If it goes to unlinked general sale there is more than enough people on the database to sell the game out. I understood there are over 200k people on the database. I remember the queue round st marys when we played Wolves in QF it was horrendus it could be the same for this one. We have 12.5k STH I think. 4.5k skates plus segregation which leaves maybe 14k. Walsall would not normallly attract 26K but based on this linked system I reckon we could be looking at 24k for this one meaning 2k to go on unlinked sale if my calculations are correct?

i had a gut feelin we would not just lose today but lack any real fluency going forward. morgan was a major miss today. he gets us playing the right way and keep hold of the ball. with out him it seems we lack that confidence on the ball hence why we start hoofing.

if we win 3rd round game then even better chance of being drawn against a prem or champ tea next time round. good draw all in all imo.

just thinking ahead if we were to get to the final and play against say leeds utd do you think we would break the record for biggest attendence for football league trophy final currently set by wolves and burnley who had 80,000 in the 1988 final? being that it would be first time for saints to play at the new wembley plus the fantastic following both teams have I think we could set a new record. It may depend come april where both teams are in the league as well I guess. If playoffs loomed for one or both of the teams then some fans may decide that two potential games at wenbley so close together may put them off. Thoughts?

the bristol game was a cracking game and bar the last 20 minutes it was even and some might say saints had the better chances. we created more chances in this game then most of the previous home games so that is a positive. bristol's first 2 goals were dreadful defending. the third was a wonder striker worthy to win any game though if I was to be critical mills should have closed quicker. i think once thommo comes back in at RB then we will be ok. James is a good crosser but positionally he is awful and any half decent winger will have a field day against him. lets give AP more time. a change of manager is not the answer. remember this club has lost its winning mentality so sacking the manager is not the answer. it is down to the players to perform and be consistent.

the only reason why the skates have bid for the world cup is because they need the grant from the government to help finance the "new" stadium. so expanding st marys would be a lot cheaper than grant towards a new stadium. as i understand it the propossed stadium on hornsea island is a no go because of the ecological environment leaving them with only revamping fratton park as there only real option however i think that is a max capacity of no more than 38k so i dont think there bid has any real substance IMO.

can someone confirm whether JT is actually quick because from what I have seen and heard he is not very quick yet Solent always say he has has lightening pace when commentating? I dont think he is much quicker than Lloyd James which is saying something.

I listened to the game on solent so I did not have the advantage of actually seeing the game on saturday but I could not believe AP said we had enough chances to win two games of football! By my reckoning colchester nearly scrored 2 or 3 OG's which was the nearest we came to scoring other than that we were feeding on scraps. we lack creativity. we have thebest striker in the league with otu doubt but with out service what can he do? It seems that mellis is not up to the job yet nor is patterson IMO. Bring in Saga and Papa.

pardew has quoted on OS that he hopes to see a few more quality arrivals come in before start of season which is promising. rikki lambert has to be a realistic target surely? zak whitbread would be good but i suspect he wants a move to champ team.
