Thats just not the case. Following that logic, we can get to Winchester in ten minutes on the M3, is that part of "Solent City" as well? Southampton and Portsmouth are two different cities, geographically and culturally.

What else would you expect from the portsmouth news? A hate-filled rant about the scummers? Thats like suggesting the daily echo would run a "rejoice, rejoice" front page every time the skates get hammered. I'd be more interested in what the skate fans themselves were saying, and I'll bet it wasnt warm and congratulatory.

incidentally, I was in Petersfield earlier this week and noticed a Portsmouth FC football course signposted at a private junior school. I suppose paul hart took the team along to pick up some tips from the under-10s
