Couldn't disagree more. Especially with the controlling games comment. In that game the other day I think the TV pundit made a great point in regards to his bad miss. It's OK to miss those chances when you're winning and the other team never look like scoring. But saying it was 1-0 how would that have been looked at? And that is jwp all over Imo. His opta rating right now sees him 16th in our squad.

Best possible time to play them away. They are shocking. 1 point from their last 21 on offer. 1 win at home all season. Letting in an average of 2 goals a game already! Possibly the worst defence there is right now. Add to that the manager under pressure and the crowd ****ed off. If we score early they will turn on the team and we could go on and score a ton of goals. I think even Jay and jwp could score against that lot! Obviously no games in the pl are gimmees but this one is as close to it as you will get. 0-4 to Saints!

Really great performance. Thought they never looked like scoring at all. We put them under pressure every chance we got. Davis or Bertrand would be my motm. Not sure who I would like in the next round. A Liverpool Saints final with us destroying them would be the dream!

Wow you really are a bit of a knob aren't you? Why the hostility? I will explain my point again then seeing as maybe I need to make it a bit more simpler for you to understand. Central midfielders = not creating much. Too similar players playing in the middle. Wingers = Not creating enough clear cut chances for either themselves or the strikers. Hence the lack of assists and goals. How to improve on that = Don't play Clasie/Hojberg/Romeu and Davis in the same positions. Put someone on who is more attack minded (not jwp). Better?

My point was that Tadic is our main provider and the others are not doing as much. Redmond is doing ok but we need more. Goals table assists table In regards to the key passes etc and comparing Redmond to Hazard that is quite interesting. In terms of numbers you would think Redmond and Hazard were pretty similar. As you mention Hazard has an average of 2 per game while Redmond has 1.9. Do you think however that Redmond makes/creates as much with those Passes as Lamela and Hazard?

Pretty much agree with what you have said. But I think the problem is a lot deeper than that. Last night we had 3 shots on target. Granted they were not good shots but they were counted either way. 1 Of those shots was from Mcqueen and one from Clasie. The other was Austin. Now having a look at Opta we are not creating chances at all. Austin and Redmond both average 2 shots per game as does Tadic. We have a grand total of 3 assists this season. That is pathetic. One from a corner, one from a free kick and one from a through ball. To put that into some kind of perspective in the assist table we are bottom. We would need to double that just to get to 18th in that table. The top team (Liverpool) have 25. Only 2 of those were from set pieces. The question is how have we gone from a free flowing team that could create multiple chances and put a lot of them away. To a team that passes around the half way line, back to the defence and then have no clue how to get the ball forwards? Personally I think it is down to having too many similar players in midfield. Hojberg, Clasie, Romeu and Davis all basically do the same thing. None of them are really creators. That leaves JWP as the one to be the creator. The problem is he can't do that. He averages 0.5 key passes a game. Our top player (Tadic) has an average of 3. Redmond, Long, Austin and Boufal have a total of under 3 between them. Which shows Tadic is having to be the main guy. Which means it is no surprise we fail to create anything when he doesn't play. Nobody else has his ability on the ball and then actually come up with an end product. Right now I feel our tactics is to ultimately not lose the game. Keep tight and maybe hit on the counter. The problem is once we go behind that tactic goes out the window. And as of yet I have not seen anything to suggest we have a plan B. It is all too predictable. The subs who come on do the same job as those who they replace. A defensive midfielder for a defensive midfielder. A slow attacker for a slow attacker. Our options are very limited in how to change a game. Basically we failed to recruit players anywhere near the standard of the ones we lost this summer. Add to that the average ones from the season before and you have a makings of a very average team.

Prowse and Jay have been horrific. Shame Tadic isn't available as this is the type of game he could do something in.

At the end of the day a point and a clean sheet against the in form team is a decent result. However we never really threatened them and never looked like taking a shot let alone a goal. We seriously lack creativity and goal threat and that will catch up with us eventually.

Not sure what Puel can do now tbh. Inter will sit back and mass defend so we can probably lose one of the defensive minded midfielders. I'd take Hojberg or JWP off for Boufal. And take Jay off as he just can't get in the games these days. It seemed a strange one to start him imo. Tadic will want to do something now so I will leave him on. When he wants to he can rip defences apart. Just need someone who can take a chance and right now that is Austin.

Nope. They are a bit of a laughing stock over here right now. I think they won once in 8 league games or something like that. The annoying thing for me is that they don't score many goals at all so tonight marks an excellent chance for us to get a result. But sadly we don't score many either. We really need someone in jwp position who can chip in with some goals and assists.

I'll only believe it's happening when AR10 says it isn't happening.
