Against Coventry our defence were dreadful - bordering on the ridiculous on occasions. Surely they understand basic requirements such as cutting out crosses and challenging for headers? I was also concerned about how slow they looked on occasions.

Let's hope this works out - i remain to be entirely convinced.

Very poor defending - and far too many unforced errors in giving the ball away (and Surman was as bad as the others). There were some nice passing moves but no cutting edge. We need a natrual goal scorer and don't seem to have one. Disappointing - but defence is the real problem - they cut through like a knife through butter.

Good move. It's a shame we have to wait so long for the new season!

Notwithstanding the Sky curse, I am going for 2-1 to Saints.

It is true that there are a lot of moaners on here!

A professional footballer should not miss from the penalty spot.MLT is allowed one miss in 49 - scoring around 98 % is acceptable. But do Saints still score 98 % of their penalties? Not today - we missed 50 % of them!
