northam. The rest of the ground is silent and very negative which is probably what he means.
  9. ---------Davis----------- James----------Size--------------Perry--------------Skacel ---------------Euell-------------Scheiderlin----------Surman Lallana >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ---------------McGoldrick--------Saganowski------------- Lallana the key man, drifting into behind the front 2 with the 3 in midfield shifting across when we have the ball. and a rigis 4-4-2 without.
  10. Best of luck Jan. It could have worked so well, especially if you had been able to keep one of our proven goalscorers. Well done for sticking to your belief in the way football should be played. It didn't work in the end but there will be some great memories from your reign; the turnaround at Preston and Reading away - the best I have ever seen Saints play away from home.
  11. I think that's really harsh. He's not to bad in the air, he can certainly see a pass - his build up play is excellent. Also, to get the stick he gets in his FIRST season and still perform as well as he did against Reading at home shows alot more about his attitude that putting his hands on his hips.
  12. Good question
  13. Slightly harsh. I hope he gets on well down there, he deserves it after (literally) running himself into ground at the end of last season. I liked his fight with Euell (I think) on the final day, it showed how much both cared.
  14. Crystal Palace + that ref = impossible task. Really pleased that we didn't give up. People do need to realise how difficult it is to break down a defence that sits back at 2-0. It's a steep learning curve but we will and are learning. Felt sorry for Lloyd James who had his best game tonight. Oh well, a much more winable game on Saturday.
  15. Scheiderlin - in place of Delap Cork - for Oakley McGoldrick - light years better than Ormerod Lallana - for Svensson Surman - for Marsden All of the above would walk into Strachan's team. The Premiership has moved on massively since then.
  16. It's insane. At the Reading game he had a stormer, some of his touches/build up were class but nobody said anything.Someone on here even gave him 3 out of 10! He is CLEARLY good enough, sheep at their most sheepish.
  17. Did anyone hear the rumour that Saints players; Ruddock, Le Tissier and Wallace all had McDonalds as their pre-game meal? I hope it's true!
  18. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¬!
  19. 2-2 Get in there Drew!!! What is going on, apparently BWP is having a stormer.
  20. They are 2-0 up!
  21. Portsmouth YA 2-3 Coventry Yth !!!!! Celebration time!
  22. Here here! These are the same people who were saying Kenwyne Jones is the worst player to pull on a Saints shirt. Strikers do miss chances from time to time, it is worrying when they don't get opportunities.
  23. How? Do you remember Burley's first games in charge. He had to look our massive Redknapp built squad and see who needed to stay or go.
  24. +1 - Are you on the 09:34 from Kings Cross?
  25. I really wished I had read the original post properly!!!:
