  1. Cortese wooooh, cortese wooooh, he comes from italy, he fking hates pompey!!!! This must be sung on Sunday....... show him our appreciation for the ambition, drive and vision he has brought to our once again proud footbal club. A song for Morgan wouldnt go amiss either. COYR!!!!!
  2. Eddie Howe, mainly because it would p1ss bompey off!
  3. If we can't get at least 3 or 4 points against these 2 we deserve to be fighting for our lives come the final whistle on Sunday 19th!
  4. Ed Chamberlian has just tweeted saying 'sunderland haven't won on a Monday night in 11 years (17 games)'. So they'll win tonight after that sort of fact ;-)
  5. So where is better? I moved this year to Block 2, after hearing amazing things, all I hear at games is the away fans, the Northam and at times myself.
  6. Always have been good away from home and In Northam at home and when winning. Just need to replicate this everywhere else at St Mary's when backs against the walls! COYR!
  7. No team relegated when 5 points ahead of relegation zone with three to play. Could be only 4 if Wigan win game in hand though..... EEEEEEEK, could do with a point at WHL saturday please and or Wigan to loose at the Hawthorns. WBA prob wont turn up for that one after steam rolling us.
  8. Average (current) position for opponents Poch has faced is 10.23, Adkins last 13 games = 11.92 and overall = 10.4 Poch games = 6 1 18 2 16 19 14 7 3 20 10 9 8 Adkins games (reverse order)= 3 17 4 12 11 15 20 7 14 16 19 9 8 5 10 11 6 17 4 1 18 2 Just bored
  9. Under Poch we have got an average of 1.3 points a game (GD 0) and under Adkins we had a point per game (GD -10). So if both managers took their average into all 35 games so far this season: Poch would be 9th on 45 points (three behind WBA), Adkins would be on 35 points (one above Villa and 3 above Wigan having played an extra game). So cant really compare their achievements in the premiership this season. Considering Adkins has had the bulk of this team for 1-2/3 years and had pre-season...... Although think we should be finishing higher than Sunderland, I hope they win tonight and go above us to keep distance between us and Villa. Hopefully Wigan and Villa end up fighting it out last game.
  10. The team except Clyne and Morgan were shocking, but the majority of fans got what we deserved today: out sung even at 0-0. Never got behind the boys, was as embarrassing as our football. Never again after this season will I buy my season ticket anywhere but the Northam! Sat in block 2 this season and without the away fans next to us I may aswell have been stood in front of a TV and shout at it on my own! I understand that sometimes the team needs to earn the support, but what they have achieved this season more than earns our support even if 7-0 down! I remember back at the dell, even at 2 and 3 nil down we would get behind the team and never out sung by the visiting supporters! It sums people up when they sing 'gaston Ramirez' when he got sent off, especially after his non performances this season, but I get strange looks when i start singing 'Morgan Schneiderlin' who has been outstanding this season and our best player by a country mile today!
  11. Everytime I sing that song, a little more of that day leaves me. Singing it at a European game, live on TV will be the icing on the cake in years to come!
  12. Could you imagine turning up on Saturday to see Foy and Clattenberg as the official match day Ref's? Don't know I've I'd be able to cope. Means they would need double the amount of standard refs, how far down the leagues would/could this happen?
  13. Neil Lennon named him in his 'played with 11' above Keller.
  14. It needs to be expanded into a 'Shearer's' type bar at St James'. It was a nice atmosphere in their before the game earlier in the season.
  15. A CB, with prem or top european/international experience! But I will be very suprised if we sign anyone from England this summer!
  16. Ha! just seen 'my' posts from last night. My mates must have got hold of my phone and posted them. Although they probably did it because I kept moaning about the support in the Itchen/Northam corner this season. Having always sat in the Northam before, I got my Season ticket in the Itchen this season so my mates and I were in the same stand. However I have regretted it most games. Despite the added advantage of banter with the away fans, we are mostly drowned out by the away fans in that area as the vocal support is not high in numbers unless we take the lead, or sing about the opposition or skates. At times and especially near the end of the Chelsea game I looked over and from the Other side of the away fans in the Northam around to the first few blocks in the Kingsland was buzzing. Very few occassions do fans in the Itchen corner sing the same song as the Northam and on occassions seem to deliberately change the song. I know not everyone goes to football to sing and support the team vocally, just very frustrated with my choice of seat this year after often hearing positive things about the atmosphere in this part of the ground.
  17. Doesnt mean that football should end with violence....I love the banter and highly charged atmospheres during a game, but as soon as you leave the ground and mix outside with the opposition fans you should be able to continue a bit of verbal banter (win, lose or draw) without leading to any physical altercations. Not just at football but in all walks of life, people need to be able to take and give banter without feeling it necessary top raise their fists. Unfortunately some people are too stupid to be able to cope with banter and cant reply so feel it necessary to use their physical attributes to make up for their lack of brain cells. I even have mates who get aggressive and personal when being bantered, even though their banter is a lot more personal and provocative then what they receive.
  18. Are support is ****ing ****
  19. Are support is ****ing ****! Almost as bad as the westham style of football!
  20. They really did take the chant about never winning the JPT to heart didnt they!
  21. Morgan ans Shaw/Clyne!
  22. EIEIEIO up the premierleague we go..... when we finish second we go up and win the fight, while brighton and reading fail to keep up!
  23. What faults are these of Cortese? He persuaded St Markus to buy the club and very decision he made so far has been positive and taken the club forward, unless your are a Pompey fan I fail to see his faults or negative in anything he has done at the football club. You may or may not take his side on some both media battles etc but who cares if the club are winning football games an climbing the football league ladder every season.
  24. Hopefully*
  25. Hopfully we can keep that run of red L's on readings form next sat!
