  1. Last I heard he was working at JD sports in sheffield.
  2. does kicking off after two opposition passes count for this statistic?
  3. not going to snark you for it as is the custom on here and i worry that this may be true, but i'd prefer that the problem wasn't deeply entrenched at the club.
  4. play for a team with a better option.
  5. F knows how old it is. I was trying to remember his name for another thread a while back and all I could remember was someone mockingly calling him aboubou. The full name just came to me suddenly while reading this thread. Apparently he's been retired for a few years.
  6. hicham aboucherouane.
  7. I don't mean catalonia's planing to leave is cobblers. i mean that trying to link it to the tired old old firm premier league talking point or the european super league argument for this reason is cobblers. it's really damaging to morals.
  8. is madrid planning on leaving spain as well? what a load of cobblers.
  9. won't be the first or last time the players backed a losing horse.
  10. you say that like the idea would be banning them because of their sex or race rather than banning them because of the overwhelming likelihood that their typical behaviour would contribute to diluting the desired atmosphere below an acceptable level. obviously it's not fair or practical to ban people based on behaviour of the overwhelming majority of their subset of the species, but it's a fair observation.

I think the suggestion was that he's making enough chances and that the other players will eventually start converting the chances he's making.
  13. is it claude's system or is it the system claude was given?
  14. First I would like to point out that I wouldn't have chosen to frame the argument in terms of "weirdness". I was responding to a person who elected to call JRM a "weirdo". I do think it would be "weird" for a person with deeply held beliefs that life is sacred to choose to abort a presumed life regardless of the circumstances. Should they choose to do so I would suspect they did not hold those beliefs after all (though that would not surprise me at all). I would find it even more "weird" for a third party to approve of said abortion of presumed life if they held a deep belief that life is sacred. If my daughter was a catholic I would firstly wonder how that happened. If my daughter was Jacob Rees Mogg I would be doubly confused. If my catholic daughter Jacob chooses to abort his pregnancy then quite frankly I don't want to live on this planet any more.
  15. Two arguments you can have are that you can argue whether the matter is rape and incest or you can argue whether the organism constitutes life. These arguments are independent of each other. If it is presumed there is life and life is considered sacrosanct, the circumstance or method of conception is irrelevant. If it is presumed there is no life, feel free to abort it no matter what the circumstance. The third argument to be had is whether life is sacred.
  16. it would be a bit weird for someone who believes life is sacred and life begins at conception to agree with abortion conditional on the circumstances of conception.
  17. Indeed Alexis signed his contract with arsenal on 10 July 2014, which means he has completed the third year of his contract over a month ago. He's on about £10m a year apparently, so unless he's got more than 5 years left on his contract (which would have made it an 8 year contract in total) it doesn't make a lot of sense for City to raise their bid over 50m if the webster rule holds water.
  18. if that applies it puts a different slant on the importance of renewing contracts regularly and it makes the later years fo the contract disproportionately valuable to the player. imagine your club is holding out for £80m for you, but you are in the second year of a six year contract, on £3m a year, you just have to wait a bit and you stand to spend 9m buying out your contract and pocket £71m yourself. have i missed anything glaringly obvious that makes my example wrong.
  19. It's not about achieving things as a team. it's about individual development. Absolutely nothing like the first team.... or so I'm told.
  20. expect Danny Seaborne to sign then.
  21. KL says we can't cement a position in to 10 without funds injected. MP told by new owners that there are no new funds this window. New owners needed to resort to loans/investment partnership to afford 80% of the club. It's very plausible that this means we will see no new funds for he foreseeable future, but that's not a certainty. Givent hat Lander was said to be moving it's business entirely into sport and this is likely Gao's biggest and most lucrative sport investment, what hope is there of Gao ever being rich enough to own the club outright?
  22. I'd prefer a society that doesn't feel the need to persecute abnormality.
  23. Could get better. There was room for him to improve when he arrived and he's worse than when he arrived, so yes there's plenty of room for him to improve still. That doesn't mean he will.
