Anyone got a link to the Lawro interview - heard so much about it but not seen it!!

Was this game actually done on a "number of away games been to" or was this just a simple ballot? I know for one the other big away games it was done on a number of away games - and they explicitly said that it is averaged out for the number of aways in the party. However I didnt see any of this talk on the SFC website for Brentford - they just said it was a ballot? Which I assume means all names in a Hat.... I guess reading some of the posts on here it was just a ballot in the end.

Also interesting that we sold part of the Stadium Car park for £250k after the year end. Anyone know anything of this? -

Another interesting point. The club's ultimate ownership remains in probate at the time of signing the accounts - i.e. the Will (if there was a Will) that ML left has not been settled and actioned upon. No idea how long this would normally take but if there are no disputes you would have though ownership would pass on quite quickly. Interesting if there are any Swiss Probate Lawyers on this Forum?! -

Most interesting part of the Group accounts is the Aquistion note. This is where a buying Company must set out what assets it bought, how much those assets were worth at "fair value," how much it actually paid for those assets. In Summary The stadium was valued at £13m, half of the value in the previous accounts. The Investment property was valued at £1m, I presume this is that Farm, if saints still owned it when the club was taken over. The loan notes (I think this must be mostly the Norwich union stadium debt) we re-valued down from £35m to £13m. This means NU must have accepted £13m max and lost the difference. The overdraft at the time would also have been settled for a fraction too as that is included in £13m. The total cash that was paid for the club's net assets (ui.e. ignoring the debt that was paid off) was just £6 - which I thought was funny!! -
Never been so ****ed off after winning 5-1

I thought the 30 seconds or so of applause from the crowd when it was mentioned by the half time announcer showed the club made a mistake on this one, and perhaps pardew recognisedd that as well.

bloody golf!! My Sky plus bust and I want to see the goals!!

I got up an hour early as I set my phone forward last night. It then automatically updated itself over night!!

Fair point. This will not take out excessive money in the game. It will just mean that the clubs are no longer accountable for when it all falls apart and the owner decides to something else with his saturdays. A cap on clubs spending is needed not a cap on investmnet by owners. As always, its the smaller clubs with wealthy owners who would be hit hardest. The rich will already be rich, and the poor will have no chance of ever competing.

Paul Ince's Quote is made me laugh. Paul Ince: "The stats will show they had four shots to our nine" Scroll down to stats section of the page: Total shots - MK Dons 10, Saints 10

Could be worse - think of carlisle fans

And how can a booking fee be justified when there is no option but to incur a booking fee as sales at the ticket office are not permitted. They may have just increased the price.

I've no intention of going by coach. I was going through some paperwork the other day and found my Saints Charter that the club issued just before christmas. I remember reading that they promise that club travel will be made available on a not for profit basis. Someone's ripping someone off here but not sure who it is!!

Surely there should have been a presentation last night as we are the WINNERS of the JPT Southern section!!

If within 5-6 games to go we are within a shout of play offs I'll be happy. By that point there are normally 4 or 5 sides going for a couple of remaining play off spots. That means we need to be about 8th (at least) by April 10th when we play Charlton at home and with 6 games to go. Looking a the league table we are 5 points from 8th and given current form (of the last 3 months) we should make that up or we would have had a bad January/february/ march. So yes anyhing less than being very very close to play offs by the end of the season will be dissapointing.

What should we do in January if within striking distance of a playoff place?

That goldon rule will see us fall into the same spiral of decline that we saw in 2004 to 2005. You should always buy better than what you have got or risk seeing everyone around you improve slightly while saints remain static. We do have quality in a lot of areas but you buy a player to start not to sit in the bench. Actually reading your post again that must be a typo above!!! -
i think there is the best part of a 8 year gap berween saints missing a penalty which is surely some record. Between matt v forest and magilton v west ham? Maybe only 1 miss in about 12 years or so. Would be interesting t know

Every team needs a defender like Jaidi - no matter what division you are in. It still amazes me that we went so many seasons without any manager addressing this as a priority.

People will always argue that this is a non -ense and it makes no difference to the outcome of the game. I'm sure statistics would prove this correct. However, the single biggest reason why the away team should never attack toweards the northam in the second half is so that they dont get to celebrate it with their own fans. Time after time after conceeding late at the Northam the away team run straight to to the crowd to celebrate. This means valuable seconds or even minutes are lost in the last few minutes. If we concede late in the chapel the away team will either have less celebrations or run to the away end to celebrate - which is fine as thats wehere they need to be for us to kick off again. To be honest most of us are immune to looking at the away end and seeing wild celebrations with the team who have just scored a late winner.

6 years to legally claim a debt I was told when I looked into it. I claimed a bet from 2003 in 2008 - was ladbrokes and I was told in the shop to write in to head office. They sent me a cheque!

1-1!!!!!!!!

Can I just say well done to bandai for putting up some cash. This is a massive toy company head-quatered somewhere in Japan (I think) but has supported this club in its hour of need. Even in these tough times I'm surpried no other slightly more local organisation has found a £1000 to help.

I Wonder if many of the actions taken over the last couple of years have been in anticipation of this event. If the league challange what is happening there is some evidence that the rules are being applied in the situation that they were designed to. The increasing separation between SFC and SLH has seemed odd - as if it was in preparation for something exactly like this. There are different memeber of the two boards of directors - why is this needed unless they are taking different decisions over different parts of the group. Its the actions of the PLC board that have caused our mess - not the football board. (At least if I was RL this would be my number one arguement!) SLH is primerily a holding company in a football club. But forget not that it has also had interests in property (I think), Financial services company, and a radio station. I'd bet that Rupert and co will argue that the rules in place are for exactly our situation and so feel fairly miffed if this was taken away from them by the football league.
