As impressive as the win was against Posh, I was slightly concerned about Fonte/Jaidi combination. Both lack pace esp Jaidi plus he is 35 yrs old I think so we have to question whether or not he can play 3 games in 10 days. If Seabourne fit go with him if not Martin or even Butterfield @ CB. As long as we get hold of the midfield and not get caught square at the back then I am confident we can win.

I reckon he was not too happy with Guly coming on before him. In my mind Connolly is more of a liek for like replacement for Barnard however Guly scored so cant argue with Nige's decision.

He is a very experienced coach and his tactics during the three games he was in charge seemed OK. Not sure about his substitutes, although the timing of subs was better than Pardew's. But can hardly blame Wilkins for the ball hitting the woodwork three times against Swindon instead of going in the goal! You are having a laugh. His tactics were awful. This was proven against Rochdale when the players didnt even know what was asked of them when he took Oxlaide off. He was uninspiring to say the least. Overall in the three games he was in charge we barely looked like scoring.

IMO he wont make any loan signings until after Saturday's game. Even though we know we are in desperate need of a striker and a pacy winger NA will give all the players a clean slate. It wouldn't be good for morale to bring in new players straight away. He needs to be seen giving all the players a fair chance. Then if he gets a couple of loans in after that then no one can really argue.

I am really interested how he deals with tactics especially when we are at home and the opposition are playing with 11 men behind the ball. I for one am optimistic this guy has the intelligence and style which the team will benefit from.

NA obviously an intelligent guy. Lets hope he has the ability to change tactics mid game if need be. Be good to hear a manager that is clear and concise and doesn't speak in riddles like our previous manager. I hope can identify where he needs to strengthen the squad quickly. It would be unfair of him to bring loans in straight away with out fully accessing what he has already. Although it wont take too many training sessions to realise we need PACE and GOALS.

We desperately need a manager that has a Plan B. AP struggled with this and DW certainly is clueless when it comes to tactics. OK the bench is definately alot weaker this season but some of the substitutions are are bizarre to say the least. Just hope Adkins can change things mid game if things not going to plan. A loan striker and winger is a must.

Adkins and Saints will get their way. S****horpe wont want a manager who is not 100% focussed and clearly wants to go to Saints therefore they will agree compensation today. As far as I'm concerned Saints are holding the cards. Should they delay or look elsewhere S****horpe are left with a manager who will be demotivated (even if he is a professional guy with principles) so I would imagine they will meet halfway on the amount paid. As frustrating as it may seem to us fans this is how negotiations are done by people with business brain.

NC is probably using his business head in this situation. He has no doubt offered less that what S****horpe feel Adkins is worth. Now as it stands S****horpe have a manager who is "dreaming" about becoming a manager of another club. As much as he seems a decent guy his head cannot be 100% foccussed as it prehaps was before. He is only human. I know if I had the chance to better myself but my employer and my potential new employer couldnt agree terms of my release then my head would be all over the place. So do S****horpe take what NC is offering or be left with a manager who wishes he was somewhere else? My gut feeling is that they will meet halfway on the compensation amount meaning NC has saved x amount but using his skills of negotiation.

That was a criticism of AP in that he would often talk in riddles and many interviews came across unclear. I always got the impression he tried to give little away as possible in interviews which may be why he didnt always make much sense. It seems Adkins is open and honest which may not be what NC would like! NC should employ someone from MI6 to keep everything in house lol

Not sure what sort of football s****horpe play but as long as we have plan B and even a plan C then I am happy. The football may not be so easy on the eye but its a results business so if it means grinding out a 1-0 ome win against Oldham who cares! Just hope the players get on with their job and put aside the pressure and expectationsto play to their ability and win some football matches.

ssn suggested last night that two present/previous PL managers have applied for the job. I wonder if that Kevin Macdonald at Villa has applied considering it looks increasingly unlikely he will get the Villa job? If past PL manager then this could be a long list of candiates such as Brown, Coppell, Dowie, Shearer, Keegan, Zola, MoN .......

Adkins has experience in getting team promoted from L1 but managing Saints will be far different to managing a team that has far less aspirations, ambition and expectations. I just hope NC gives him a chance and doesn't interfere in the footballing side. If it is Adkins then I hope he is not going to be a "Yes" man to NC/LR. On the other hand maybe Adkins has been deliberately leaked so NC really pulls something "wow" out of the bag, but that is probably wishful thinking.

JEFC if you please:) This thread has lost all little credibility it had. There is only about 3 posters on this forum that post facts who incidently haven't posted on this thread thus far, the rest of you are just ITK wannabees.

Can you answer these two questions which I dont think will give to much away and will protect your "source". 1. Is this "person" currently in a managerial role at another club? 2. Is this "person" British?

i was disapointed the AP chant fizzled out so quickly today. cortesi needs to know that unless he explains why AP was sacked (i.e misconduct, performance related) then fans will make their own opinions up why he was sacked. So when the team are playing so poorly this week yet won so welll only last saturday with AP in charge then I dont blame fans for singing AP name. No different to booing at HT or FT really which again was deserved. Why should fans accept this decision with out being given transparent reasons for it. The club statement is not clear at all on the reasons why.

If this is the case then why play him against Swindon in the JPT? Surely JPT was not a piority this season! Last year we had much bigger squad so we had the likes of Antonio and Papa to come into the team who would make a difference. The bench this year is much weaker imo therefore we should protect the likes of Lambert if they are carrying injuries.

Cant have Guly on Left so I say bring Dickson or Mills in LM to hopefully get some decent crosses in for lambert and then use Guly in CM in place of Hammond against Rochdale although cant see Hammond being dropped. Need creativity even more so now Lallana out.
