  1. Sad news if true, on the way to the stadium there was a very large police presence and quite a bit of trouble that I noticed.
  2. Gillet was not as good as normal in my opinion But Saeijs was immense, easily the best centre-back performance since Lucketti vs Bristol City last season.
  3. because he is supposed to be playing right back and right midfield at the same time and has been all season
  4. i think in the midfield Gillett has got to be the first name on the teamsheet. why? because he's a ballwinner and you can't score goals if you don't have the ball. schneiderlin is a superb passer of the ball but he needs someone like gillett alongside him. i don't get the gillett is lightweight argument at all, just because he's a midget it doesn't mean he's not tough. if you try and watch the game more analytically you will see that gillett actually wins a lot of headers and is always first to the loose ball which helps us defend and helps us start an attack. if he could pass the ball he'd be the best midfielder in the league. at the start of the season i thought the morgan-gillet partnership worked very well. also i thought lallana showed signs on staurday that he will be back to his best soon.
  5. cardiff have only lost 4 all season (2 away) so will be a tough one. they have drawn 9 away though so i would go with a 1-1 D ipswich will beat us 2-0 L birmingham are in poor form and struggling for goals, will be thinking we are pushovers. 1-0 W derby are in good form but they shouldn't get carried away, we are more than capable of beating them. 2-1 W QPR are quite poor away from home (like preston) and struggle for goals (only scored 12) but also don't concede many (17). 1-0 W

    Jon Parkin

its like chris moyles playing football
  7. credit where it is due - wotte got rid of the scarf.
  8. Gunter takes the ball, across to Dailly, over to Harte at left back, down the line to Dennebeboom, Kallon, Denneboom, Pulis..!!! Oh and Pulis is in... he scores!!! He came out of nowhere! They must have been practising that move on the training ground!
  9. all season has been a chance to 'scrap together some form'. we have yet to succeed.
  10. nigel pearson oh i see lowe got rid of him, hence start of lowe bashing so it's lowe's fault we don't talk about football on here
  11. keeper shouldn't be captain, how can they communicate with al the players. i would have picked euell as captain
  12. seeing as wotte is the manager, it should be his decision as to whether transfer bids are accepted. so why is he thanking the board? their job is not to deal with transfers as far as i am aware?????
  13. jan because wotte is basically lowe's buddy saying what lowe wants him to say at least with jan he was his own man and if he did truly resign then you would think it was because of our **** of a chairman lowe interfering
  14. don't really see what you're getting at here. our defence hasnt been great all season and perry and saeijs know how to defend themselves without killer. anyway he's only been coach for a week so i think if he is supposed to be working specifically on defending then we must give him longer
  15. well i think he could 'do a job for us'
  16. chris gunter at right back
  17. thats taking jokes to a new lowe
  18. I don't give a **** what he says about club politics and fans if he keeps us up. Let's concentrate on what happens on the pitch
  19. I find it hard to take anything you say seriously with your username.
  20. I know Gillett seems to divide opinion on here but even if his passing is not great he's a ball winner and he made a ridiculous amount of interceptions and good tackles today and I disagree when people call him lightweight because he may be short but he still wins his fair share in the air. As others have picked up Saeijs, Wotton and Saga were also excellent today, while James (get a natural right back FFS we have gone over half a season without one and we are supposed to be a football club), Molyneux (I liked Mills earlier in the season so get him back in the team) and Lallana were poor. Saga's second goal was a fantastic finish, what would McG have done in that situation? It just shows what we have been missing all season. If we stay up then surely Saga will be a legend.
  21. keith gillespie has just been released by sheff utd. could defintitely DAJFU
  22. Is that sarcasm?
  23. good luck to rudi in the future, treated like ****, just a toy of the club and who can blame him for leaving when he knows that the management of the club is completely wrong. i agree he can come over as uncommitted but in truth this is not because he doesn't care, just that he is too fat to run properly. even if left back wasn't his best position he did a job there and with the right guidance (e.g under someone like Pearson) I'm sure he could have been our best player this season, especially if he got himself fit which i don't think he ever was.
  24. For those who havent seen Jake's goal from saturday, it was basically a bad cross which lobbed the keeper. So it was a fluke really.
