  1. Hows this for a combined worst team in Ralphs favourite 5-3-2 Gunn Valery Davenport Stephens Kenton Bernard JWP Prutton McCann Long Blackstock Smith Vestergaard Le Saux Jakobsson Romeu Obafemi Best
  2. See ya Ralph. Would even take big Sam. We have no club identity and the quality of football is turgid.
  3. 100% this, we probably have the worst CM options in the league. We can talk about individual mistakes in defence but the lack of protection from our midfield is also alarming
  4. Playing 5 at the back has not improved us defensively, in fact it makes us worse.. 4-2-3-1 McCarthy Valery Yoshida Danso Cedric Romeu Hojbjerg Redmond Boufal JWP Ings
  5. Its the 'experienced' players lack of fight, determination, organisation which really irritates me. These are the guys who are supposed to set an example and make sure the game doesnt get embarassing. Yoshida - the fact hes arguably our best CB shows what mess we're in. Was 4th choice about 2 years ago. Made mistake after mistake and Vardy made a mockery of him Bertrand - Red was a bit unlucky so he avoided the ensuing collapse. However nowhere near the levels he set 3/4 years ago Romeu - still gets praised on here somehow. My dads in his 60s and is more mobile than him. Hes meant to shield the defence but struggles to keep up with play Hojbjerg - the captain is the person who sets the bar. Really poor in possession and positioning. We dont need someone whos good at making apologies, we need a leader who grabs the team by the scruff JWP - he claims that the club is in his heart, but at times just runs around aimlessly. Cant tackle, too lightweight, poor in the air, cant beat a man. If he couldnt take a set piece he would be playing amateur level That is the core of our team and where we're going wrong. We have a good crop of players like Redmond, Ings, Boufal, Djenepo, Bednarek who on their day can be very good. We also have a number of young players who are good enough for the PL but they all need guidance and direction, especially when things arent going well. We need to build a better core of experienced leadership type players. Its no surprise that the likes of Burnley, Brighton, Bournemouth, Sheff Utd are getting more out of what they have than us. The current transfer policy of identifying raw, young talent who are capable of developing quickly is all well and good when you have a good core of experience and leadership around them. We dont and it needs addressed
  6. Thats a first team assistant coach, not manager. Essentially the same as Watson and Davis
  7. Charlie Austin is bound to post something
  8. As much as i want to defend Ralph, theres no chance Hughes, Pellegrino or Puel would have lost that 9-0. F***ing NINE goals. The lack of effort and organisation was pathetic. Even at the bottom rung of league 1, I've never been this embarassed to be a saints fan. Speechless
  9. 4 points behind Sheff Utd and Burnley at this stage of this season tells you everything you need to know about us. Average teams on paper but they have fantastic workrate and organisation. Something we've lacked for years. We currently dont have any identity in the way we play
  10. He wont make it in the prem. That im sure of
  11. We're getting worse defensively and all the fist pumps/celebrations with the fans cant cover that. Thats on Ralph but who could we actually bring in to replace him. He deserves our patience

    Ross Wilson

We can maybe get somebody competent in. Hooray
  13. Gunn Cedric (Valery if injured) Bednarek Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Hojbjerg Boufal Redmond JWP Ings As much as i would like to see Danso at CB and Adams at CF, Ralph has to go with the in form/more consistent players
  14. Get rid of Hojbjerg and replace with an injury plagued Wanyama. Aye good one
  15. They are a championship side looking at their squad, especially with the likes of McBurnie, McGoldrick and Sharp as their strikers. On paper we are a better side but newly promoted teams away, especially early in the season when little pressure is on them can be very difficult. Hope we can nick it but can see a draw. 1-1 (Adams first league goal)
  16. Some people just need something to gurn about. Give the guy a fookin chance
  17. Definitely not our worst player, but Danny Fox was pure dog sh** definsively
  18. Adams with a couple of goals to really make his mark here
  19. Sky sports soon
  20. Definitely not, comes across as a nice guy but hes sh*** and we need better
  21. Result aside, really hope the club are looking now for a quality DM. Struggling to see what Romeu offers us and it was evident today. Too slow, both in and out of possession. Makes alot of clumsy tackles, mostly because hes too slow to react and tbh we're carrying him. Was a big fan in his first few seasons but hes been done for the last two years.
  22. We always get sh** draws. Prem or upper half championship sides. Cant remember the last time we played a league 2 side in the cup (or league 1 for that matter). No doubt somebody will tell me
  23. Krueger? Because you cant surely be blaming Hasenhuttl for the transfer business over the summer. How do you know we didnt look at a number of defenders but the clubs hands were tied due to the inability to shift players surplus to requirements?
  24. Watching the goals again Vestergaard could be forgiven for the first. Hard to judge the ball flight in that wind and it seemed to just take off over his head (thinking Boruc versus Stoke). No excuse for the second though, he doesnt even have a look to see where Barnes is. Pathetic attempt to cut the cross out by Valery and JWP. Third goal was preventable too. Apart from the obvious 12 minute period to forget, i thought we did ok. Burnley just took their half chances and coped with the conditions better. We have obviously struggled at CB but DM is worth a mention too. Romeu and JWP is a pish poor midfield duo which just doesnt work. Romeu is too slow and JWP too lighweight. If only we had the luxury of being able to use Danso there because we need somebody just like him - physical, doesnt get bullied, great workrate, defends first. Romeu showed glimpses two years ago but on the most part we've really missed Wanyama and Spiderman
  25. Straight into the starting lineup
