I met MLT briefly just before the start of last season, he turned up to wish a friend's son happy 18th birthday, and what a top bloke he was for doing it. This is monumentally depressing, and all that keeps springing to my mind is, we were too good to drop out of the prem. But we did. We were odds-on favourites to go straight back up. And we didnt. We couldn't even contemplate dropping out of the Championship, but we managed to do it, and as if that weren't bad enough, with the Royal flush of a 10-point deduction. Now we're all assuming that Saints are too big a club not to be bought out of admin, notwithstanding the financial hurricane currently f*cking the global economy, and I'm starting to wonder whether the emperor actually has any clothes:(
