  1. i would freshen up it again just to keep everyone on there toes plus chance to rest some players in prep for what is going to be a relentless run in. that said i will always be nervous in resting our "spine" players as i feel they are pivotal to the way we control the game and set the tempo. de ridder deserves a start but we know and more importantly nige knows he is far more effective coming off the bench. i would go with davis frazer fonte jos harding chaplow cork morgan lallana lambert lee subs martin hammond de ridder sharp connolly/puncheon
  2. Aussie Dog - Your last email to them is so condescending. It's this type of attitude that makes me glad I no longer deal with customers in my line of work. They gave you a satisfactory reason to why they require names, so I don't see why you should belittle them.
  3. will they only get match ticket when onboard coach then?
  4. How have their fans been allowed to buy tickets with buying coach ticket then? Sure we had to buy coach ticket at same time as match ticket.
  5. He was only saying what everyone is thinking. On the face of it, it is laughable that a club that owes local businesses and charities money and have laid staff off get to win this award.
  6. Love it to be pompey game and send them down at same time
  7. 30. 1st home game was 89/90 season v luton - won 6-2 1st away game was at anfield 1990, spent most of the game in medical room chucking up. missed paul rideout goal. - lost 3-2 highlight - zenith data cup final lowlight - losing to everton 7-1 at goodison park in 1996
  8. Errrrr I think crowd was applauding adkins decision to take him off.
  9. Guly is a decent player when on song but when he is not he is awful. He was rubbish the other night and those who think he was ok need to remove their blinkers. If Guly gets stick from the crowd then it is purely down to his rubbish performances and nothing else. Anyone who posts otherwise is just **** stirring. Yes all players have off days but the problem with Guly his off days stick out like sore thumb. Any player that goes from the sublime to garbage all to often tends to get more criticism than those who are sub standard most of the time. Harding is gash most of the time and his positional awareness is a worry although Fox can also be caught out. Fox's set pieces however are a real asset and are worth a place in the team alone. Hammond is another player that majority of the time is poor and he only looks ok when the other midfielders are playing well and carry him. These 3 players are not scapegoats for criticism but they are our most inconsistent players and when their bad they are real bad.
  10. McDermott will win it. Reading then have Leicester home then have 3 away games on the spin. Please let the curse strike.
  11. davis frazer fonte jos harding guly hammond morgan lallana/puncheon sharp lambert cork puncheon/sdr lee martin chaplow
  12. interesting that warnock seems to have inside knowledge of our finances. He was quoted as saying about us going for top quality players at the moment before the game then here he is saying about us having nothing to fear about going up and suggesting we will have plenty of financial backing.
  13. Birmingham been placed under a transfer embargo for failing to disclose accounts on time. They openly admit to making sure they recruited players before expected penalty enforced. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17232625 surely this is cheating the system and they are gaining a potentially unfair advantage
  14. couldnt see lallana in training footage. adkins said he has had scan and has been doing some individual conditioning work and he is close. will see on friday if he is going to be fit. i suspect he wont make leeds game but will be back for tuesday. lambert been in full training since tuesday and is fit which is great news
  15. big loss if that is true however actually think Lambert being fit is more important for leeds game. puncheon or sdr are adequate replacements for lallana but we have no like for like replacement for lambert really.
  16. solent tweeted saying adkins hinted that lambert will be fit but he was less committal about lallana being fit.
  17. was you in disguise? otherwise they might think you are actually stalking them lol
  18. I was of the opinion that Morgan would have one good game out of 2 or 3 however I will admit he has been playing really well of late. during our current unbeaten run he has played well in all of them which arguably is a big reason why the team is back to winning ways. if a team can get a firm control of the ball in the middle of the park then you stand much greater chance of winning.
  19. on a few occasions (west ham game for example) they put the latest video highlights in the video archive section of the site but not on the latest news page which is really annoying. So you could go a couple of days post match thinking highlights not posted yet they were in the archive section all along.
  20. Frazer "getting closer" probably means we will see him in about 3 weeks. Chaplow was "getting closer" for about 4 weeks. At least butterfield is near to full fitness as not sure about harding when up against decent winger i.e snodgrass next weekend
  21. the fans who find it hard to attend for mid week games will not have committed to buying ticket for this game until we were out of the cup. It wasn't a guaranteed saturday fixture is what I meant.
  22. dont forget this game was originally set for a tuesday, only rearranged once we lost to millwall in cup. so it hasnt been a saturday fixture for very long. I think there will be a few that will walk up on saturday. 24k would be my guess which actually is not that bad. football attendances are down overall and 24k for 2nd tier is not terrible and would be more than a lot of the bottom half teams in prem get.
  23. Seem to be creating much more in last two games. Puncheon or chappers to start away from home guly far too inconsistent therefore carries a greater risk when playing away.
  24. i think he will play the same team that started saturday. it's interesting because it is the line up (apart from sharp) that started the season so well esp at home but away from home was a little inconsistent. prior to burnley game and since the bristol city game our home form had been poor yet our away form picked up and the team line up/tactics was different to the one that started the season. so does adkins use different personnel and tactics when playing away from SMS in order to continue recent resurgence on the road? the only player i would consider changing is guly for puncheon as guly has always been more effective at SMS and he was perhaps one of the reasons why we was so inconsistent on the road. tactically he then has to decide whether to play flat 4 across the middle or play diamond. just hope what ever he goes with works from the off rather than changing 20 minutes into game when we are already chasing the game.
  25. the one sure thing would be england will play much more exciting football. the football was so bland under capello they were so boring to watch. yes redknapp has no tactical nouse but capello was supposed to be the master tactician but that got us nowhere. he is the best out of a bad bunch if we give it to an englishman. at least england wont be a turn off under redknapp which is why I think he will get the job.
