I wouldn't suggest we sign another Barnard or Lambert either, though it's possible one or both might score more at that level than nugent. If it weren't for the redundancy of his technical abilities, Beattie would be a much better proposition as he's been prolific at that level and above. Back to Nugent, he's not significantly better than i expect our current strikers to be, he doesn't offer any outstanding physical or technical attributes that our squad is lacking and his wages will be stupid. We should either pick up an out of favour first teamer from the premier league on loan or an ebanks-blake-alike from one of the top teams youth systems, or just pick up another league one high flyer unproven in the championship but with attributes like pace that we haven't got. Raid Posh or Huddersfield, whichever team doesn't come up with us.

correction. half the goals he scored that season were in league two. so the best he's done is 15 league goals.
-
He's had one 20 goal (in all competitions) season at championship level. **** knows how he got a game for england never mind a goal. Not the standard we should be looking at.
-
this. they can't both take direct free kicks and penalties. Unless we need to replace Lambert he's not what we need.

I thought he was an exeter fan.

Lee Barnard? -
if he's not on the bus we don't want him.
-
He's our only proper striker really. Lambert is a converted Midfielders, so is Guly. When Barnard isn't on the pitch we rely even more on Lallana to produce something.

A while back companies house required country to be specified on top of the address if it wasn't already.

Adkins: "There is scope to dip into the loan market"

Well we did strengthen our squad of players. we had one winger, we now have three. Would have been nice if they were players worthy of knocking on the door of the first team though. -
The difference between Southampton and Brighton...

The fact noone has played around 400 minutes for a better team, probably. -
every time we loan them out presumably we charge out their services at a realistic value, so at least we're clawing back some of the loss that way. releasing them as you say would just crystalise the full value of the loss right now when we don't need to. I'm not sure what they would actually be entitled to though. £x up front is worth more than £x over the course of a year.

Even if Lawrie was involved in setting up the event, it's possible any of the other people involved could have set up the lifetime achievement award thing without his knowledge. In the absence of ted, he's certainly the most worthy of that accolade.
-
is this not the thing lawrie and co set up independently of the proper channels and the players were told not to attend?

We survived selling Deano and we survived selling Theo, but we got relegated rock bottom the season we sold JB and we were plunged into two seasons for relegation battles, the second of which we finished rock bottom, after we sold Bale.

When is it returning to cybertron? -
That'll be why then. Have to get in earlier these days. Point taken then, it would be nice for it to be part of every announcement.
