Still think Sheff United will be in the relegation mix up come the end of the season. Just shows the state of our recruitment that Long is still an option for us. Hes been poor for a number of years, but outside Ings who else do we have? Still believe that Adams can be a good option, just needs a goal or two (and some luck) to get his confidence back. You can apply the same poor recruitment to our defence (still relying on Yoshida and Stephens) and midfield (Romeu). The new recruitment expert (whoever that may be) and Matt Crocker have their work cut out going forward

Get off your PL high horse. Im not comparing it to other leagues, im simply stating that teams outside the top 4 have been very inconsistent this season. That is proven by the current 5th place team averaging less than 1.5 points per game

In all honesty, the standard of the league is poor outside the top 4. Everybody can beat each other on their day. For this reason, i refuse to believe we are as doomed as some would make out. Yes im struggling to pick three teams worse than us at present, but that might change after our next 5 games

Definitely a confidence thing for Hoj and who hes playing with. Came on for Denmark during the week, was breaking the play up and looked very composed on the ball

Disappointed we conceded late....again, but it was a hugely improved performance. Hopefully RH persists with 4 at the back now we have both first choice full backs fit again. Still optimistic that we can pull ourselves out of this mess if we have the same application going forward. League is still relatively compact outside the top 4. Had we won, we were only 7 points off 6th!!! Yes thats alot of points but a couple of good results and we can move up the table. Next game is massive. May aswell get all the rants out before the weekends over. Two observations 1. The 'We March On' motto on the free scarves. Can we just bin it. Was introduced post the mass exodus of players whenever Koeman took over and held true during his tenure. However its getting embarassing because we've steadily went backwards the last 2.5 years. Delusional by the club not to recognise we arent marching on.....unless its on to the quest channel next year. 2. Would love to know what the most important attributes the 'black box' looks for, because leadership must have been missing from the database. Not one player in that starting lineup yesterday shows any kind of leadership qualities. JWP captain, give me a break. Before him, Hoj or Berty dont strike me as real captain material either. Would love our recruitment going forward to focus on those big characters/leaders as much as the 'unpolished' diamonds we've previously looked to get

What is this fascination about Rohl? People have convinced themselves he was some sort of coaching genius. If he was he would be doing more than video analysis. We would still be in the s*** even if he was here. He was certainly here for the last 6/7 games of last season when we were abysmal

Our centre midfield is league 1 standard at best. Feel for JWP because hes clearly not made for the position, but Romeu who has played there all his career is done, and has been for about 18 months. Too slow, cant pass, gets caught in possession too easy, offers zero protection to the defence. Gets praise on here for the occasional tough tackling, but thats usually making up for being out of position in the first place. He is s**** and would rather we played one of the kids. Least we would get a bit of energy and a player who could cover more than a thirty yard circle in his own half
