And how long MOG does it take you to identify a problem and react and make the necessary changes to influence the outcome? IMO JP had about 30mins and made the wrong decision at HT by bringing on Dyer when perhaps Gillet was showing signs of over-confidence. Never made a mistake in managing your 'multi-million' pound contracts? If you have may I suggest most typists use spellcheck.

Unbelievable the air of negativity. What is there to reflect on? A team who played some great football for 44mins and the against the run of play gave away a penalty at the worse possible time. They then came out and in my view tried too hard to make amends and started to get a bit to fancy especially McGoldrick and failed to use Holmes enough. JP made one error with bringing on Dyer when we should have brought on Cork for Gillet and moved Surman into midfield, still Burley never got a sub right despite his 16 years of success? Their inexperience beat them yesterday not their potential and the only thing this team needs is actually time to gel and how often have we heard that term applied to a team of experienced individuals? If you want to point a finger then Gillet had a poor game and showed signs of over-confidence but hardly surprising given the time he has waited for his opportunity and how well he has played so far this season. A quiet word from his manager will suffice unlike boos from the crowd and manic arm waving and screaming at incomplete passes etc, from our so called supporters. Wilde was stupid to suggest in yesterday's programme that our target should be the playoffs. IMO our target was never more than to keep the bailiffs from the door and improve on our finishing position last year. To be fair to Wilde in his next sentence he said we should keep our feet planted firmly on the floor and not get carried away with unrealistic expectations which of course he is correct so how he feels that correlates with an unrealistic target of a play-off place I'm not sure but it was bordering on the level of ****e Crouch was spinning last season. I have seen enough to suggest that this team can consolidate it's position in the CCC which given where we were 5 months ago would be a god send. In terms of contributions from Skacel and Euell then the best they could do would ask the club to release them from their contracts so we could make good use of the 30k a week this would give us. Its in part thanks to players of their ilk we got into this mess in the first place yet we happy to give them time to gel although not players more skillful and with a 100% more hunger and just less experience with. It appears a lot of our fans need to use the international break to reassess their own mind-numbing contribution to the cause not anyone working at the club. Where were the missing 15,000 yesterday from the Sheff Utd game. Only happy to come along when there is an opportunity to witness the club's complete demise and really give you something to moan about I presume. I hope it doesn't come to it but it says a lot for our community when the fans only come out when its nearly too late or otherwise hide away and spout their negative bile towards a bunch of talented youngsters trying to build a future for this club and for you as fans.

You only mentioned it 4 times in your column. what was it a slow news day? Seriously, Daren get over yourself this club as what 30k fans who must have come to see the team play at some stage over the past few years. How many of that 30,000 have family who are coping with serious or grave illnesses if not themselves. If the club acted on all their requests do you think we would ever be able to fit a football match in. With the greatest respect what makes your situation so special over all those other cases? Is it because you write an article in the local rag and you therefore give yourself some zzzz-list celebrity status and expect a touch of red carpet treatment? IMO your stance is pathetic as a supposed journo supporting our local team. Focus your attention on your personal situation and keep your bile towards the club to yourself, its not warranted.

Wes no one likes a smart arse so why do you continue to respond with your witless and 'clever' remarks and draw attention to yourself further by using your now infamous shade of blue text.? You accuse me of providing opinion but I see little else in your less than reasoned responses. Again you choose to avoid the real valid issues I have raised instead choosing to concentrate on a little personal point scoring. There are many fans of many clubs hoping for a takeover or cash injection into their club as their benfactors have decided to move on for whatever reason. You are clearly in this lie back and hope camp as was Crouch. I prefer to put my faith in positive action and trying to address the situation for ourselves. Relying on sugar daddies is only sustainable until the cash runs out. You appear to agree with his but prefer to sit in that camp as it 'may' bring unity. HELLO, it will only bring administration sitting and waiting and even if we did find the golden goose our fickle fans would soon be looking to roast it. Anyone who is willing to inject their own money into a football club seems to lose their business senses that earned their wealth in the first place or they get out before its too late. You watch Ashley at Newcastle, very shrewd to have earned his wealth and yet that shrewdness has seem to have deserted him but it will return and it will be goodbye Newcastle. Nickh made some very relevant comments regarding Lowe and relegation and you Wes Baby make the worse contradiction of all prefering to shower praise on the management team and players for our good start without recognition to the chairman but blame him for our relegation without culpability being assigned to the players and managers. Wes you are not as smart as you like to think you are, in fact you are somewhat tedious and I doubt even your wife enjoys your lay back and wait for something good to happen approach to life. ...and finally, I know many people who have part-time jobs and work very hard for their employers. Some even hold down 2 part-time jobs successfully and its somewhat insulting to suggest a person who only works part-time is not capable of working hard. Wes, stop showing yourself up - your embarrassing yourself.

It is arrogant folly to suggest Lowe has been a dismal failure in the past 5 years. It is not his fault a campaign was started in the false hope that the grass would be any greener under a different regime. The arrogance of the fans and misplaced hatred of Lowe and desire to rid the club of his presence was both ignorant and stupid and I suggest we would not be in the position we are today if Lowe had not been forced to resign as chairman originally. Certainly, recent events suggest that this theory does have some grounding when you consider the performance of the various regimes in the intervening two years. Fans who expect board directors to invest their own money into the club are acting like spoilt little brats. Why should directors pour money into any club with no hope of a return on their just because director's of other clubs do? It is that sort of mindset that has got football into the mess it is in today. A business whose survival relies on the contribution from 'sugar daddies' is not exactly sustainable and if we are heading for recession as all indicators seem to suggest then the likes of Bournemouth, Luton and Rotherham will merely be the tip of the iceberg as cash-strapped businessman reign in their contributions to their 'hobbies'. Of course we will need to sell off one or two rising stars that is what makes this club sustainable especially whilst we have a percentage of fickle fans who stay away merely because some suits working hard on our behalf occupy a place in the offices at SMS. Rightly, they take a wage and why not if they work hard at delivering a self-funded club that can stand as a business in its own right without unreliable and consistent donations from businessmen whose wealth is determined by the economy of this or there own country, why shouldn't they be paid handsomely. Surely, a self funded club is something to be proud of than getting something for 'nothing'? Although that 'nothing' may actually result in a big something like administration if those who donate choose to withdraw. What impact will a new cold war with Russia have on their new ecomony? I doubt Roman was overly pleased with Putin's comments as a large percentage of their gas production is to supply the west which in the event of a cold war maybe the gas taps would be turned off along with the revenue for those who supply it? An extreme example but even the those with the deepest pockets are prone to a need to 'cut their cloth' occassionally and if you've been their prostitute supplying their kicks for a few years then you will suffer from their withdrawal. We are in a weakened position but Lowe has proven again that his way is the right way and it was the arrogance of the fans and those who campaigned so vociferously for his removal who have been shown to be the arrogant and ignorant ones and unlike Lowe are now unwilling to bury the hatchet and deliver a future for this club without bleating about and wishing for unsustainable charity from those with a well earned wealth. Anti-Lowe = anti-club.

Nice? Nice fosters cosiness and irritation. You need to widen your horizons a little Top Gun nice guys finish last and I've never met a nice statesman. Seems to me nice nice promotes a somewhat sterile and dare I suggest a boring forum for discussion? I'll leave you and your thoroughly nice fellow debaters for another day. Greenridge - your words must always be as powerful as your silence would have been. I don't need to gloat over the obvious progress this club is making under lowe.
-
Try taking some of your lunch out. Fridges needs some air in them to function properly. Also remove all your diet coke 2L bottles, its a myth diet drinks help you lose weight they actually make you crave more sugary snacks. Gym membership + eat less = fully functioning fridge. Your cats? They are just using you for a bit of mild amusement.

A message from Baj's little army. Perhaps I can adapt a quote from Martin Luther King as it appears to be relevant in this context. 'The pro-Lowes great stumbling block in the stride towards success and self-reliance is not the flat cap fans and their shepherds but the moderators who are more devoted to order than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a postive peace which is the presence of justice' Scooby's views are as relevant to any other poster and threatening him with infractions because he avoids the flat cap preference for calling a spade a spade does not make him worthy of your threats anymore than those who sit on the same perfect side of the fence as you. Message received?

How much longer can Stu hold out for before he coughs up a fiver?

Anyone thought that Baj may have engineered this crash? Just a thought. -
Nick, I'm neither cheap nor skate, merely exercising my personal choice. £5 only to be banned because my views don't conform to those of the democratic directors of the TSW Ltd or to defend my opinion in the face of insults and abuse from the rabid anti-lowe crew and quasi-intelligentsia with a penchant for posting witless 'remarks' in coloured ink. The price is immaterial, the principal - priceless.

Bizarrely, for one so unpopular about 170. Most of these are the twisted souls who seem to go into meltdown than respond coherently to my posts. Whatever makes you tick I guess.
-
Two schools of thought: 1) They didn't have an expert chairman with same experience and strategies as one R Lowe. 2) Did Leon Crouch become their Chairman after he left us?
-
JFP I think the answer to your question is obvious. Foxy may I congratulate you on an excellent post. It was very difficult to argue against the points you made as you managed to pitch our situation perfectly. I guess that is why the usual suspects chose not to respond with their repetitive, pious and self-righteous 'arguments'. The only thing we can be sure of is that the likes of John Wesley Tender will bore us with his tedious insults in his misplaced belief that he can rubbish our opinions with what he believes superior intellect, when the only thing we can be certain of is that he will never offer a minority opinion of his own. It will be interesting going forward as he always takes the majority view (gets a buzz from his perceived 'supporters') but having long campaigned against pro-Lowe fans who now seem to be sitting in the camp with the majority it will be interesting to see how this hypocrite, in particular, swings. Pious, Wesley? Absolutely - you watch JFP. Roman, childish threats of concrete boots? You need to stop playing on your xbox or wherever it is you got such an embarrassing imagination.
-
ooh Trousers , you smoked me out. Perhaps it's the inane unchecked drivel from the likes of Wes Tender that has bored me into a sense of idleness. Wes you may feel I am an easy target but your air of superiority wins you little respect and I suspect bores most people rigid. Any sight of blue text has me at least reaching for the log out link. It may be just me but your level of self righteousness and your overbearing, supercilious and pious style has actually become 100% worse since the changes to the forum. People may not like my views but at least my posts sparked debate and not narcolepsy. You really ought to try supporting the club for a chnage. Roman, I haven't forgotten you but suffice to say I'm doing very well in the current circumstances and don't need you on my Christmas Card list just yet.
-
In summary: In order for the club to achieve, you all need to believe. Time to let bygones be bygones and recognise the positive u-turn that Wilde and Lowe have instigated after the disastrous course of the previous two years. In these two we have much to be grateful for and much to learn. :smt039

And who do you think has sown the seeds for hope this season. Did Poortvliet and the determination to rely on youth to support the culling of expensive journeyman happen by pure chance? You're looking forward to the new season? Good but try and recognise who has orchestrated that or are you pilloried for all damnation for your past mistakes - perceived or otherwise. New forum same tune I see from some.
