is pardew on his hols at the moment? just wondering why there has been no tv interviews yet plus it was announced early hours of this morning. maybe he is in the USA or Carribbean where they are quite a bit behind us in time so when it was announced it was sensible o clock for him but stupid o clock for us:) it kind of backs up the rumour from pilchards earlier in the week about manager will be announced before ajax game but this person is currently on his hols though it was pointing more at wgs at the time.
-
maybe thats why graeme murty has been at trial with saints cus he knew pardew was coming in????? what abotu leroy lita? i know some people will say he wont drop down a league but money talks and we have lots of it now!!!!! lita and rikki lambert would be prolific IMO. would cost no more than £2million for both. Hudersfield were quoted £i mil for lambert but could not afford him.
-
Rikki Lambert for sure - 49 goals last two seasons. His scoring record is great. We would then need a player with pace to play alongside him. Jermaine Beckford would we awesome - 34 goals last season.

The official thankyou to Markus thread.

Thank you Markus. I hope you are true to your word and listen to the fans. If you do that then the fans will turn up at SMS and roar the team to success. Cheers -

i remember being at anfield when the kop end was standing. i felt really ill that day and was taken to the first aid room for medical attention. i remember hearing a slight cheering noise and i thought to myself could it be that saints have scored. eventually me and my dad left the first aid room and we discovered paul rideout had just scored for us. i am pretty sure that game ended up 2-2. i left my scarf and proramme in the first aid room but the thoughful scousers returned them back to me in the post:) when we won 3-2 at anfield hurst x2 and ostenstad was a great feeling and also the 4-2 win at stamford bridge - beattie x2, marsden and pahars

the echo paper has quoted the FL in stating that points was not the issue it was due to question marks over the financial people involved. pinnacle say that they were prepared to accpet 10 points deduction so there is no suggestion further deductions were on the cards. the echo says in saints case CVA does not apply. the only story about further points deducton comes from this forum. i have not heard or read from anywhere else that we are in danger of this happening to us. so until a quote from official parties involved appears why are we continuing to speculate over this??????

I for one hope that somehting happens today as any credibility we had left is slowly disminishing into dust. I am concerned about TL's motives on coming on here every so often and that his orginal statements are being contradicted now. I am not saying I think he is a fake or a Bull**** just that when things dont add up people are bound to think the worst in him and Pinnacle. Mark Fry's silence does not help. -
this is so stressful. cant bear another 48 hours i dont think. i just hope my IT dept dont trace my internet activity whilst i am suposedly working lol

I have not seen one quote from FL on this. The statement means fook all. It actually makes no sense and is a pointless statement which does not help anyoneunderstand what is happening. The FL are worthless idiots that wont be happy until Saints have vanished.
-
the full statement does not say anything about losing the right to appeal. I have not seen a quote from the FL yet to back this story up. Has anyone else? The full statement from the Football League reads: " The Board of The Football League met today to consider representations from the 'Pinnacle Group' with regard to their proposed takeover of Southampton Football Club. "The Football League has the responsibility to ensure all League clubs start the season with certainty as regards the competition they compete in. "With that in mind, The Football League has responded directly to the Pinnacle Group, and will continue to liaise with their representatives going forward. "

I am glad he has come forward and given us an update even though it does not tell us that much although just to know that everything is still on course has restored my confidence a bit.

when I go to http://www.saintsfc.co.uk it comes up in the top right hand corner "click here to enter saintsfc.co.uk" I click on that and a new page appears saying new site coming soon. Yet if I click on a link from another post ref Dyer it takes me to that page. Anyone else having same issue?

Funny that! Luthfansa do not fly from Southampton.

I actually live in West Portsmouth (not by choice) but born and bred in Southampton. I have lived in Skateland for 18 months now and I can assure you that Southampton has nothing to be envious of apart from Skates being in Prem with Billionaire owner. In terms of the actual cities Southampton is far more attractive. Both cities have run down areas with Portsmouth having far more grotty areas then nice areas believe me. I have lived in Millbrook, Maybush and Sholing so I have a pretty good knowledge of Southampton as a whole. The Spinnaker Tower is not that impressive. I have stupidly paid £7 to go up there. What waste of time and money. Gun Wharf is ok but parking is expensive and a nightmare to get into. Southsea is something Soton does not have. If they spruced up Weston Shore then we could have something along the same lines. As for culture Southampton wins hands down. P'mouth has no culture and the population of P'mouth are mainly thugs IMO. The reason I live there is because of my partner coming from Portchester. Houses are too pricey there so we had to buy a house just down the road which unfortunately takes us into Skateville. Since living in P'mouth I have been pulled over 4 times by Police for random searches, my fathers dog has been attacked by another dog which was deliberately let of its lead to go and attack my dog, my partner was driving along at night (10pm) and some thug walked out in the middle of the road caused her to stop then ran up to her car and booted the wing arch with steel toe capped boots. Never had these problems when living in Soton even when living opposite Millbrook Towers. Believe me Soton is a great city and definately the pride of the South:)

bang goes the appeal then. If southampton football club staff not getting paid then we lose all credibility in our appeal surely?
-
I reckon the Echo just keep sniffing through posts on here and not bother to do any real work themselves. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4403139.Saints_staff_await_wages_news/

The camera angles that ITV used were unbelievably bad. They also missed out a lot of the build up to the goals so the first bit you see was the ball going into the net. There is no way the BBC will be any worse it is impossible.
-
thats good news however how does one expect to sign a new contract when from the outside looks more likely the club will go out of business unless Kelvin knows more than we do?

How many league 1 clubs spend more than say 500k on summer transfers? Not many if any at all is the answer. If we had 2 million spent on players in the Summer I will be content with that.

Remember high unemplyoment in skate land and benefits have already been collected today so he/she must be very bored right now. How sad that this person has paid £5 to be a full member and post bull**** all day long. What a loser!
