if Espanyol sell the players that are making it work for Aguirre, he'll presumably be in the same boat. Maybe he plays a game that is cheaper to get right. His first season wasn't as much of a turn around as Poch managed in his first, and Poch managed a high of 8th, which Aguirre is on course to fall short of this time.

I've heard this sort of thing is a problem when trying to deal without agents. never mind the player agents, the club agents apparently give the club the insde track on the going rate for a player so that they won't be negotiating blind. I suppose you have to weigh up a preference for not involving agents with the potential for additional waste with players like Sharp and Dickson on inflaed contracts.

it looks vaguely like the ball moves back or to the right just before gaston kicks it but that could be because the camera continues panning, while the ball slows down.

if you say so. i'm not sure how that isolated observation covers the rest of the game in which he spent most of the time ambling about casually and getting caught on the ball I've no problem with him trying to create chances but it's anders svensson all over again for me. in fairness cork was getting caught out the same way today after starting the game brilliantly.

no doubt the assist was good but apart from that he looked poor to me. his free kick was on target and his corner kick wasn't as bad as usual, that's about the best I can say about the rest of his performance. Still got caught out in midfield far too many times.
