This is how I felt when he was playing well and between him, Lallana and Cork we were passing the opposition off the pitch. Last few months his link up play seems to have mostly consisted of losing the ball by dwelling on it for too long or passing it to nobody. That kind of link up play I can do without. It might be that Cork's crisis of confidence and Lallana's gradual recovery from injury have meant he's a bit lost.

Where did this Guly is a striker thing come from? We put him there because we ran out of options and he racked up a decent number of goals while the team were playing everyone off the park. AFAIK he's an attacking midfielder whose natural game we can't accommodate in our system so he gets put wherever we're short.

But Lambert does come deep and create chances for the likes of Lallana and De Ridder. HE might not have scored, but he might have done a better job of holding the ball up, distributing it and just given the rest of the team a kick up the arse. Without him or Hammond on the pitch I reckon we lack leaders. Disappointing as Fonte seems to be our de facto captain at the moment and I expected more of Jos.
