  1. What 'link'?
  2. I wouldn't be surprised to see Martin O'neil be offered it anyway if he keeps Sunderland on their good run. If Redknapp is offered it, any scandal will be quietly filed away in a folder marked 'To be published the day he's sacked/quits'. Unless of course we actually win something under him....
  3. It certainly was. Last time we were in the black was 2004/05 with a profit of £3.503m. The previous year, 2003/04 we made a profit of £3.356m....
  4. No it's not because it's wrong for one simple reason. The so called 'three musketeers' weren't the three who did the damage. It was the lone musketeer and his old man who came in after them that got us into trouble. Mandaric took us from Championship to the Premiership. I wish he'd spent the money on a new ground instead as they don't get knocked down when the baliff's come calling, hmmm? Either way, we were paying our way and surviving, only just, but we were surviving. Storrie gets absolutely slated by everyone for just being there. Like he had a cheque book and threw it and Redknapp! I don't think so. Storrie admitted that he warned Gaydamak on several occasions that the money for x,y,z player wasn't there, but Gaydamak overruled him every time and said it was ok. Storrie then did everything he could to keep the club going when the fire sale started. If Gaydamak chooses to take the money out as it seems clear that he did, Storrie is supposed to do what- walk out and let Gaydamak bring someone else in to shut it down once the last player is sold off? Redknapp gets slated for asking for more money to improve the team. ALL managers do that. You all know that. If Gaydamak says yes, how can Redknapp be blamed? It's his job to improve the team. So he negotiates a commission on player sales. **** it, if he's turned a 1m player into a 5m player I'm more than happy to pay him a commission. The blame for where Pompey are now lies with Gaydamak, and latterly Chainrai in believing he's going to get all his money back. He won't, but he knows he'll get more back by selling the club at a lower price that someone is prepared to pay, than getting a pittance for FP if it all goes tits up on the 20th....
  5. Noooooooooo!!! But they were nailed on guilty weren't they? EVERYONE knows they're guilty. Oh, er, except the 12 men and women on the jury that is! Well guess what, they were NOT guilty. Oh dear me, I haven't had many laughs in the last few weeks, but after reading dozens and dozens of gleeful hate posts on here about how 'Arry and Mandy shouldn't bend over for a dropped bar of soap, fnar fnar, the above quote is a genuine PMSL moment :lol: Like I've said all along, relax, we're going to be just fine
  6. Precisely. This entire thread is just about the finest example you'll ever see of utter hipocracy. All fuelled by vicious hatred and jealousy...
  7. Holger Heims. Check.....
  8. Ok, so that leaves three bidders left then...
  9. Dear oh dear, is that the best you can come up with?
  10. No thanks, we know how to use Google. My info comes from elsewhere. Might be right, might be wrong...
  11. Hmmm, interesting. That's basically what I was told on Saturday. Two groups in negotiation, Cala being disregarded as a serious buyer....
  12. Well, let's work it out shall we? If I comment on one potential buyer in the morning and then later in the day say I've heard that they might not in the box seat any longer, it might not take the massive logic of Steven hawking, albert Einstein and Freud to deduce that I'd heard something between first and second post, hmmm? For the record, it's probably a ****** rumor anyway, but it did come from someone who has been right on the money before, so who knows?
  13. Brian Howe is wealthy but not to the extent that he can buy and sort pfc's problems on his own. His best friend however is vince wolanin, who runs several aviation, media production and property development companies. Vince is the man with the money. They were blind sided by mandaric in 1999, but have renewed negotiations again this time around. Brian was lead singer/songwriter for the reformed bad company band that were very big in the states....
  14. Don't give up so easily. We'll be ok..
  15. 936 pages, 46k posts, over a quarter of a million views....about another club Hmmm, here's another story about a small club being shafted. A certain Theo Walcott was stolen from Swindon Town for a pitiful two grand by you lot. You utter, utter hypocrites the lot of you........ Yes, you'd like that wouldn't you? Forget it, it aint gonna happen. We'll be just fine... Well, you'll turn up when things are going well, but organise a 'Save Our Saints' game in your darkest hour of need and you struggle to sell a pathetic 1500 tickets before the game is embarrassingly cancelled....
  16. Merry Christmas scummers
  17. Beans on toast. Luvverly.....
  18. I disagee entirely. I think it's extremely brave of you all to be so open about that side of your sexuality. Lets face it, sadly football is one of the last bastions of homophobia and xenophobia in all their pretty nasty forms. So for you to all acknowledge your own feelings and roll out the welcome mat to other people of similar leanings was great, really forward thinking. Now that you've well and truly nailed your colours to the rainbow mast, you need to keep singing the song to build some momentum and get the word around. Not my cup of tea, but fair play to you all. Keep singing, and well done!
  19. Oh yes. Most definitely. You'll never be free of us, never! Cue Vincent Price type flavour laughter........
  20. Mmmmm, mulled wine. Nearly as good as Gluhwein mit rhum. Das is good ja? Heard that several times in Cologne's Christmas markets the other week. Doesn't quite sound the same when it's not heard in the context of a line from an dodgy 1980's German porn film though. Anyway, carry on....
  21. How shallow? Superficial IS your middle name. Dear oh dear........
  22. The parachute money is ringfenced to make sure the CVA is paid off....
  23. CSI itself: 14th September 2010. All the others in the group go back to 2000 at least and varying dates in between. Why?
  24. Ok, two points- Firstly, don't try playing the 'you were lucky to win it' card. No-one who goes away to Man U and wins is 'lucky'. Secondly, yeah we're severly ****ed off and embarrassed at the way the club has been run and passed from one, at best, hard-nosed businessman to another. We all used to agee that in the back of our minds we were nervous about relying on Gaydamak. We knew damn well it was risky to spend big money on the team rather than something more permanent like a decent new stadium. The fatalistic conclusion we used to always come to: 'Enjoy it and hope it doesn't all come crashing down around us', and **** it, we did enjoy it. So yeah, we were embarrassed when it went tits up, charities didn't get paid etc etc, sure we were embarrassed. But now? We're absolutely sick and tired of your miserable bleating and whining about how life isn't fair, that we 'cheated', that we're all so thick- plus a new one today- we're now apparently 'vermin' too. I can see why many many Pompey fans just dont care what other people think of us anymore. Play up Pompey......
