I work for a billion dollar company and the saints shirt deal is not far short of our global marketing budget which includes TV spots so I would argue that's it's "peanuts" from a marketing POV. The alarm bells ring on this deal. I struggle to believe a new company would invest millions of pounds on a shirt sponsor when they seemingly have no infrastructure. The info about being formed in Southampton and coaching thousands of aspiring footballers seems bogus to me. To put him straight in without any u23 match practice after 3 months out was strange imo. Targett had done ok (not great) so wasn't like we were desperate for him to return.
