Without a doubt his worst performance today.

He did very well there. But if he messed that pass up he would of been slated. It was an easy pass. Mane takes the credit for that goal. Went exactly where it needed to go. JWP played well but so did everyone in my opinion. When it was 11 vs 11 it was not as great.

The squad we have right now will not finish in the top 10. Teams below us have strengthened (Stoke, Villa, Palace, Newcastle, WBA etc) where as we have been weakened. Tadic has been there just not being picked. Mane has not looked the same this season. Same as Wanyama. Cedric and Clasie hopefully will do better. We need to get in some quality first team players not squad players. We really need some creativity. A

Was at the game and like everyone else just gutted about it. Its not that we lost, I can handle that. It is the way we played, the attitude of everything. We set up so negative that it is no surprise that the performance was negative too. The players we have brought in so far have been mostly terrible. Culkar, Martina, Romeu add nothing to the team. They are just bodies. The board have gone very quiet the past few months and need to make a statement of intent. By this I mean bring in some quality players who are going to go straight into the first team. We have been here before where we had too many average players rather than star quality and that didn't end well.

It's a bit harsh to single him out as such but he is a large part of our problem. Someone mentioned what about Davis above and that is just wrong. Davis is a defensive midfielder. His job is to break up their play and get the ball to a creative player. For a large part he did that job. He even did some good attacking moves, even going on a run past a couple of players and then getting the ball out to our WB's. He did alright. JWPs job is to be a creative midfielder. To set up attacks, get crosses into the box, get the ball to an attacker, take shots etc. He didn't do that. And he has not done that all season. When you only have three creative players on the pitch you cannot afford for any of them to be having an off game. JWP didn't have an off game, he had his normal level of game. I no longer buy the "young" defence. All good players when they are young show flashes of brilliance. You know they will be a good player. JWP has not done that for me. He is actually partially at fault for their goal as he tried to close a player down and got nutmegd. Jay was to blame for that goal but JWP should of stood his ground. He also did possibly the worst corner I have ever seen by playing it short, getting the return ball then losing it allowing them to counter. On another day Target could of been off for the tackle. When JWP does have the ball he doesn't do much with it. You won't see him take it in his stride and dribble with it. Try to gain some yards on the pitch. He doesn't possess the speed or trickery to take a player on. He knows that. So what he does is stops with the ball. Looks up, to the left/right and will either play a side short ball or a hoof towards Pelle. There are no diagonal racking balls that Morgan used to do. No clever through balls. It is very predictable. Nearly every long ball he did went behind Pelle instead of ahead of him and as the game drew on you could clearly see this was getting to Pelle as he had a right go at him. At the end of the day it isn't the lads fault as if you are picked then you play. It isn't that he doesn't want to do well for us as he clearly does. Its just he doesn't have the current ability to play that role. When Tadic came on he did what we should of done the entire game. Have someone who has the ability to run at players. Have the confidence to run at someone and some cases take a hit, draw a foul. That is one of the best abilities Mane has. He is un-predictable and this causes him to be fouled a lot. Players who can get into the penalty box and create something. We have nobody in the centre who can do that. No Silva or Cazorla type players. In my view we need a big central attacking midfielder in this window. If you don't create chances you won't score and JWP simply isn't creating chances. He isn't really adding anything to the team. He doesn't have a talent that when he isn't playing we miss it. That is the sad truth of it. The more he plays and adds nothing the more people notice it and will criticise it. That in itself will have a bad impact on his development.

Didn't les say the same thing last year? I recall him saying the players were under contract and we expect them to honour them? At the end of the day we have let probably more first teamers go in the past 12 months then any other top flight team. I don't think anyone is annoyed we lost them, more annoyed we lost them all in such a short space of time.

A point is ok. But the way we played was terrible. I think only Fonte played well. Hoof ball, way too defensive. No quality at all. If we play like that against the top 10 teams we will get destroyed.

Can't really be angry about it as I think it could of been a lot worse. We made so many mistakes and thankfully they were not punished. In the PL they would have been. AFter the first 45mins i'd have taken a draw. My concern is we have turned into a long ball side now. No real cutting talent in the midfield. Defenders launch it and hope Pelle can nod it on to someone. Target and JWP launched it whenever they got the chance. The free flowing cut through teams style has gone. Les Reed said that all transfer fees would be re-invested in the team so I have no doubt we will bring in some more players. The season is young and the new players need time.

Not at all. What is idiotic is someone having to use an alt account to reply to me (Halos). As **** as you may think my opinion is that is far worse. Maybe I should make 10 accounts and have them all agree with me..... I simply don't think he made us stronger, that is my view (based on the fact we still got done in the middle of the pitch). They all played bad and we have time to put it right. Time will tell if he becomes a good defensive midfielder or not.

It isn't a debate is it. You are doing the whole if I shout louder I must have the better opinion thing. I honestly don't think he shored up our midfield in the way you are claiming. We still got done from the middle. Is that not correct? Did they no longer get through from the middle in the second half? That isn't saying it is his fault. He made one interception and made no tackles. What he did well was his passing.

see below Like I said it is a game of opinions. People are saying we blocked them from playing through the middle once he came on (S Clarke). That isn't right. Look at the third goal. They still had clear chances from the middle. That isn't down to Romeu it is down to the whole team playing badly. Wanyama had a worse game. Which is rare for him. If we totally forget the first half and look at the second half on its own would you say our central midfield was better then theirs? They stopped us playing, we didn't stop them. They limited us to having crosses from our RB and LB where as they powered their way through the middle. Less so in the second half but they still did it. They had three clear chances from the middle in the second half of which they scored one. It was better but not great as Clarke is trying to imply. If that was our performance for the rest of the season we would get stuffed most weeks. Then back up your opinion. Show me an un-biased report backing up what you are claiming? I have shown stats and media opinion to show not all share yours as you try and claim.

Their third goal came from the middle. Neysmith received a pass from the middle and should of scored. All the player ratings of the matches have him as a 5 or a 6. Guess they were not at the game either.

No it didn't we still looked crap. They still had lot's of shots and scored a goal. Can laugh at my comment all you want but we didn't look any better with him on the pitch. That isn't saying he is to blame because he isn't. The whole team played poor before he came on and continued to play poor when he came on. Football is a game of opinions but most of those who I left the game with seemed to share mine. Maybe he looked better on TV. I would go back and watch the game but i'd rather die than watch that crap again.

Thought he was ****. Poor challenges and easily passed by. He was trying too hard. Needs to calm down and play naturally.

Our replacements look a bit **** so far. Early days and can't write anybody off but I worry our balance is all wrong. Probably the worst performance I've seen under RK so far. Fair play to Everton they played well and looked like a team where as we looked like a bunch of individuals. The only player I thought did well was Pelle. The rest were poor. Especially Davis, Fonte, Yos and Romeu. RK needs to get in a quality CB now. With the £100m or so we have made in the last 12 months sure we can afford it.

He created a lot of chances including the cross for the second goal that was inch perfect.

Mane should of scored at least one of those chances, terrible finishing. Overall happy with a point considering we were total **** for large parts of the game. Tadic or Davis motm for me.
