Some Dutch guy on twitter reckons Koeman was on flight to London Heathrow yesterday which would tally up with the rumours he was shown around the facilities yesterday. If its true that the interview with Puel was cancelled yesterday then this would suggest to me Koeman is the one they want. Odds suggest he is run away favourite for the job, bookies usually right.

Jeez some people have there heads well and truly buried in the sand to the extent they are questioning Adam Blackmore's integrity. Let's get one thing straight AB is a local media person who has been doing saints match commentaries for years. He has good contacts with in and around the club. he is just telling it the way it is. If the Happy Clappers are too blinkered to see that and think he has an agenda then I suggest they come off the internet and wait for announcement from club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have I missed something with Fonte? Why are people so sure contract been withdrawn and that him being unhappy will hit the papers soon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Won French league with Monaco in his first job. Went onto Lille then to Lyon now at Nice. Looks to average about 45% win ratio overall. Maybe the two rumoured to be on shortlist are him and Koeman. Sent from my HTC One SV using Tapatalk

RK interview in Echo includes a bit about using youth to be competitive. "We are going to have to compete our way. We are going to have to do it through youth, through our own player development" I am very skeptical of this. I interpret that as there will be minimum funds available to buy players. Who says we will have funds available? Not once has RK or anyone from board said there will be significant funds available. The fact he keeps banging on about academy and how we will use youth to be competitive suggests limited funds will be made available. Sent from my HTC One SV using Tapatalk

Look no reasonable Saints fan will begrudge Lambert this move. The issue is the domino effect this is likely to have on departures and club morale. We have seen Poch and Lambert (virtually) leave this week, talks with Utd over Shaw have also resumed today. Time for the happy clappers to pull their heads out from the sand and get real. We have had nothing but waffle and contradictory bull**** from the club since that statement from Les Reed.

The echo transcript suggests the club need to use youth to compete and to get into Europe. Strange comment imo, need a blend of youth and experienced signings to make that happen. Didn't hear that bit on radio interview so not sure if RK did separate interview for print media or not. Would have been good if blackmore had asked him if the new manager would get significant funds to buy players. Sent from my HTC One SV using Tapatalk

I can definitely see him having his favorites. The likes of Yoshida, Jos, Guly and Gaston would probably have a very different opinion to some in the squad.

Should we hold a vote of No Confidence in the Board, or...
jasoneuelllfanclub replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Thats not true. They have to decide what to do with Pochettino for starters. They had to make decision on Dodd and Williams. They are still to make decisions on Cork and Fonte contracts. They have received bids for both Shaw and Lallana and possibly others for which they have had to respond to. None of which we have had any transparency over btw. -
It seems Poch can leave if he chooses to as long as the £2m get out clause is paid up. I would imagine Spurs have agreed to cover this therefore Poch is free to talk to them regardless of Saints position.

On one hand I want poch to stay but on the other hand I am not comfortable with the games being played. I just think we will have the same speculation every year with him. Sent from my HTC One SV using Tapatalk

Nixon - Surprise departures tweet
jasoneuelllfanclub replied to Convict Colony's topic in The Saints
If your contract was coming into final year or near to expiring would you want to find out the clubs intentions for extending it? In any line of work the employee would be in there rights to question the employers intentions should they be in an insecure position! -
Cortese speaking to BBC for first time since leaving Saints
jasoneuelllfanclub replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
So do you not think Cortese still has contact with certain players? I am 100% confident he knows about potential outgoing transfers which is why he has decided now is a good time to make it known he would not have sold our best players under his watch to make him look good and to make the new board look weak. -

Its all about the timing to get the maximum impact. Shaw to Utd will be announced very soon which Cortese is fully aware of. The interview smacks of agenda but he is right no matter how you look at it. It is clear to me the boards ambitions are far less than that of the manager and players. Cortese sold them the vision regardless whether it was achievable or not. -
Dont worry guys, the OP is just scarf-mongering

Nixon - Surprise departures tweet

Just a hunch but I would go with Les Reed and Gareth Rogers. High profiled enough for a journo to be bothered about it. -
Nixon - Surprise departures tweet

Must either be two well known figures or due to the reason for the sackings to why Nixon is "surprised" and "shocked". I would guess there have been leaks to the media from within. -
The journo was John Cross who actually stated Redknapp would be ideal as he lives nearby. Goes to show these Journo's know nothing about clubs outside the elite group. The amount of Journo's including Cross who slammed Norwich for sacking Chris Hughton yet you ask any Norwich fan and they would have supported the decision because he was useless tactically and the football was dire.

Interesting that Cortese had to be talked out of sacking Poch by senior players back in December according to Adam Blackmore. You could make a film from the going ons at St Mary's! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ramirez injury record sucks. Ramirez isn't suited to Pochettino intense pressing style. Poch expects all 10 outfield players to bust their balls for the team. Ramirez doesnt unfortunately.

David McDonnell from Mirror is reporting that deal is near and just final pieces of contract are just left to be completed. He is in the know at Utd so I would suggest this is accurate or Utd have got him to deliberately leak this for their own agenda. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-transfers-luke-shaw-3529790 FWIW I think if Shaw is to leave then Utd is the best club for him. I would be gutted of course but good luck to the lad. Dont think we will miss him as much as we would miss Lallana though.

You lose one you will lose the other.

The story wasnt put to Rogers. Ray Parlour mentioned it mid sentence and carried on waffling without actually questioning Rogers on it.

Not sure how to interpret this silent stance from Pochettino. On one hand I think that if Poch had already decided to walk away it would have got out by now, these things usually do. On the flip side maybe it is genuine that all parties will sit down and discuss contract from Monday onwards. I find it hard to believe that no contract offer or even an outlined proposal has not been made known to Poch assuming club want to keep him on. Reed says they have discussed potential targets for the summer yet Poch has said he doesnt know what the budget will be. A lot of propaganda from both sides at the moment. Until we get some clarification, this new charm offensive from club towards fans will be met with scepticism by me.
