There 2 types of asbestos still around .....friable and non-friable. The friable (loose fibers and the most dangerous)is found in pipe insulation, non-friable is found in solid pipes, flooring tiles and solid sheets.....both can only be removed and disposed of by licensed contractors and require a government permit for removal.
