BBC say announcement later today @BBCSport's Tweet: Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

Not doubting you but why would club want to wait for UA sponsorship to kick in before announcing new manager? Besides club love milking PR so would have thought kit launch would tie in with start of UA contract and new manager announced before that. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

This is spot on. On one hand club accept our place in the food chain yet on the other they give impression skies the limit with the "ambition". They made a point when announcing koeman's departure that they wanted someone whose ambition is aligned with club and it's supporters. Imo there is total disconnect with fans over ambition which is down to poor/misleading PR from club. Fans need transparency in order to hsve their expectations aligned not bull**** youtube videos from Les Reed. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons
jasoneuelllfanclub replied to toe_punt's topic in The Saints
In this crazy world of inflated fees we should be getting more than £30m. To sell 5th key player to same team in last two years is quite frankly embarrassing. Don't have issue with selling players to elite clubs for inflated fees but we just seem to bend over for Liverpool. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk -
Best odds 4/9. Odds are so short surely bookies will suspend betting shortly? Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

Nathan Redmond Joins on 5 Year Deal - Official
jasoneuelllfanclub replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Last 2 summers we've had positive net outlay and this summer probably be no different. If we didn't sell would we spend any money? I have my doubts. I think a sell before buy policy is in place imo. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk -
CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons
jasoneuelllfanclub replied to toe_punt's topic in The Saints
The last three summers suggests we have to sell before we can buy. With all the TV revenue we get we still wont spend more than we sell. Admirable in some ways that this strategy has brought us success but in no way, shape or form can it be classified as having Ambition. Sooner or later the bubble will burst, next season going to be hard enough without selling key players and having another bedding in period. -
Nathan Redmond Joins on 5 Year Deal - Official
jasoneuelllfanclub replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
It has been widely reported we was after a right winger for quite some time, I guess to replace Juanmi. Mane is not a winger. Hes proven to be far more effective through the middle. Redmond much more of a orthodox winger. -
I would imagine Marco Silva would be perfect for Saints. Proven to work wonders for small selling club. I'm sure he has ticked a lot of Les's boxes. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

Given Pellegrini is in the twilight of his career this may be advantageous for Saints. He's already managed biggest club in the world so I can see him sticking around for the full 3 years then handing over the ropes to a young protégé. By this point maybe Jose Fonte will be ready to take the hot seat. One thing Pellegrini has is pedigree and status with in the game. Can only bode well for convincing players to join / stay. Not sure he will get any better. He is technically limited in what he can do with the ball. He's a decent defensive midfielder but no more. He improved more under Koeman than Poch albeit obviously he was more experienced and had 1st year in PL under his belt by the time Koeman took over. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

To me what he said doesn't make sense? It reads as if first option was to go into final year of contract but he didn't want to do that! Surely it was the club who didn't want that ? Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

Mystery manager is foreign according to JW. Seems to be a 3 man shortlist - Garcia, FDB and Mystery manager. Redmond deal for £8m on the cards.

Informative post. Some of the football under Koeman was at times pedestrian and lacking any real innovative penetration. Obviously since turn of the year our attacking play improved and we scored lots of goals albeit to the detriment of our defensive shape and organisation. We got counter attacked far too easily. Im not overly enthused about Garcia but Saints do have a knack of providing the necessary platform for not just players to improve but managers as well.

You may well have been told this but I would suggest this is ********. May well have been a meal at a restaurant together but Les Reed would read the riot act to koeman not Kat and certainly not in a public place where a "noisy row" broke out. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

I agree. With the money going to be spent by so called bigger clubs and influx of high calibre managers it will be very difficult to finish 6th or higher. I would say good cup runs are a realistic aims. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

This would be brilliant lol Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

The deal has hit a snag mate. Koeman has since found out the cafeteria at the training ground doesnt offer chips and mayo. The deal is very much in the balance now. Sorry
-
Not sure on salary but his buy out clause dropped from €4m to €2m last week. I cant imagine it would be more than the reported £3.5m Koeman was on at Saints.

That piece in Echo is pathetic PR spin from Saints. At the end of the day saints just bend over and take it with out so much of a fight. Koeman is a **** but **** sake saints grow some balls Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

He never stood a chance at Chelsea with the older Terry and Lampard ruling the dressing room. He achieved more points at Spurs than Poch did last season. I think he would be a decent option. More experienced and even more importantly has won silverware since. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

Nothing about this makes much sense. Vvd, forster and jwp signing new contracts and talk about this new ambition makes it even more unclear. I wouldn't put it past Reed to bull****. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
