Open goal....

On a more positive note I think Romeu has been our best player today. Done very well thus far.
-
Redmond /facepalm
-
The old Schlong is back then
-
Redmond is getting done too many times.
-
First 20 mins we were very good i thought. Redmond has been utter **** again so far though.

We beat them in the cup and drew there in league last season (not Highbury obviously now). And thrashed them at ours. We do alright against them in the past.

The thing is a lot has changed at the club which isn't just about players who left and those who we have brought in. Time will tell if those players can be at the level of those replaced. But we have lost a very good manager and replaced him with someone who has only managed in one country. Add to that the system that has made us successful in previous seasons has now been changed. We will see if the clubs decisions turn out to be the right moves or not. Three games in isn't the right time to judge it either way.

Sorry if I have missed the info he posted as there is a lot of pages to go through. But what info did he say? I mean specific info other than 'we are trying to sign someone' etc as anyone can say that. I'm not itk but I would hazard a guess we might get someone in before the deadline and as he signed for us we were in the driving seat. He is an outfield player who can play in a few positions. They were impressed with our set-up and felt this was the best place to progress their careers. And so on.

Last season we had the same points yes but I think a big difference was that in some of those games we were unlucky not to win them. We played some really good stuff and looked a threat. These past few games I think we have been lucky. We didn't deserve to win any of them. We played pretty poorly and people are rightly wondering where the goals will come from. The way we play has changed. Will it work? Who knows. But one thing is for sure the closer we get to deadline day the more desperate we will be.

Ward no talent Prowse to be the saviour...
-
I don't understand why Fonte did that. He is so experienced. Doesn't need to hook his leg like that.
-
I saw the replays, even the commentators said he was offside....
-
They were offside, every one of them.
-
Shocking defending there.
-
Does Austin know what the offside rule is?
-
Romeu, Redmond and Austin have been ****ing gash

Pity it was not Roma as literally 10 min walk for me. But will try and get Milan tickets!

What you are suggesting would mean you believe the club has very little month to month actual cash? It is very true that our transfer dealings could be structured in monthly payments over xyz years. That way we don't have much actual cash from the deals up front. But on the other hand our dealings can go the same way. We can buy players on monthly payments too. What is certain is that the tv money is released periodically and the league money released at the end of the season. Add to that the new sponsorship deals etc. If we look at the last two financial statements we see we announced profits of £33.5m two years ago. £13m last year and I would expect another profit for the past financial year probably in the same region as the first. I doubt our cash flow is that bad that we need a loan. In fact you can find the answer in the previous statement "the Group’s future debt position has increased due to previous investment commitments. However, through strong financial governance this figure has come in lower than anticipated, and there is a robust plan in place to oversee an on-going reduction of this debt". Question is what was that investment. Training ground perhaps.
