It amazes me that so many on here are such experts on goalkeeping and they know so much more than the pundits or the rest of us! Forster is a very good goalkeeper who has let in fewer goals than anyone else in the division. If any of our strikers could do as well in terms of scoring goals I, for one, would be delighted.

We were lucky but should have been ahead at half-time. I feared that would cost us but MoM Forster kept them out. Schneiderlin was also immense. Some of the others kept giving the ball away too cheaply- and as for poor JWP when he came on - fish out of water. He simply wasn't in it. Anyway, two points off Chelsea this season will do nicely.

Today is an opportunity for Shane Long to show what he can do.

We could get a result at Chelsea - the great disappointment is the bad run we have just had - just 4 points out of Swansea, QPR, West Ham, Liverpool, WBA. If we had taken the 11 points I anticipated look where we would be!

I think he might stay if we manage to finish in the top five. There are certainly plenty of pessimists on this board.

We all might criticise JWP but if it were not for him we may well not have scored last night - he saw the opening and hit the ball well.

When Pelle went off and Long came on we had a more fluid shape and some spaces opened up - one foo which enabled JWP to go through and shoot for the goal. I thought our defending in the last five minutes plus was the level of a pub team - why didn't we keep possession and play football - we could have had a second - but instead we just gave the ball back to them time after time! Sill that was three very valuable points.

Bring in Reed. It would be lovely to see a goal (scored by Saints).

I have very low expectations about this match and will go fearing the worst. Can we even manage a goal? I would certainly bring Reed back as he brings energy and passion - things we are currently lacking. As several reports said today we are too slow and dozy at the moment.

I am really fed up with this sort of cr ap that is just scurrilous rumour-mongering and designed to destabilise our club.

We need to be prepared to shoot and hit the target from the edge of the box not try to be too intricate. We ought to be practising this - our midfield players do not score enough goals. We should be prepared to sub Pelle off and try a different approach every now and again. The top sides do not all play all the time with a great big centre forward.

I agree - give Seager a try. We can't score less than zero can we?

This not down to bad luck! They simply seem unable to shoot and hit the target. Why don't we have players prepared to shoot on the edge of the box? We are over-reliant on Pelle and ought to be prepared to use other formations when the big centre forward plan isn't working.

A lot of our players simply do not look good enough. The inability to shoot is woeful. 1 goal in 5 matches and 4 points out of 15. This is awful.

This is a very poor show.

Why won't they have a shot on the edge of the box? It defies belief this mucking around.
