  1. I think the rolleyes indicates some measure of sarcasm in the post you are replying to. But yes, having state of the art facilities probably had something to do with our being able to attract Walcott and Bale to the club. More to do with people like Malcolm Elias though.
  2. Wrong Quinn, surely.
  3. It had better not be Bono.
  4. to be fair, he does mention in the video that he once played for Birmingham.
  5. The administrator said the club was exactly that. Only player registrations.
  6. But the club is worth approx £0 at the breaker's yard. Any money brought in in transfers will be sucked up by the salaries that need to be paid while negotiations go on etc etc. So if a buyer wants the club and the stadium they only really need to pay for the stadium. I don't see why Jackson's farm is in discussion at all. Why would anybody buying the club want to waste money on buying that from the administrator? It might as well be sold of to a separate buyer. Staplewood isn't important. We could always do the skates trick of training at the university grounds.
  7. I'd be inclined to say **** em and keep the name. See what kind of arbitrary punishment they pull from their arses. non league is non league. who cares where we land.
  8. can the administrators not sell off whatever assets they've valued at sum £14m and then sell the football club for whatever is on offer? a football club with no training ground and no stadium and no jacksons farm isn't ideal but it's better than no football cub at all. i don't buy the idea that they can sell footballers if they are going to fold up the club. the players will be able to hold out until the club folds up and take a signing on bonus for a good proportion of whatever their transfer fee would have been, if not more.
  9. I think it's because Lowe is trying to pin the blame for Wilde's errors solely on Leon Crouch. Wilde is doing his best to remind us of what a ******** he is with all his recent bleating to the press, but Rupert, Leon and Lawrie have bigger media egos and while they squabble Wilde will fade into obscurity despite being the worst offender.
  10. I still blame Lowe for fighting such an ineffective campaign to retain his position, but yes Crouch bears some of the blame for backing the wrong horse. He was flip flopping until the very end though. Did he already know there was something wrong with Wilde and just put it to the back of his mind?
  11. I can't see any argument against admin. It was inevitable. The longer we left it the less we had to offer to a buyer.
  12. january transfer window, i meant to say
  13. now we've agreed the formula we can expect only 3% of transfers to go through on the last day of any given transfer window. glad that's sorted.
  14. has the forum crashed yet?
  15. Not true of pinnacleproperty.net afaik. while .uk domain names allow an opt out policy on displaying your details, .com, .net, and .org do not. you'd have to pay a third party to supply details on your behalf.
  16. looks uninspiring on google streetview.
  17. this one stipulates that you can't reveal yourself to the press as an interested party without the permission of the administrator.
  18. Well he could be of course. He's obviously an intelligent man in general and it's quite possible that he could have picked up the required skills. I'd just question the probability of him having picked up extensive tactical knowledge of the game because he didn't really need it.
  19. MAtty might have been one of the most sublimely talented footballers of his generation, but motivational and tactical mastermind? I'd say not. It's usually the cloggers that gain a greater understanding of the game in order to keep up with the more naturally talented ones around them. Chris Marsden or Paul Telfer would fit into this category if Mazza was even interested in coaching and Telfer's footballing brain hadn't been called into question so often. Think we're just going to have to look to someone unaffiliated with the club.
  20. We've had a massive turnover of players, coaches, and directors, but all the while the weaknesses of the team have been fairly consistent. I think we need the stadium unjinxed again.
  21. Credit is due for your dogged determination in sticking to this stupid gimmick.
  22. As i understand it a CVA is just a mechanism for a company to shed some of its debt and continue trading. That's a different issue to how the Administrator seeks to raise funds to pay the creditors. If the club and stadium are sold by the PLC there will be little point in seeking a CVA as the company will have no ongoing business.
  23. The creditors don't get to choose though. In the end it's up to the admin to sort the deal. They have no input and pretty much zero redress if they don't like the results. It's up to the admin how he chooses to achieve the best for the creditors and as far as i know there's nobody he has to answer to.
  24. It's a dead loss, isn't it. Get on with your lives. I wish I could follow my own advice.
  25. bearing in mind that we've already come acropper with appearance fees for paterson this season, we might not be able to afford to make him a first teamer. all the ongoing costs of our bought in youth have to be factored in.
