  1. 2 wins from 17. Worst first 11 games to a season in our history. Total fraud of a manager. Can't even do the basics right. We have a poor team but it doesn't help when you have a manager picking players in wrong positions rather than change formation. One of the worst managers I can remember.
  2. Come on Che, time to get your first goal!
  3. Was nobody marking him at rb?
  4. Get in there!! Who knew if you play more attacking players you might attack more? Boufal been great since he came on.
  5. Even under MP2 we were better. We rarely won but we didn't lose as often either. I could be wrong but in the last 16 games under MP2 and MH they had a higher points total than RH has from his last 16. The players we have are not good, no doubt about it. But a decent manager with potential to go to a higher club should be getting more out of them. He looks seriously out of his depth in the PL.
  6. They are useless no doubt about it. But the formation and team selection imo doesn't help.
  7. Hasntaclue strikes again
  8. Great defending first half. Romeu been a beast
  9. We played 4-3-2-1 with Lemina and Hoj sitting just above the defence https://www.skysports.com/football/man-city-vs-soton/teams/390863
  10. Sacking the manager won't make us a better team. We won't go from poor to amazing even with Pep in charge. But I don't understand some of the thinking going on here. Most of the players are internationals. Some have won trophies elsewhere. Ralph himself has got far better results with basically the same team. If the players are the main problem then its the managers job to drop those who are not performing. You say those players above wouldn't make us better but in truth they wouldn't make us worse neither. As they pointed out on tv when 10 play 11 most of the time it becomes harder for the 11. Because they give up on attacking and simply defend. Brighton vs Bompey ended 2-1 with an early red. Burnley vs Everton was 1-0 with a 50th min red. Us vs Spurs was 2-1 with a 30 mins red. Watford vs Arsenal was 0-1 with a 10th min red And in some cases teams with 10 men can still win Burnley Leicester was 1-2 after a 4th min red Point being even with 11 men we looked like we would get mauled. Sacking Ralph won't cure our problems. But it could cure some of them. Playing players out of position, ultra negative tactics, constantly picking players who are out of form and not giving anyone else a chance. Tactics wise we set up to try and keep the teams out. But how many goals are scored quite early? Yesterday 12th min Chelsea 17th min Bompey 10th min Spurs 20th min Utd 10th min In the Spurs game he waited until the 80th minute to make any changes. 50 mins after they were playing with 10 men. Then eventually brought on Long in the 89th min. So when we set up as we do and that early goal goes in as it does in almost every game our whole defensive set up makes it near impossible to get back into the game. I don't blame Ralph for everything but every manager in this league would love a perfect squad with every player they want. That is pure fantasy and a **** excuse. Before the start of the season would you say Sheff Utd, Villa, Brighton etc had better squads than us? Sheff Utd and Burnley imo are a fine example of good managers getting the best out of average players. The same could be said of Howe and various others. Ralph isn't getting any of the players playing above themselves, has strange tactics, even stranger delayed reactions to in match events. Crazy late subs and starting line-ups which quite frankly are pathetic and ooze capitulation before a ball has even been kicked. There is no positivity there at all. He himself said he authorised the signings of the players this summer. How many started recent games? As Ings was here last year you can't really count him. So the answer is zero. If he get's sacked it won't be because we lost 0-9, it will be because he has a 13% win ratio over the past 15 pl games.
  11. Mate we have won two of our last 15 pl games. It isn't a recent issue it's something that's been going on awhile. One of my main gripes about Ralph is he seems so slow to react to make tactical changes. The players have let him down for sure but if you keep picking the same ones who are playing poor and you keep getting poor results that's 100% on the manager. Maybe it's just me but the bare minimum I expect is to at least try. The sides he keeps selecting look like they can't be arsed.
  12. On the positive side it really can't get worse than that. Right?
  13. Can't see Ralph surviving this one tbh. It hasn't been good for a very longtime now. Especially at home.
  14. Good managers get average/poor players playing above themselves. Look at Sheff Utd, Dyche etc. In terms of the selection I'd agree with the commentator. Even if we had creative good players the manager would still set up the same. Boufal has been better than jwp imo, Armstrong hasn't had a chance and I would give him a go ahead of Hoj. Negative set up and another negative result. Even before the red they looked like they would comfortably beat us.
  15. ****ing pathetic.
  16. If I remember rightly the Chelsea game we set up 4-3-3? With Romeu just in front of the two CB and Hoj/JWP in mid. But from the kick off Hoj came further back and jwp seemed to be helping out around the RB/Wing area? Obviously we are not Citeh and we have average to poor players. But we have let in a **** load of goals this season (only 2 have worst GA) and for me I think a large part of that is down to the lack of midfield.
  17. Couldn't disagree more. We have a **** defence. But having 10 outfield defenders wouldn't solve it. If you set up negatively you more than often get a negative result. We have been playing the same style/formation for a long time now and it just isn't working. Winning 2 games out of 14 is MP2 levels.
  18. Problem is we haven't been winning at all. Last 14 PL games we have a win ratio of just 14% (2 wins). If he puts out the 5 at the back and 2 DM again I can't see anything more than a draw at best tbh.
  19. Wake the **** up defence
  20. So you don't remember jwp playing in defence for those games?
  21. Same ****ty formation it is then
  22. As someone earlier mentioned his numbers don't make for good reading. Last win at home in league was 13th April. Only one win at home since march. Only two wins in the last 13 league games and only 10 points from last 39 on offer. That means from 14th April to today he has a 15% win ratio in the league. That is MP2 type numbers. My main gripe with him is that he doesn't change tactics when they are not working and instead keeps doing the same-thing. When we need to change things we just plod on. He doesn't make effective subs at all. But at the end of the day as crap as he is being right now he can only use what is available to him. The squad overall is poor and is going to take a few more windows to sort out. Maybe a better manager would get more out of them but I don't think it is a gamble worth taking. I think the change that needs to happen isn't getting rid of him. But changing the formation and set up. We need to be more positive and have more bodies forwards. If we are going to have two DM's then remove a defender and put an attacking player on.
  23. That is one of his **** traits for sure.
  24. What a strange goal and injury.
