http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-to-offer-townsend-or-stambouli-to-southampton-in-bid-to-clinch-20m-schneiderlin-deal-10211885.html i wonder how simon thinks this one's going. maybe tottenham will offer townsend to atletico. he's everyone's favourite makeweight except for everyone except tottenham.

Schneiderlin Joins Manchester United (Official)

bloggers killed journalism. everything is now gawker media or a clone thereof. -
is this the royal we or are have you now descended into dissociative identity disorder? tremendous entertainment value regardless.

that's some impressive tinfoil hattery there. it's at least refreshing that this doesn't appear to be a frankfurt school job for a change and that someone on the internet can spell cue. i agree with you that money is king for a footballer, i disagree with your explanation of the motivation.

and bill gates has all that wealth stuffed in a mattress doing nobody any good. footballers will follow the biggest salaries because it will guarantee the security and lifestyle of their family in the shortest time. if you had to avoid a career ending injury for ten years or sign a big contract now that paid you the same amount over the next four, you'd surely take it. a football career is short, a life to consume those earnings in the western world is long.

one long term injury and we're relying on a kid all season and we know what koeman has to say about playing kids week in week out. i think we're light tbh.

Schneiderlin Joins Manchester United (Official)

when we have wanyama and reed are we definitely in the market for a schneiderlin replacement? we played schneiderlin because he was one of our best players, but not necessarily because it was part of the desired system. -
alderweireld is a centre back but plays right back for belgium, dan harding was a left back but played right back in the jpt final, clyne is a right back but covered at left back as a last resort. we're left with targett and yoshida as back up for bertrand afaik. yoshida has never impressed in that capacity.

Transfer update on Clyne, Schneiderlin and transfer priorities

could always have had a minimum fee clause. -
cedric, alderweireld, and some kids as back up should be enough. do we have enough cover at left back with clyne gone?

in my experience of forum software if you edit something before someone has replied or within a certain time frame if nobody has replied it doesn't tend to show an edit. if someone posts a reply it usually always shows edit if you commit the edit after the reply.

steve wisely guarding his exposed shoulder. -
i don't quite understand it either, but he's legally allowed to sign contracts by the law of the land, if not by the law of the football authorities. it may be that there's a contract to sign a contract that is good enough.

the most reliable and controllable way to achieve that is to move to a team with better players. in toby's case, moving to tottenham would be making them better, while staying here would not improve us. since they finished above us, that could from a certain point of view make them a better bet.

tottenham are going to fund moves for new players by paying off their existing players?

United to sign Matt Radcliffe following Tottenham match
sotonist replied to Saint86's topic in The Saints
his family moved without him again. -
in case he gets ohm sick.

pelle was almost certainly a special case at a time when the squad needed rebuilding on an emergency basis. unless we lost half our first team again i'd be surprised to see us sign players without untapped potential. signing an experienced player in a position where we lack experience would be a reasonable exception, but unless we move pelle on, we've got that up front.

actually probably a month or two shy of 36 months. i forget which month they expire.

Long had 18 months left on his deal with WBA when Hull signed him in January and 36 months on his contract when we signed him in august of the same year.

but austin would find out later that he paid for it.
