    Cheats

They are in my experience especially in the role of defender vs attacker and vice versa at set pieces. Backing in and planting a 'firm heel' on your opponents toes is a good one and goes easily unnoticed and may give you a bit of extra time and space over your marker. Same as shirt holding, low around the waist line, restricts movement both forward and up and easily done on the ref's blind side. They all do it and it's not self-taught it's deliberate and coached as part of the 'game' IMO. Is it any different than the verbal abuse that goes on at the crease in cricket in an attempt to unsettle the batsman? Perhaps we should have microphones concealed in the goalposts and around the pitch. Cheating, is fair game until something is done about it but you would end up with fewer players on the pitch than off it, if you took the hardline it should merit. Morally is it any different to shoplifting, benefit cheats, fraud, etc? Trouble is if the game tried to stamp it out you would maybe get a more polished and stylish game, a football masterclass but equally less enthralling and entertaining. Be a bit like a form of team tennis with one group of very classy players dominating the game - yawn - we need a little cheating to give us also-rans a chance and spice it up.
  2. Pretty much sums up my position on our situation and Lowe. He is the only viable solution that offers us any hope until there is an alternative willing to throw their hat and their wallet in the ring or even a change in structure as has been discussed on other threads that excludes the big 3 and all the other non-execs but I just can't see that being agreed or someone stupid enough to put themselves is the firing line as CEO/Chairman. The anti-Lowe hatred is pure folly and getting a tad ludicrous to say the least. Saints just like all the other 92 league clubs have no divine rights to any particular status but at least this season we can visibily see we are trying to improve our position unlike last year the players were probably more likely recommending financial advisors than developing playing/working relationships.
  3. Thank god we have Lowe in the hot seat to negogiate us through this minefield and fend off administration. What was Crouch's plan last year at the time a similar statement was made? Dribble on about a supposed takeover / cash injection which wasn't exactly a basket many of us would have been putting all our eggs in. Lowe may not be everyone's choice but he is our only real hope in the absence of takeovers dreamed off by Crouch or otherwise. So we are going to have to sell players, so what? JP and everyone else with any business sense knew that would be the case and I am sure it will be done in a way as to limit the impact on the team as best they can. That is everyone's interests even Lowe's. Skacel has had a couple of good games recently but you still don't need extra fingers to count how many good games he has had since joining Saints. Sell all those out on loan. Sell Lallana, who has been more ineffective than effective this season and the same applies to Surman who regrettably has really gone off the boil especially at home. Remember its the mismanagement of the past two seasons which amounted to not much more than a gamble throwing huge amounts of money at players who actually by signing extended our odds of success. To be honest I don't understand what the fuss is about. If the likes of Debenhams and M&S have got to give their stock away at or near cost to generate some cashflow because their supporters (Delldays will appreciate what I did there) aren't going to visit them why should we be exempt when the same happens to us. Use it or lose it should be the message to the fans especially those draining their pockets to travel away but who refuse to go to home games even if you only amount to no more than 50, and that's being generous, lets face it you are acting very strangely, as if you.......No I won't go there.
  4. And Mr Greenridge, Sir, what happens when we lose? The anti-lowe's go on their usual unfounded rabid attack against the team, manager and the board whilst the more realistic fan can see that our performances against the likes of Birmingham, Cardiff, Sheff Utd, Wolves and now Reading show that we have a decent chance of being safe well before we play the 46th game of the season. I'm sorry but I can't apologise if a plan practically forced on the club by a badly managed missed opportunity (in every way) of the previous two seasons is being corrected by a fiscal policy that was ridiculed by those who wanted to gamble. You can't have a go against Lowe and the board when we lose and not expect some gentle ribbing back when we win. Until their is a suitable alternative on the table the message is simple get behind the team 100% as any other action is mindless, futile and more importantly damaging to the club. What is ironic though is that the team perform well away from home in front of many of our fans who have pledged to avoid home games because they are Lowe's strongest critics and have vowed not to return. They are therefore the most critical of the reliance on youth and the dutch set up and glorify in victory and yet cast their dark shadow of abuse to home games where the atmosphere has been immense but the nerves of our lads very evident. Time things changed. Its nothing to do with the way we play, please let's not kid ourselves about that fact it's purely psychological and there are some vociferous and notorious bad eggs out there masquerading as fans who are doing the most damage.
  5. Brilliant, perhaps you can try and remember that the next time you are on here whinging about the club and the decisions thay have been forced to make this season as a result of a badly mismanaged coup that turned to be nothing but an incompetent gamble. Lets hear some support for JP and the lads and all those who are supporting them. We have been unlucky against many of the top sides already this season and as I have been saying if we accept survival both footballing and financial as our target this season then we are going to be a damn site more successful than last season and wont be relying on other teams f***ing up. I hope those fans of little faith or those with their puerile agendas against the board start turning up for home games and give this club the support they need and deserve. BTW, the negativity that seeps like a cancer from this forum is clearly affecting the players and they can't be enjoying playing in front of their own fans, hence our far better away record.
  6. Call me old fashioned but I think you'll find they tend me either promoted from within, quietly head-hunted or appointed as a result of a merger or a takeover. FTSE 100 plc require chairman, send us your CV? No I don't think so. I agree with Robsk what has actually changed in the intervening period between Lowe leaving and Lowe returning. Now back, he is completely tied with the finances as to what he can do and I would challenge anyone in his position to have negogiated with our financiers and keep this club afloat any better than he has achieved. The matter of debate remains had Lowe not been ousted by Wilde & Co would we now be in this position? My opinion is that we unequiviocally would not be on the brink of administration and playing with a team made up of mainly apprentices had Lowe stayed. We would probably be a comfortably established, financially stable CCC club preparing for a return to the Premeirship as part of a 5 year rebuilding plan. Now we are in the survival game as a result of poorly managed gamble. Leon Crouch IMO is a comedian and should be on the stage, preferably the first one out of town. For someone who give the impression he is coated in Teflon when it comes to accepting responsibility for his role and decisions, it's surprising he needs by the looks of him to coat himself in oil. The last things this club need is Crouch and his henchman Trant doing one of their toe-curling press calls outside SMS. Stanley probably looking on and appluaidng.
  7. 3 posts a day I can't respond to every post but acknowledge everyone's thoughts nonetheless. Can we though ask ourselves if anyone could have halted the slide or done anything differently over the past 6 months with the banks literally tieing both hands behind the backs of every member of the board? We talk about missed opportunities but we weren't in a position to gamble at the start of the season. There are not many bookies who will let you have a bet on the proviso you pay them after you know the result. Even if you bet on credit you only have 2-4 weeks to pay, not long for a new and experienced manager to prove himself. The problem is we missed the opportunity when Lowe was removed from office 3 years ago and that is when the damage was done. He left and what really changed? We became a staging post for players looking for their swansong. If we have to have a target for abuse I honestly believe Lowe is not the one who should be in the line of fire and certainly not for his efforts in the past 6 months. No money, crushing debts and a disaster of a failed new dawn policy, what else could he have done? Bottom line like last season its not over until the final whistle of the final game and I firmly believe if we all try and get behind the team improve our support we could go into the final game of the season safe and what a result that would be. Lets face it, Charlton and Watford are seriously in the dirty stuff and Forest and Doncaster apart from some good results last week still have a look of the S****horpe and Colchester's about them from last season so its once again a fight to avoid 22nd. Same situation as much of the past 30 odd years, just a different league don't you think? United we stand, divided we fall. They are not empty words and in any event I genuinely believe that where there is hope and all that. Hope and a positive attitude married with an appropriate level of expection i.e. survival and avoid administration then some of those unlucky results already this season we can turn around in our favour going forward. This air of negativity is sucking the life out of all of us and for what purpose. Did your coach never yell at you when you were 4 down playing in the freezing driving rain on some dogsh1t strewn council pitch, 'Comm'n Lads it's not OVER UNTIL it's OVER!' Lets have some hope and unity instead of dropping our heads like some disappointed and bedraggled schoolboys, COYRS!!!!!!
  8. John by your standards that comment is unacceptable and you can only hope of course you are right. Surely you don't believe old age isn't the only killer the depressing stories in the news this week about social services and changes to driving laws should tell you that you are silly to say things like this even if you were under 10 years old.
  9. What a depressing bunch of posts and despite someone erstwhile commentators and visionaries on here not one positive suggestion to suggest how the club may turn it's fortunes around. Just the usual synopsis of 'it won't change until Lowe leaves'. Really? And then what? Stop wollowing in a morass of self-despair and actually put forwrad some practical solutions that you would do if it was you today sitting in Lowe's chair and faced with his predicament. Suicide is not an option! Topcat is right about apathetic employees but what he doesn't mention is that the administrators will look to retain the services of the bright and enthusiastic employees and not those who simply sit back and accept their lot. Likewise they will also look at the clientbase and assess their enthusiasm for the companies product and if there is no market deemed big enough to support it.. well you can work it out for yourselves. No good flogging a dead horse. United we stand divided we fall and positive action is required and by that I mean positively support the club not campaign for another unsatisfactory round of musical chairs in the boardroom from the known alternatives. Someone else comes to the fore then lets discuss their merits but until then support or shut up, it is your negativity that is bringing the rest down and making the situation worse.
  10. I'm sorry Doug but your posts have become the epitome of the dogma that pervades this forum that I mentioned in my previous post today and has no basis in the reality of our situation. Lowe isn't going to go until a suitable alternative is assured. Put yourself honestly in his shoes are you going to deliberately ruin the club as you infer or turn down a reasonable offer for your shares? Those shares incidentally represents the work you have put into the club aand regardless of how your efforts have been perceived you have undeniably worked hard at trying to get it right and may feel you have a right to be rewarded by hanging on to them until you feel the time and price is right. He probably is the most hated and devisive person at the club but where would we be now under Crouch's leadership? Again put yourself in his shoes and ask why you are so hated and is it a fair assessment. Apart from his blue-blooded background has he got it so wrong to be villified by the unrealistic minority? Why can't we reunite with Lowe in charge? If he is the enemy then surely it is better to reunite before he leaves if only to give confidence to the new incoming chairman who would surely look at the role at the moment as a poisoned chalice. Any new owner is unlikely to be keen to buy into a club on its knees and with a disunited fanbase so the best way to get Lowe out is surely to unite now and at the very least support the team. There are not better alternatives. I understand that Salz was an advisor to Crouch and has not exactly thrown his hat in the ring so saying we would like him to be our chairman is a bit like saying we would like John Terry to be at the heart of our defence. Until there is known intent to, as a minimum voice a public interest in the job then the alternatives remain one of the 3 IMO. If it is all about the money then the choice Doug is indeed simple. United we stand, divided we fall and then and only then will Lowe be able to move on as a strong customer base with associated strong revenues will improve the good will on the balance sheet for anyone mad enough to get involved, we are afterall in the grip of a global downturn.
  11. Wes, firstly in my previous posr today i should have said that board's cannot make decisions solely based on what is popular with the fans. You are right that in effect we are the leisure industry and we need to reflect the desires of our customers but I don't think that extends to influencing decisions over the appointment of personnel. Ticketing policy is another thing altogether and I would support any cut price scheme that require a commitment from both sides other than one off purchases. I believe the club have announced a half-season ticket scheme that will deliver benefit to both fan and club but whether thay have pitched it attractively enough remains to be seen. I think their approach may again have been a little reserved and whilst I would not support reducing tickets for one off games like they have for Forest (it does not promote any loyalty from the fan) I would support (as a season ticket holder) the selling of a half season ticket for the last 13 games for around £150 (c.50% saving). This would be a strictly one off to increase numbers and allow non-season ticket holders the opportunity to buy one and take advantage of the early renewal system in March. I think this would represent intent on both sides to nuture and renew a productive customer relationship. My views on your proposal of an independent board is simply that assuming we are talking about working within the confines of the plc stucture then I would prefer to have shareholders running the business and extending that share ownership thoughout the company. I simply believe that if you own something you'll work harder to look after it. However, I would like to see your board installed as non-executive directors charged with the responsibility of ensuring the company is managed in the best interests of all shareholders, as they should be and IMO failed in the past. Ultimately, they would be judge and jury and would effectively eliminate the power struggle that has proven to be so divisive. That said I still firmly believe that Lowe is the best person certainly of the major shareholders to currently run the club. If there was a person available who had a majority shareholding or had the backing of the majority then I would support their appointment provided their experience and potential stacked up against Lowe just as you would if you performed your due-diligence on any candidate within your own company. Dreams are not borne out of pragmatism but at the moment I do think we have to be a touch pragmatic to help put us back on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, some fans have become unbearlingly dogmatic in their anti-Lowe stance which IMO wont help us as a club achieve either our current practical aims or realise the hope of our dreams. It's that dogmatic approach that actually results in the level of activity on this forum falling off the edge of a cliff everytime we win. The dream maybe to replace Lowe and there is a time when it is right for anyone of us to move on in life but it would be an enornmous folly to allow someone to move on without even a suitable sticky plaster to tape over the gap. I just hope the refusal of some to even support the club because of Lowe and that have created this unpleasant civil war within us will not hinder the dream of many of having a new chairman, owner or board. It will take a brave group or individual to take it on at the moment and for that I don't think we can blame Lowe. Lets face it when you strip it down he his just a man trying to do his job and protect his interests as a shareholder of the company which employ him. I always ask myself would I do any different in his shoes? Seems to me to be doing most of the things I wanted to be done during Crouch's reign so on balance I'm happy if not ecstatic about the currrent situation given the known alternatives.
  12. Wes, with regard to the release of Pearson, I believe that even your hypothetical board of independence would have concluded that Pearson was not the man for the job. I don't think he made 'marked' improvements in a failing team although I do think he managed to eke just enough improvement to ensure our survival but it was a very close thing to say the least. Secondly, solutions that are popular with the fans are not always what is best for the club. IMO Crouch and his close circle of advisors have proved that point but I acknowledge there has to be a balance to avoid a fan protest. I think you may conclude that if Saints or any other club made decisions on what was popular with the fans then we all would be knocking on the door of the 'poorhouse'. Pearson, seemed to show an ability to motivate seasoned professionals and those holding the purse strings knew ony too well that to cut our operating costs and appease the banks players of this type were going to be released. Your proposed board structure would have been no different especially if they were as shrewd and business savvy as you suggest. Therefore, in their analysis I think it was reasonable to conclude that Pearson's own effectiveness would be diminished and I think they probably looked at his use or lack of use of players like Lallana last season. He scored a massive goal for us at WBA but what impact could a player like that have had if used earlier in Pearson's campaign? The crux of the issue then comes down to the fact that were the board right to appoint the Dutchmen or go for a more established manager from the English game who was available at the time? It's easier to argue a case for JP and Wotte from a youth point of view until you assess the quality of the league they were operating in but Wotte's expereince at PSV could be argued to be better than many other options including Pearson. What other experienced managers were available or willing to move to Saints in the close season with a CV showing a proven ability to develop and use youth players. Neil Warnock? Cotteril? Dowie? I'm no expert on the merits of experienced managers but my guess is that we couldn't afford an English manager with that level of ability and even if we decided to gamble a portion of our available credit (if any) then that would hardly sit well with our bankers insisting on drastic cost cutting and financial prudence for their continued support. My personal position from day 1 with regard to short term targets, has been our survival in the CCC and avoid administration at all costs. What the club has not been very good at is communicating the probablity that this is indeed their own realistic targets and perhaps a less guarded approach from them would be more appropriate. Some of JP's decision have been strange but the man is a rookie manager in the 5th most difficult league in Europe and if you consider the salary and money thrown at Burley then in that context JP's performance can be put down to rookie mistakes and we can be confident its not the case of some arrogant old school manager unwilling to change his 'successful' blueprint for football maangement. Time is all we have in an excess at the moment and if JP can help the club achieve it's apparently modest but not insignificant targets for this season then that will be a job well done. I remain convinced he can and this club will turn the corner in the next 5 years provided we continue to batten down the hatches and the fans recognise and understand our shortcomings but continue their much needed support nonetheless.
  13. To be fair asking anyone who they would replace Lowe with is missing the point and just takes us down the avenue of discussing the merits of potential replacements regardless of their likelihood of accepting such a role. The bottom line is that Lowe IMO is the best of the known alternatives and in fact is the only credible candidate at the moment based on his experience as a football chairman alone. That said should a new candidate arrive then and only then can we assess if that person could make a positive difference. During Crouch's thankfully short but ill-conceived reign I would have been very happy to see Salz takeover just for his gravitas but at the sametime you have to question the shrewdness of a man of his obvious qualities buying into the club unless it was to rescue it post adminsitration which still must be avoided. Not sure if Wes is alluding to Salz being appointed along with an independent board of directors as paid employees of an investor but if so it would be diffcult to see the logic in this for Salz taking into account his other commitments. If so who is the potential investor? More conjecture and pointless debate. Personally, I think having shareholders on the main board actually helps them to be more considered in their decision making as ultimately if the company performs well they will benefit and share ownership schemes remain a popular and rewarding culture in many companies (Lehman Brothers excepted). The issue is to ensure you have a board of influential and demanding non-shareholding non-executive directors with the bite to advise and correct when necessary. Previous non-execs in my opinion have had about as much kudos and clout as the Teletubbies. The comment about the strikers is well made but until someone can categorically say that it was for financial reasons and how much those 3 were on a week collectively then its simply conjecture and we could argue about it for weeks without resolution. My guess is they were probably taking out about 30k pw in total and any replacement we have brought in we are not paying that much, we would hope. Lowe for all his alledged faults is not stupid and cutting costs is an obvious strength and whilst we have a chance of staying up and avoiding administration then surely for now that is something to build on. Arguably our biggest mistake has been the reliance or misconception that Svensson and Lancashire would be our defensive wall. Any money we have surely must be spent on the defence and we were making that mistake when Burley had £7m burning a hole in his pocket so hardly a stick to beat Lowe with. In short no matter how much we discuss the merits of Lowe and potentially better solutions Lowe is the only one visibily trying to keep this club alive at this moment in time. Therefore, until challengers to the current set up throw their hat in the ring why don't we all simply get on with the job of supporting the club in it's hour of need. I can guarantee it will be more productive than some of the twoddle being peddled as support on other threads.
  14. Wasn't Halloween last month? When did the car keys go in the pot, looks like the bloke in the foreground has jusr drawn the keys for the Transvestite's Allegro. Which one is Abigail? Truly frightening.
  15. Talking of respect..........BTW Um Pahars a few thousand of us posters must have had last minute meetings that night and it obviously grates with you that you were one of the 20 clowns to go along and support that particular circus. (The rest of the crowd was made up of plants, F&F and until their eviction journalists). I suspect you still suffer from the cringe and embarrassment factor of going especially with the dubious quality of the question master/compere. For the record I think I was attending my son's parent's night, so not sure where this meeting up north comes into it, still when have you let facts get in the way of trying to score a few points. Bye Steveeeeeeeeee. I like the violin - just a pity you can only play one song.
  16. Thank you Wes, if you are prepared to support injustices no matter who the target is then perhaps I have misunderstood you and we have more in common despite our polarised opinions on the current situation at the club. Its a pity the owners and mods of this forum don't share your values. Seems you can't call an old manager a joke name like McEnemy without an infraction or ban but insult a fellow poster with regard to their sexual deviances or laugh about the state of their mental health then that is considered fair game, unless of course they are old school and anti-Lowe. Anyway, I appreciate your time to respond in my defence and I will try and continue to debate with you but hopefully in mutually more measured tones in the future. However, there are many on this forum who clearly do not merit any level of respect. Regards SB
  17. Oh dear Gordon, it seems irony is actually lost on narrow minded individual's like yourself. Perhaps I need to make my wit a little more obvious but I was trying to say that as the club's historian Holley is perhaps unlikely to embrace the future. I thought your Gary Glitter inference/veiled insult was a little unnecessary but the mere fact you consider using his name as a point of reference suggests more about you than myself. No doubt the S has long since dropped off your swimming trunks. Enjoy the game today in case you've lost sight of what it's all about.
  18. Intersting an email that within it's heart seems to be requesting the status quo is maintained. You couldn't make it up.
  19. Don't you think there is a delicious irony to the words of our club historian? I didn't have the pleasure of hearing his comments but I suspect they possibly even made McMenemy's old rants about Lowe seem positively liberal and yet like our lovable adopted geordie I suspect any viable solutions to our club's woes were not exactly forthcoming other than it appears another episode of the Magic Roundabout. Anyone simply replacing Lowe is not going to have an immediate effect on the fortunes of this club and will effectively have to follow the path of prudence currently being adopted with the required realistic, blunt and thick skinned approach. We may see a short term rise in gates when the well rounded anti-lowe fan decides it's logically time to return with their support but the numbers will soon drop off again when the situation gets even worse under a chairman trying to deliver fan friendly policies in a cloud of rhetoric and false promises. Duncan Holley IMO is as forward thinking as one of his books and with a pathetic little chip on his shoulder over a brusque phone call with Lowe in busy chairman gives supporter a curt brush off shock. Get over yourself Duncan, Rupert has shown you the way to forgive and forget afterall. Divisive? Its as divisive as you and those who illogically favour your stance want to make it. Personally, I prefer to support the team with the rest of the excellent and unwavering support we continue to witness at the ground. Thankfully, long gone are the days when the crowd go quiet if we go a goal down. Perhaps the moaners and sulkers are on here dipping their proverbial pens in poison to drive another nail into what they hope will be our club's coffin. A message to the stay away posters, keep up the good work, it rewards the resilience of the true supporter.
  20. Oh well, better close the forum. Toomer is not wrong discussion over. BTW Toomer what 3 journeymen would have helped us, Idiakez? Laziak? Jasmine? Unlucketti? Vignal? Ostlund? Licka? Any of these would jump into our first team would they? Skacel's influence lasted one game - was he tired? As for Bootboy I'm confident he is operating at his level but he won't get Leicester promoted and Mandaric won't put up with too more many 0-0's at home against the likes of Northampton. Every cloud and all that.... I would've argued that not securing Richard Wright on a contract was our biggest mistake but Kelvin has been stoical, resilient, commanding and unstinting in his role in goal. Shoe in for player of the season if he keeps it going and the fans of this once great club (not including the fantastic support form the Northam) will do to well to show some of his passion. But of course you are, as always, absolutely right so I won't argue with you. Oh before I go, Vincent Pericard?!
  21. Shall we let this comment of yours sink in to the logical cortex of our brains shall we? Apart from the very richest of owners name me any club's chairman who is willing to lose millions simply for results. IMO it would take £50m to get us out of the CCC and then some more to avoid coming straight back down. Most will need a return on their massive investment. You blame Lowe for not putting his millions into the club - hello, I don't think he is that wealthy to be able to give money away to a cause supported by a bunch of opinionated whingers who have done nothing but slag this club off for the past 4 years. Shall we have Crouch back so he can inject his millions or McEnemy and his productive ideas and cash injections? The trouble is with the majority of the fans on this forum, who appear to be abandoning the club in its greatest hour of need, is that you expect someone to come along inject millions of their hard earned and yet you won't inject £24 for a match day ticket! YOU ****ING IMBECILE DONT YOU SEE WHERE THE REAL PROBLEM LIES? You and many like you are the folly and ultimately the reason no one with one iota of sanity remaining will invest in this club unless they can sell it off and literally put you out of your misery. **** off down the road and buy yourself a bell.
  22. Saints fan? The man is a committed southern red, allegedly. No doubt when it suits his personal agenda he'll be back putting the boot in like a reformed Joey Barton kissing the badge.
  23. Food for thought... 3. What is the role of the Administrators? Administration is a procedure available in the UK to a company that is insolvent, or is likely to become so. The procedure involves placing the company under the control of one or more insolvency practitioners and the protection of the UK courts. Once appointed the company acting as Administrators became officers of the court and have a fiduciary responsibility to protect and realise the assets for the benefits of all creditors. Accordingly, the key objectives of the Administrators are to maximise the values of assets and realise this for the benefit of all creditors. No individual creditor or group of creditors can be preferred in any way. All creditors have to be treated equally. 4. What are the guiding principles of administration? The Administrators have to act under the following guiding principles: The primary duty of the Administrators is to realise assets for cash for the benefit of all creditors. They need to obtain the best price for the assets, in the light of the prevailing market for such assets and any special circumstances requiring them to realise assets quickly Each legal entity must be treated separately. The Administrators will only convey whatever right, title and interest SLHplc companies in administration have over the asset. Creditors of the same type or class (e.g. unsecured) must be dealt with on a pari passu or equal basis since the estate is insolvent. The Administrators are officers of the court and have to deal with creditors on an even-handed basis. Assets and liabilities which are not owned by the SLHplc companies in administration do not form part of the insolvent estates. The Administrators, therefore, need to determine the status of all assets and liabilities. Where assets are held in trust, the Administrators may deal with them (e.g. return them to the owner), but the Administrators need to ensure that creditors in the same class are not disadvantaged; Administrators may insist that the costs of dealing with this are borne by the owner and not by the rest of the estate. Where actions or queries are of no, or minimal, value to creditors, the Administrators reserve the right not to spend any time in dealing with them Where the Administrators settle with a counterparty, they may insist on no set- off in relation to pre-administration acts or omissions The Administrators act without personal liability. In short the club would be broken up and sold off if a buyer could not be found to pay off the companies existing creditors. People think administration is some easy meal ticket like an IVA. A chance to wipe the slate clean and start again albeit under new restrictions. Trouble is you are all making one massive assumption that in administration we would find someone willing to do what Lowe/Wilde are trying to do in making this club a going concern and not at the mercy of some oiligarch's whim. It's been said a buyer only needs £20m, well in the current market please step forward we'll be pleased to meet that person for they are sure to be a bigger fool than those already wanting administration to purely oust Lowe and Wilde. Oh and -10pts, no staff apart from just a skeleton staff to assist with the closure and of course no players. Still want administration?
  24. There is perhaps a more pertinent Jewish saying that will make a perfect summary of the whole issue: A man who gives charity in secret is greater than Moses. Its a pity Mr Wheeler chose not to follow this advice and keep his charitable work private like many, many other unsung heroes who expect nothing but give plenty in time and money.
  25. 'A living dog is better than a dead lion' Those who can support, those who cannot make excuses. Saints til I die and praying for reincarnation so I can do it all again.
