Its only a tv programme, lighten up. Yes they're all past it and it looks like an old lads booze up, but the stories of Merson, Ruddock, Hendrie are worth highlighting.
-
Reverse for me, Hoedt is shocking and Vestergaard is average. Least Vestergaard has scored in the right end for us, not to mention Hoedt with two own goals. Just need to cancel his contract and let him leave on a free because nobody will be paying for him

Yeah it was all Ings, nothing to do with the rest of the team or management. Fs give Ralph credit where its due, he was a big factor in that run, particularly picking the players up after the 9-0. Its only fair that he deserves criticism following the recent results. But who could honestly do better with the current group of players. He deserves support and a chance (although likely financially constrained) to build a team in the summer

Makes you question the decision to play Djenepo given his mindset after his mum only passed away. Though who else would we play given the injuries atm
-
We wont be returning to 5 at the back, not with the success Ralph has had with 4-4-2 and 4-2-2-2 and definitely not at home to Newcastle. KWP in at right back, JWP back in the middle alongside PEH. Djenepo in for Armstrong. Simples

Must have hit a nerve, resorting to name calling. You're just raging the saints are staying up
-
Why are you including FA Cup games when making a point about our league status? We've won 2 of our last 5 in the league, 3 of last 7, 4 of last 8. We continue at between 40 to 50% win ratio then we'll be comfortably safe, maybe even mid table
-
We dont have much fight in us. Yet we responded to a horrible start to the season, a 9-0 hammering and sitting 19th in early december by beating Spurs, Chelsea, Leicester, Palace, Villa (twice), Norwich, draws against Palace/Asenal, unlucky not to get something at city. Yeah no fight what so ever

Sober up

And who was actually available in January and not at an inflated price? The window is now a non entity, clubs arent willing to sell unless they can get a replacement and they arent willing to pay over the odds. The only players who moved in the window who were realistic options were Berge (would have given us a good CM option) and Bowen (not a priority given our options)
-
Would happily replace Boufal with Rashica from Bremen. A great young prospect just like Djenepo
-
Dont get the hype around Mings. Ever present in the worst defence in the league. Was all the over the show yesterday and if it wasnt for Reina it could have been embarassing
-
Simple yes or no...Lallana on a free in the summer?
woodsaint replied to SNSUN's topic in The Saints
No thanks -
Who wasnt appalling against Leicester. The same Valery who was getting lavished with praise last season after a run of good performances including scoring against united and spurs, is now completely written off. Just sums this forum up
-
Massive game. Win and we're on the verge on safety, lose and we're still looking over our shoulder.
-
And 3 of the losses....Spurs away, Liverpool away, and Wolves at home. We'll be fine as much as it annoys you
-
Explain our terrible form please. Yes we lost today (terrible we all know) and against Spurs in the cup and the best PL team maybe ever (played quite well in both). However, prior to that we won 6, drew 2 and lost 1 in the previous 9. Its the usual negativity from some on here. Yes we're **** at home but we'll pick up enough points to be comfortably safe
-
Or when the core of the same team managed to dig deep the previous two seasons and stay up
-
Crap weather, just like it was on the first day of the season. Will suit Burnleys style alot more than ours
-
Glad Ralph called it for what it was....great 70 minutes and then switched off, stopped defending well and ultimately it cost us
-
Deserved better, played some great stuff at times. The injuries to RB have cost us this evening. Had Stephens stayed CB we were winning that. One big negative was Romeu. We need a serious upgrade in DM/CM in the summer
-
Getting rid of Yoshida and Cedric has scuppered that? Dont say we could have signed a few either because who was actually available? The only players moving this window who I think would have been realistic for us and good signings were Bowen and Berge. The rest of the window has been garbage for signings
-
Who was also out of contract in the summer and had no intention of staying. Would rather we had a pick of better options in the summer than sign somebody permanently now who is not going to improve us. Being close to safety has determined our activity. No way Cedric was being allowed to leave if we were 19th
