Correct if she undertook no business work in March.

https://www.pkf-francisclark.co.uk/blog/coronavirus-job-retention-scheme-headlines-and-details-that-we-have-so-far/ Here is another recent article. The problem for directors is that they must be completely non-active to qualify for the grant. That includes no administration work, no business related telephone calls, emails etc.

I've paid too by direct debit back in September. Can you update please.

Coldest you've ever been at a Saints game

Bradford away in 1976. That was a cold day out. Lots of memories some good some less good. Remember the steward giving us the V sign , and then hit with a Party 7 can when he turned his back on us. -

And will it help with future Manager and Player recruitment. -
Hammond said that he wanted to look after the working classes. So if he is going to raise the NIC rate for the working classes who are self employed, will he also give them sick pay, holiday pay and top up their pension contributions. Just asking as he wants the self employed to be on the same footing as the employed. By the way did anyone notice if the millionaire taxpayers will have an increase in their tax rates to finance the increase in public spending, Brexit etc.

Because changes in shareholdings for a Private Company only need to be notified through the Confirmation Statement (which superseded the Annual Return) which is filed once a year. The Confirmation Statement discloses shareholders and officers of the company. The next Confirmation Statement for Southampton Football Club Limited is due for filing by 5 October 2017. The Confirmation Statement for the Holding Company, St Marys Football Group Limited is due for filing in July 2017. Therefore unless the Club make a formal statement first, we will not find out if shares have been purchased until these Confirmation Statements have been filed. Alternatively the 2016 Financial Statements may make reference to any changes in shareholdings by way of a note to the accounts.

As its a Private company, may not find out until the Confirmation Statement has been filed. In the meantime the 2016 accounts are due to be filed by the end of the month for the Group (St Mary's Football Group Limited) and its subsidiaries which include its main trading company Southampton Football Club Limited. The 2015 accounts were filed in October 2015 by the way.

Fingers crossed that Romeu doesn't get injured as I don't see that Les Read has lined up an adequate replacement in reserve.

Steve Basham scored his only goal at Blackburn back in 1998. I remember as I was there. It was the last game that Woy Hodgson was in charge for Blackburn. Happy Days.

Jose Fonte has recently bought a house in Winchester, which won't have come cheap, so I would be surprised if he moves on at the end of this season.

Firstly to attract some quality additions to our squad for next season and create a great team spirit. Next to sign up RK and his backup team for the next 5 years. Finally maintain a Top 7 position. Not too much to ask for!!

LM certainly set up a great side for Chris Nicholl. Not only that but he made us a household name. I lived in Scotland in the late 70's and early 80's and some of my Scottish friends took a greater interest in our club, particularly after we signed Keegan. As for his greatest mistake, I recall seeing at Millwall ground some grafitti saying what were 2 things that should never have left Southampton. The first was the Titanic the second LM. OK LM made numerous mistakes as a manager but on the whole they were interesting times and I don't recall losing to Pompey during his time in charge.

Harding going to be busy then. Do you want Hammond in midfield in the 451/433 formation? To be honest I'm concerned as to whether Hammond is contributing that much at the moment. There again I never appreciated Matthew Oakley until he was gone. So as far as I'm concerned Chaplow starts and if Adkins can motivate Schneiderlin they would start in midfield, with Chaplow as Captain.
-
Myself I don't think any of the full backs have performed consistently this season. I'd go for Richardson and Harding as fullbacks but only just. As for Guly he has failed to shine since his signing, and as Barnard is the more natural goalscorer he would get my vote. I'm worried about the way that Peterborough have been revilatised under Ferguson jnr and their philisophy to score more than the opposition could be the blue print to get out of this league.
-
Its been a strange month result wise. We've stayed in the play off zone in spite of some poor results and displays, partly due to similar performances by those around us. The result today was welcome but the reaction has not been uniformally optimistic. I'm sure that on the message boards of our promotion rivals similar comments are being expressed. So, on the basis that promotion is in our own hands, who would you like to see play week in week out to get out of this league. If we keep performing consistently, well you can't ask for more. The problem areas I see are who are our best full backs, who should play in central midfield and who should play upront with RL. Ok I accept players like Jaidi can't play every game and we will get injuries etc, but lets assume this won't happen.
-
And we don't need to give away 2 goal leads against Peterborough on 2 occasions either. We do need to be harder in all senses of the word. Just not consistent enough and I'm sure Ferguson wouldn't put up with that, nor would lesser managers. Going back to my original post, several managers in our league say we have the best squad in the league but the crucial question is why are we so inconsistent and not leaders in our league. Any suggestions?
-
But the point I'm trying to make is to play players in their best position. So bring on a central midfieder Gobern for Chaplow and replace NGuessan with Adam. What is our best 11, what do others say? Surely its criminal to play just 1 up front when you are at home and the opposition is down to 10 men. We need to set a standard simply that and I'm not sure that we are doing this at the moment. Going back to the Tranmere game we need to beat teams like that if we have serious intentions of geting out of this league.
-
Probably going to get some flak for this. After yesterdays game I'm not sure if we have the right mindset to get promoted. I'm not sure why but one thing we need to sort out are the players who can put in 100% effort week in and out. There are other teams around us with far less resoources who perform week in week out We apparently have the best squad in the League but lack consistency. Great to see Adam back back but his best position is out wide. Carlisle go down to 10 men so we take off Lambert in the 2nd half and we play 1 up. We play Tranmere a couple of weeks ago. After the home game against Tranmere their manager admits their team couldn't cope with us so we lose at their place. Sorry Nigel but stop tinkering with the side unless you have injuries. OK we have no divine right to win matches but lets be more professional in our approach so we have a chance to get automatic promotion. Rant over

I agree. Shortly before the end of the first half Notts County had one of their full backs booked for a foul on Oxo and those around me agreed that would pressure on their defence. However with Chaplow going off at half time we seemed to change tactics and started to hoof it up the middle rather than continue to play it out to our wide men. Fine enough if we have target men on the top of their game, or front men with pace, but by then Ince had started to pack out his defence. Simply a case of not enough nous to break down their system. Hopefully its just a blip, and with Llanana out for a few weeks, NA will readjust either with a change of tactics or a signing or two.

David Speedie and Kerry Dixon. Never wanted to play for us from the start.

The simple facts are that Pardew has been sacked. It is not the biggest surprise, just the timing that has annoyed most of us. Don't expect Cortese to explain the reason behind the decision, he just won't. I'll reserve judgement until the next manager is appointed. I recall that someone on this site said that Cortese is not concerned about season ticket holders, so assume that he prefers the extra income from other sources. Well if he appoints the wrong manager he maybe in for a reality check. There is a recession going on, corporate hospitality seems down etc etc. In spite of this I'll put on my rose tinted glasses, and hope he sticks t the 5 year plan.
