most of them are around 21 years old now though. we can't keep treating Mcgoldrick, Gillett, and Lallana as if they are babies. If they were genuine outstanding talents they would have been knocking on the first team door years ago. What we've actually got is a bunch of very average kids at this level and what's galls me is that these are kids we were grooming for the premiership. Paterson, Gobern, and McClaggon are younger and Schneiderlin is new to english football, so they can have a pass.

Maybe if they get enough stick they can join a hockey league and Rupert will be fit to run the club.

the likes of carlton palmer, robbie slater, stuart ripley, ali dia, neil shipperley, paul jones etc, etc. we've had a limited team for a very long time. fortunately the limit was mostly above relegation, but don't pretend we can't recognise the chaff.

i really miss paul jones these days. Kelvin may be a decent shot stopper but he drops the ball so much and he's not got the judgement to make up for his relative height disadvantage.
