It depends in which context you mean. Mine was about selling key players who contributed to whatever was achieved the season before. If we are saying roulette in that sense Arsenal, Liverpool, Spuds, Citeh etc. If you are implying buying players then everyone. No signing is a guarantee of improvement. In regards to managers I don't think you can say Pep or Jose are a gamble as you know exactly what you will be getting. Managers who have won basically everything there is to win. So like I say it depends on the context. Can you name another club that has sold as many key players as we have and gone on to succeed?

Of course I agree. But he wanted to stay for the final year and Les didn't want him to unless he signed a new deal. Personally I'd have kept him on for that final season and see what happens. He could have had is eye elsewhere and not put the same effort in. Or could have thought if I do well I may get a big job. We will never know. But it was Les' decision to let him go this season that cannot be denied.

I don't think it was down to money all on its own really. Didn't he want to take the club forward ie spend a load of cash? I think I remember him saying he didn't want to have to keep selling and rebuilding every summer. Personally if they did that at my company I'd want out too. Stability is key to success. If you take risks you can get rewards, but it can also go the other way. You play roulette you will eventually lose.

I think Sunderland are gone. Palace are almost gone. The last place I can really see being Leicester. Kinda hope it isn't as would much rather it was Hull to be honest.

Perfect game for us. Excellent result and moves us up some places in the table. I do feel kinda sorry for Sunderland fans as they have been by far the worst team I have seen for a longtime. The next few months are going to be horrific for them. Where as we will be at Wembley!

I think this guy is/was a decent player but he is made of glass. To me this deal just shows how badly our transfer policy has been implemented recently. We are searching around for anyone who we can bring in on a free and obviously Caceres is up there with the better ones available. However he has been without a club for 6 months (even though Juve said in April he is free to leave). Has not played in a year and on top of that he is a bit of a nutjob. IF we can get him fit and IF he can avoid injuries then he would be a decent signing. He played RB just as much as CB for Juve so he can play multiple positions which is a bonus. But as reported he wants a massive wage to sign for someone. Some say its £100k a week. If that is the type of money we will be paying him then it is beyond stupid. He is a massive gamble. Which brings me to Fonte. If he wanted a bigger contract why sell him in January? I have no doubt Fonte would have been professional and put in a shift just as others have who were to move on at the end of the season. He was the captain and knew the club/players. He rarely got injured and chipped in with some goals here and there. It was a gamble to sell Fonte without a replacement lined up, and its another gamble in signing this guy. For a club that repeatedly tells us how they have everything planned out it is a strange decision making process that has led us to pin our hopes on someone who has not signed with anyone else in 10 months whilst being free.

Had his eye on what he can sell rather than what can make us better. I think he has done a poor job this season and the whole Fonte thing was the last straw for me. The sad thing is he really does believe we have the best midfield in the league. Add to that a chairman who does **** all.

Mancini and De boer are free. I'd take one of those over Puel for sure until the end of the season.

Not at all. The difference is we have been playing poor since November. You base your predictions off of hope, we all want to win. But if you lose 50% of your games logic says chances are you are not that good. When you get beat by Palace, Burnley, Hull, Swansea etc I think saying "we will beat xyz easily" is delusion. You and Always have been wrong for a very very longtime. But it isnt about what is right or wrong it is about judging what you see. 7 defeats in our last 8, 3 points from the last 24 etc tells me we are not as good as you say we are. I don't mean to be critical of you as you want the club to win just as I do. But we are a very poor team with a poor manager so is it surprising we are in freefall?
