  1. Not sure I buy this free hit thing. We haven't exactly been beating the teams around us recently. Maybe just me but i'd have liked to have seen us be a bit more positive in our team selection.
  2. Hope so. If they beat Brighton and Newcastle that would be great. I doubt the Fulham game will make much difference as they are gone with Huddersfield.
  3. The thing is though Puel seems to have really bad second halves to seasons doesn't he? As they said on TV he got 4 points from the last 21 or something. Losing 5 games. They have a pretty bad end to the season fixture list. Chelsea, City and Arsenal. Can't see them getting anything from them. Like I say I think it is unlikely as I just can't see Cardiff or us putting a consistent run together. But they have Brighton next. If they lose that they could easily be sucked into the scrap. But you would have to think they will beat Huddersfield and get a few draws so would be safe.
  4. It is unlikely but it wouldn't surprise me. They have to play most of the teams below them. If they play like they have in their last 6 PL games they are ****ed. 1 point from 18.
  5. Fulham winning already....
  6. I see they have removed her citizenship now. Personally its situations like that which made me want out of the UK. Someone leaves to go join a horrible bunch of people who want nothing more than to kill as many people as possible, especially non Islamic people. She goes there and through choice marries a terrorist and has his children. They lose the fight they started, the husband is convicted in Holland for a terrorist attack. She shows no remorse and calls attacks on innocent people justified retaliation. But don't worry it was her just being 'silly' and she should be allowed home the liberals say. The only way this ***** should be allowed to go back to the UK is if its to hang her.
  7. I seriously don't get this argument. It is something a couple of people have mentioned in defence now. Overall as a squad we have pretty poor to average players. We all can agree on that? The proof is in the results we have had with the squad over the past few seasons. We are where we are for multiple reasons but one of the main ones is that the players have simply not been good enough. Now if you have a poor squad, you remove players from that squad, you add nobody. How does that make us better exactly? This I can't get my head around at all how people can think that. Getting rid of Hoedt (which I agree with) doesn't make Stephens a better player. Getting rid of Cedric doesn't make Valery a better player. Getting rid of Gabbi doesn't make Long/Austin/Gallagher a better player and so forth. We have a bloated squad, but January is not the time to get rid of players if you have nobody coming in to replace them until the end of the season. We have removed the ability to give us further options if needed. Imagine we didn't have the option of Gabbi for that Swansea game? We would have gone down. The old saying of better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them sums it up for me.
  8. Who knows. But Cedric was in the team when we were having our good spell. He was in the last 4 games prior to being told he was not needed. Gabbi was never given a chance. Did he even start any games under Ralph? If someone said to you right I will swap Valery and Gallagher for your Cedric and Gabbi would you think that was a good trade? As basically that is what happened. I think people forget we struggled last season and survived by the skin of our teeth. Gabbi scored a vital goal which shows he can step up when needed. Doesn't matter if you think any of them are good players. The point is by losing players and not replacing them with adequate replacements is weakening the team. For no reason at all. To do that in January when you are in a relegation scrap is pure madness.
  9. I thought it was another poor performance tbh. We sometimes look really good when we get the ball in our box, get to half way and get to just outside their box. Then we just have no clue what to do and the lack of quality in attack means we mess it up. I didn't understand the managers tactics today either. In the second half Cardiff went 2 up front and left them there. They started to create problems after that. We seemed to stick with our formation which was not working. I like Ralph but I don't understand this love he has for Long. We need someone up there who will do more than just hold the ball up.
  10. I am delighted Austin stayed. I have said that before. For a club in our situation he, Cedric and Gabbi are better to have than to not have. They proved that last season. They are not world class players but for our level they are better than anything else we have. Especially when we have injuries to Ings etc. Like I said before. If the plan was to replace those players then only agree to them going once we have something in place. We didn't have anyone lined up. We ****ed up possibly the most important transfer window we have had in years.
  11. He could have said that for sure but he didn't. RH said in his interview he had told Austin he wouldn't play much and the club were looking for a 'win win' solution for Austin. So it does make sense but it is hypothetical because no bids were accepted for him to decide to stay or go.
  12. He stayed because we didn't accept the loan offers not because he himself turned them down.... If they were transfer fees and matched whatever we valued him at he would have gone. I don't know how to make that any simpler for you?
  13. Thank **** for that.
  14. Do you actually even look at what you are typing? Austin stayed because we wanted a full transfer not a loan. We were trying to sell him....
  15. Bull****. Cedric was on tv having an interview here prior to his debut where he said he was told he didn't feature in the managers plans. He had multiple offers but joined Inter due to supporting them as a kid. Gabbi was told he wouldn't get game time here. He could have left in the summer but stayed to fight for his place in the team. So stop making **** up.
  16. Cedric is better than Valery = improvement on team. Gabbi = better than Long = improvement on team. Hoedt is **** so is no loss. The other two are quality players for a team struggling to survive in the PL. If we were not going to replace those players they should not have left.
  17. If you say so mate. Thankfully you know **** all about football so we don't take you seriously
  18. I thought you said we were stronger now we got rid of all that 'dross'?
  19. Maybe just me but I disagree. JWP should of had a yellow when he held back their player who was breaking. Vester stood in front of their freekick slowing them down which could have been another yellow.
  20. Just lacking that quality going forwards. Keep running into three defenders and losing the ball.
  21. Thought we were poor again to be honest and had a lot of help from the ref again. I kind of feel sorry for Stephens there as he didn't mean to handball it. But if your arms are up and it touches your hand its going to get given. I felt Burnley were the better side, passed better, had better chances, seemed to want it more. We lacked that intensity we have seen in previous games. At the start of the day I would have taken a draw as Burnley are a bastard side to play. Sad to see Ings injured again, hopefully not too bad. If it is Long and Austin are going to have to step up big time.
  22. Cheers Ref! Really helping us out recently!
  23. Awful performance but based on the last 15 mins I think a draw was a fair result. Motm has to be the ref. Gave us everything. They get slated a lot by us but he did a great job by not sending off a couple of our players.
  24. Ref is doing us a lot of favors in this game thankfully. Probably should have been a player down.
  25. Nope, he will remain Austin. Not the best striker in the world. But someone who can score goals now and then and useful to a team 4th to bottom of the league. Which we are.
