  1. Just phoned them The guy said no problem and cancelled our sports subscription. Now i'm going to have to phone them up and ask for it to be put back on to watch the ashes.:mad:
  2. No the clubs name should not be changed, and i very much doubt that is on the agenda. As for the badge, its not just a badge. Its the symbol of southampton football club, its what should bring fans, players, the club together in a common cause. Personally i'm against any football club destroying its history by changing the club badge. And as for people that remove the Football Club from the badge, well i hold them in utter contempt.
  3. block 41 for me
  4. If i buy an adult and kid, can i pay extra to up the kid to an adult when the little one does not want to come, that way i can drag a mate along.
  5. from what i remember working a 4on/4off you'd only need to use about 12 days of holiday a year to get every saturday off.
  6. @Stanley I know a bloke who works 4on/4off, huge chelsea fan. He's not missed a single chelsea match in about 20 years. So no, your working pattern is not a good enough excuse, i'm sure you'd get around the issue if we were a premier league team.
  7. Hands Snap Off their
  8. Boothroyd, Boothroyd, Boothroyd :smt117
  9. Is it just me that gets really irratated by the phrase "wake up and smell the coffee". It seems to only be used by complete morons in society.
  10. Front Man - Andy Bishop
  11. whoever is manager, if by the end of the season we are not in or within a few of points of the play offs then its a failure. one thing the club will need is people through the door though, higher gates should help us on the way back up.
  12. why cant we get promoted this season coming???? if any of the top 3 had started on -10 they'd still have made the play off i think a realistic target should be a play off birth anything less is failure
  13. on league 1 wages id sign them all up
  14. when the first set of accounts are filed you will be able to see the numbers.
  15. Never rated DMG, never will. Has the odd nice skill but that does not make up for the conrete boots, the inability to pass to one of his own consistently, and his complete lack of judgement on reading the flight of a ball. how many times when playing upfront as the target man, did he jump under the ball. Can;t fault his effort those last few months though.
  16. Buying the ground for anything other than a sports team would be pointless, there is more than just southampton Football Club in the Stadium. They would not be able to demolish the ground as it's got lease agreements in place with 3rd parties.

Yeah right pull the other one. Fry has found a box under the stairs full of old shirts, splash some names on the back and claim they are worn squad shirts.
  19. well its their club, they own it, so they will want to do what's best for it. Saints fans don;t want to throw southampton football club £20 because they don;t feel they'll get a return from it. FC Fans get a return everytime the players take to the pitch.
  20. huge difference between ebsfleet and FC, FC are a true fan owned football club, running for 4 years, achieving 3 promotions, and a few cup wins. Ebsfleet are a club stolen from its fans by a **** of person and his internet geeks
  21. last season sold just over 1000 season tickets i believe. 21 home games at POTG = £157.50 to get the £125k they've targeted they need 1339 tickets to get sold at £90 £90 = £4.30 a match Personally i think they'll smash that 125k target and last seasons season ticket sales.
  22. i personally think they will see an increase on last years average of £140 a ticket. If you go on the FC forum people are all ready indicating they will pay the average or more. some come up with the idea that buy a ticket at £90 then donate £50 saves the club £14 in VAT.
  23. A quite brilliant example of what fans can do. http://www.fc-utd.co.uk/story.php?story_id=2249
  24. You know the saddest thing about this thread, is the title will read "first signing in the conference" in a couple of weeks.

And to think some people believe fan ownership is a bad idea.
