6 pages of hysteria over something that is not unusual and probably insignificant. So what we have taken a loan out against future revenue. I trust NC in the running of the club and l recall Nige saying previously the club will never go into administration under NC/Liebherr ownership. even taking worst case scenario i.e. relegation we have enough sellable assets and parachute payments to cover our backs plus players will have to take drop in wages (in contract terms).

sergio aguero goal that won the title was incredible, even for the neutrals. when kevin moore made it 2-2 in ZDC at the old wembley that was a spine tingling moment.

Taxi for Guly- Up north as far as possible
jasoneuelllfanclub replied to Saints Warrior's topic in The Saints
Our friend and fans favourite Guly would like to move back to Brazil before he retires. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/Southampton/Saints-ace-drops-Brazil-return-admission-1479178.html?#.UGwGuk16t8E Quick Nige book him a flight and pack his bags. I will drive him to the airport seeing as he cannot drive himself -
To me it is very much a negative statement from chaplow. He is right that Goodison Park is a tough place to go to however many teams will suffer the same fate as us. That doesnt mean we should be despondent about playing away from home and just count on home games which is in effect what he is saying. Take away the top 6/7 teams there should be no team to fear playing home or away. Maybe the players dont believe in adkins tactics and gung ho approach when playing away.

Although Gazza made a great save moments before their 3rd goal he really should have saved that one. Boruc hasnt played since end of last season and his fitness is not up to speed yet (even keepers have to have a decent level of fitness) so he will have to wait. Shaw is pencilled in for the U21's game today so if he comes through unscathed I would stick him at left back and put clyne back at right back. jose was ball watching on everton's 2nd goal and is simply not good enough at this level so I would stick Jos in although I have same doubts about his ability at this level. Chaplow in for JWP on the basis we need more steel and bite in the middle. JWP is tidy on the ball and is a great prospect but we have enough in ramirez, lallana, davis and puncheon to make things happen with the ball. gazza clyne yoshida jos shaw Chaplow Davis Puncheon Ramirez Lallana Lambert

Chaplow's tweet after game "Nice to be on the pitch albeit for a short time and on the end of defeat, tough place to go tho Goodison, home games will be key this season!" To me this is a defeatist attitude about playing away from home and alarmingly chaplow may well be echoing the overall thoughts with in the club due to our gung ho approach and tactics. It seems the mindset is away games are just for bonus points and home games is the priority. I hope the adkins and the lads prove me wrong but at the moment the team shape and tactics is all wrong and the oppo are duly exploiting these glaring weaknesses. we need to build from the back and learn to contain teams rather than fold at a sniff of pressure.

Agree with this but Hooiveld is not likely to play so Jose in for him unfortunately. Definitely go back to 4-4-2 against villa. We need balance in midfield as well as having someone with pace alongside lambert. 4-3-3 gets exposed down the flanks which our fullbacks esp fox find hard to cope with albeit villla are no arsenal. I can see ramirez and morgan being a great combo however adkins did point out ramirez is ideal for #10 role.

Davis installs zero confidence in the players in front of him. Even his shot stopping is questionable now given that he doesnt parry the ball out to the sides and away from immediate danger enough for my liking. Arsenal got lucky with 3-4 of their goals but they did carve us open far too much and found davis in charitable form. a Fonte/Yoshida partnership for the next few games is not something I am eagerly anticipating. As for Free agents available they are Free agents for a reason, usually because they are sub standard or they are injury prone so I wont hold my breath on that front. Adkins needs to sort it out with what he has at his current disposal I think which is going to be a tough challenge. We need at least 7 points from next four games IMO otherwise the table position will start to play on the players minds and create even further pressure.

i agree, it is so bloody annoying plus the accept cookies notice everytime I enter the site is equally as annoying.

Pretty clueless statement. It is physically impossible to maintain the relentless pressing we did on Utd for a full 90 minutes with the same 11 players. Adkins should have freshened the midfield up not the attack although unfortunately we didnt have a lot of options for midfield other than our friend Guly. Corky had he been fit would have been perfect to have brought on and snap away at Utd's heals especially Scholes.

Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan

I do think Mayuka signing has cortesi written all over it. thats not to say he wont be any good or will add quality to the team but it is my opinion cortesi has a significant input on team affairs. -
i have no doubt cortesi has a plan in place should he get rid of nige but he will go for a continental "head coach" not old saggychops. plus Arry wont take to kindly to Cortesi's hands on involvement.

Saints looked really solid defending set pieces all game apart from RVP's 3rd goal which was scandalous marking from Fonte. However it seems Saints have adopted zonal marking rather than man marking which is very risky. Although Davis saved a penalty which in honesty was a ****e attempt by RVP his distribution was awful all game. Numerous times he put his team under unnecessary pressure with stupid attempted passes. Fox tucks inside far to much and leaves the winger in acres of space to pick out crosses. He was nowhere near closing down cross for their 2nd goal albeit JRod didnt help on that one. On a positive Clyne is going to be a top player. Just needs to improve his decision making on what boots to wear
-
the midfield was beginning to tire understandably and passes were starting to go astray. Adkins was right to freshen it up but he got the personnel wrong. it was crying out for someone like cork to come on and maintain our pressing game. lambert, lallana and puncheon played unbelievably today but they were dead on there feet.

calm down guys. through out this whole saga the deal has been on-off more times then MLT and Turkish have had difference of opinions. really cant see liverpool getting him this late in the day as the deal is so complicated. he either joins us or stays at bologna until january.
-
agreed, although he will want to make sure the original verbal offer from saints is reflected in the written contract before signing so naturally he will be in discussions.

Football Juice @Football_Juice Gastón Ramírez is in England to discuss personal terms with Southampton after a fee was finally reached with Bologna. #Saints

the question I have is he quick as in Jonno quick?

the club need to employ a decent marketing team which will help for starters. club are far to secretive when it comes to tickets sold. surely if sales are low they need there PR machine to entice fans including making it widely known tickets are available on the day by using not just the OS. the new website is absolute dog ****e, most people like to access the website via their phone which is cumbersome at the moment due to their being no mobile version so that doesnt help fans keep up to date.

Isn't Bailey in the ITK club on here?
